Good to see that the "Tottering Tower of Terror" has not altered much in the past 7 years. A short spade comes in handy.
Yes, not budged an inch.
the tottering tower of terror has been up 20 years now colin, but noticed some major movement in the roof there over the last year
Your videos never fail to entertain!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Thanks, we try our best, some entertaining videos in the pipeline :)
That was a “lovely” trip. I went into full mother hen mode for that one!! “Thor, don’t go down into that hole”, “Thor get out of that hole,” 😂😂
Yes, been waiting to do that one for years but never quite got around too it. Walked 6 miles to get there after walking to another that turned out to be collapsed just inside.
Now that was an adventure and entertainment
Thanks, glad ya enjoyed :)
That's one incredible mine! Thor had me on edge thinking he was going to get stuck and definitely not a place for beginners. When you talk about false floors I just get a image of someone falling through a section that gives way underneath them and all the water then suddenly disappears down with them to totally flood where they have fallen into. I can see why you turned around on your first visit. Brilliant as always, please take care and stay safe 👍👍👍⛏️⛏️
Imagine what it was like being there, watching him lol. Yep, not a newbie mine. Thanks :)
@@UKAbandonedMineExplores Yep the words of "don't panic" come to mind.
Cream crackered is one of my favourite technical terms and is applicable in almost every situation! 😂
Those ceilings were sketchy as hell in places! 😱
lol, we usually say ‘fubarred’, but I couldn’t remember that word at the time lol.
@@UKAbandonedMineExploresthat is a popular term in this house! Generally used in relation to anything I’ve attempted to cook or any DIY I’ve attempted 😅
@@Rossespinne😂😂
‘Whoosh’ i remember in 1880 when davey got drunk and fell down there where the pole was obviously wasn’t there then lol
Yes, just after filming that section, we switched the camera off and a ghost from the late 1800s who had been sitting nearby, smoking a pipe as he watched us told us about that incident too :)
@@UKAbandonedMineExplores that must of been davey he stayed there the rest of us moved on up the hill
WOW this mine was very sketchy in places & how you squeezed through those tight cracks amazed me! Squeaky bum time!😱 You are all incredibly brave what a fab explore thank you! ❤😊👍PS THOR found another hole to poke, CLASSIC! 😂😂
it something you get used too over time. and an ability to read the rocks :) Glad you enjoyed :)
@06:13 that id roof peel hello from down under opal miner here that back (roof) is a widow maker just look at the drop on the ground as you crawl through...............that good people is beyond blocky nasty bad ground. @09:00 that vertical crack on the back (roof) is a definite widow maker looking for somewhere to happen in my humble opinion. Sorry got to 19:09 as a miner I would not even have gone that far , with the water seepage and the blocky ground that place is a death trap. It wont need a few bang sticks to seal the portal just a ground shake will do the job. Stay safe good people.
Yes, not a nice environment but something you get used to and be able to read and treat with respect. Still more to explore at that one, you missed a few of the main features by stopping there :)
Excellent video. Thanks very much for sharing ! A lot of it looks a bit sketchy though.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed. Not quite as bad as we thought, although there is still plenty to go by the looks of it :)
I've really enjoyed this Steve. I remember it from before. I like a good half hour video too. Some of those walls look like they're all leaning to the right, unless that's how they were cut.
Glad you enjoyed it :) Yes, they were cut that way as they were following the vein of lead :)
@@UKAbandonedMineExplores so interesting.
Well, that was awesome! Looks like some of our anthracite mines
Yes, similar shale to some I’ve seen in your videos, just smaller blocks.
Very nice effort
Cheers, glad you enjoyed :)
21.19 , WHO IS SAYING HELP ME ? nice video .
Thanks, yes, that was me lol
scary place
Indeed :)
looks like a high risk high reward place, wonder what secrets are waiting down some of those sketchy holes
Yup, got a good idea what is down there now :)
Its a vile hole, unrelenting crawls, deep water, bad roof. From one of the LH sumps (23 min) there is a short SRT route down to the sublevel, then horse level below, but deep water behind massive roof falls puts the kybosh on any progress, never mind a clear way to the famous now-lost flats. The ally ladder is mine, as is the Teetering Tower of Terror. You did well to get useable footage
Yes, interesting place thanks, we went many years ago but didn’t go past the tower as it freightened us. Yes, gonna look down there at some point and explore those dodgy bits with a larger team. Found signs of another entrance to the complex hidden away with the drone, yet to look on foot.
😅❤👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ please let me ASK a question, IS there between Home kitchenwater and minewater a Temperature Difference ? IS the minewater Feeling colder ? Thank U 4 Answer and thanks for publishing the Video 👷🏻 top Quality ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐📽️👍
Mine water feels colder but no definitive answer unfortunately, depends where you live :)
At 3.44 there is an aluminium ladder. Obviously that was brought in. Have introduced that or is it other explorers?
Somebody else’s. Wasn’t there last time.
✨🏴✨🥰✨👍✨♥️✨🤗✨.
