Disturbance near Florida likely to form

- FOX 13 News Meteorologist Jim Weber says there is a 70% chance that a disturbance in the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico will form over the next week. The disturbance could pose a threat to Florida, according to Weber.

After all the hype and scare tactics of the media regarding this hurricane season, I'm happy it's been quiet.
That’s because they have no idea what they are talking about. We can predict the next week or two but that’s about it. Climate predictions past that timeframe are hot garbage and can safety be ignored.
It’s still early; remember 2020, when had weekly storms through December.

@@firnobulaxit’s true. There’s so many equations and models (it’s overkill) and the GFS is less accurate today than a decade ago. There’s 100 models. None of it means jack squat. What matters is ratings not science lol

I’ll take a gyre to go, hold the onions.
Prepare for heavy wind and lotsa rain, spin off tornadoes. Pray for the high to shield us. But gulf water is still very warm to fuel this storm. Don’t be lulled into a last minute prep time. NE side gets beat up too! Question now is how fast it moves up the gulf, which they don’t know yet, so prepare while it’s not humid tonight after the game today.
Fun fact: this year’s hurricane season is the slowest since 1965.
