There's actually been 4 Celebrity millionaire contestants to reach a Million dollar question. Chip Esten, Rosie O'Donnel, Norm Macdonald and another Whose Line cast member, Drew Carey.
I guessed the same as Chip & would have been wrong, but yes at the same time I would have walked away too. $500,000 is still a great chunk of change for charity :)
@@danreynolds14 Hey man, I'm doing well all right is probably the most accurate response, eh. Are you on or going to be on the new return season of Whose Line ? on the cee dub?
WTF, even back in 2001 the celebs were guaranteed 32k (if they failed before it, the charity just gets 32k anyway). He'd go down to 25k for charity from 500? This daytime version of Millionaire was absolute BS. Also, it's just weird. The questions are legitimately staggeringly obscure, you'd have to have like a PHD in early American etymology to be sure on this one, but it's on a daytime celeb special with bright colours and Cedric the Entertainer? Late-stage daytime Millionaire is one of the most tonally confused shows I've ever seen. Also I'm impressed the audience is so stoneface at the absurdity of these questions. They look like they've been drugged. Cedric was wrong, Drew Carey and Rosie O'Donnell also won 500k just like Norm McDonald. Anyway, Chip is apparently a handsome genius, good for him.
+Catg1222 When they were talking about his daughter it showed "Leukemia & Lymphoma Society" on the screen, so i'm guessing that's the charity he's playing for.
Cedric was wrong here though, 2 celebs made it to the $1million. Rosie O'Donnell made it also, but walked away. Her's was something about a composer graduating from college with what kind of degree.
Actually three celebrities have seen the million dollar question prior to Chip. Drew Carey was first with the question of which NFL player first used the phrase "I'm going to Disneyland!" after winning the Super Bowl. Then Rosie... (later that same week!) Then Norm... (which Drew witnessed when he was invited back on the show!) (although, something is tugging at me that another celebrity made it to the million dollar question which was what was Bart Simpson's middle name.)
nashvillan4lif Bart Simpson's middle name was Eva Herzigova's $500,000 question on a Supermodels edition. She walked away on that question and never made it to the $1,000,000.
When I was younger (I was 7 back then, 18 nowadays), I thought it was Buzzey just like Chip would’ve thought it was, but nowadays, I think it makes sense as to why the correct answer would be pifflicated because I don’t think that word was used often until like the late 1800s-early 1900s
That's how Millionaire was supposed to be. This is heavily distorted from how it started with Chris Tarrant in 1998 but taking all the time you want was the original rules. Some contestants took over an hour on one question, and you could walk with your winnings at any time. It was incredibly fair and forgiving in its rules really.

+Crash McCloud and no 1 won by celeberty
And the only one out of them I'm surprised by is Rosie O Donnell.
I think the host means under his watch not in the whole history of ametican millionaire
Only 1 famous person won the million
@@Marik7453 as of November 29th 2020 only 1 famous person has done it
I didn't realise his daughter had faced all that. bless her and his family. and the fact he did this for a charity in her cause. huge respect ☺
my ister had that aswell
Chippy is one smart cookie though! :)
Very talented and quick witted, plus looks phenomenal for a guy in his 50s!
Everyone on Whose Line are brainiacs!
That explains how ward Cameron got so rich.
I've met his daughter.. she went to my school.. she's so sweet
Hey🌹, all love and how are you doing today?

Such an awesome guy!

Good for him! Gotta know when walking away is the best course of action.

pifflicated wasn't part of the vernacular until around the time of the Russo-Japanese war

If you don't know always take the money unless you are at a question where you aren't going to loose anything.
2:35 Missing Question Graphics???
POV you gave up on the islands gold
😂😂this cracked me up so badly
So whose line in total won a million dollars 500k from chip 500k from Drew
Wow my instinct was c so I would've won
Only contestant to win $500,000 on syndicated millionaire in the 2010s
If he went on the Kimmel series he'd probably win the million without using any lifelines
So this is how Ward Cameron became a millionare
Ward?
I don't think anyone is going to win the million at this point.
This comment aged well
@@nintendonerdsvideos4727 Yes it has, since I was pretty much proven right. The new primetime version with Jimmy Kimmel is way better.
@@RyanSellman1 Yep, no risk and a house minimum makes for great televison..............

He's from the same city as the biggest failure in Millionaire history, Chase Sampson.
Chip is from Pittsburgh just working in Music City.
That was an utterly horrible Million Dollar Question
+tregard Even, when terry hosted and no 1 reached final question
Man, they get too much time to think about it
