      Barry and Sweetness had that kind of humble, prove it on the field nature. I think its what made them great. Payton was a bit more boisterous but still carried himself in that same way. They were both class acts.

      He's a bad dude. I'm a Bears fan and I remember Peterson breaking off 200 and 300 yard games in his rookie season. It's so rare in the NFL that a player's the best at his position since his very first game.

    As a 49ers fan, one thing I remember about Emmitt is how he never seemed to take big hits. He just had a knack for turning slightly or getting down the split second before the big hit came. That's got to lead to some longevity..

    I wonder what's the selection process for these roundtables. I love the mix of guys but I think it should be the Top 5 ALIVE all time at each position. Granted that list is subjective but I'm sure there are 4 names that are Undisputed as the best at the position that we can come to a consensus about.

    I think Roger Craig deserve to be there at the table. Even tho he started his career as a Full Back but during that position, he was the only one to rush for 1000 yards and catch for a 1000 yards in one season. When the 49ers changed hus position to RB there was no stopping him.
