Thanks for sharing. The Video was very helpful. I did purchase the Mimos pillow and my son is 3months. No flat spots just to prevent it. I, myself did purchase a MerryShop pillow that also prevents flat head but it was a lot cheaper than the Mimo's. I'm not to sure if it's helping, so I'm kind of nervous on allowing him to sleep on his head. We have been moving his head left& right since he was born. But I hope it doesn't affect his head positioning. Which is one of the big reasons why we purchased the Mimos. Again, thanks for sharing.
@Tammy Lansing I keep trying to reply to your comment but keep getting some error. Thanks for watching and I'm glad this video was helpful! Good luck with everything!
Have you seen any more improvement since making this video? I can't deceide between the Mimos pillow and the Babymoon pod. They both have good reviews.
+Solecool_O We own both pillows and the Mimos pillow is better in my opinion. It really seems to take the pressure off his head whereas when we use the baby moon pillow in his swing I feel like since the hole in the center is fully cut out his head can still touch the swing at times. It isnt a bad pillow but I think the Mimos pillow works better at reducing pressure. We have seen only minor improvements. I truly think it is because we started using the Mimos pillow late. If we had started using it at 3 months maybe by now we would have seen even better results. So sadly we didnt get the results I was hoping for :(
+Larissa G. Also, I think since we started using the pillow when he was around 4 and a half months he wasn't used to having a pillow under him and would just roll off or wiggle away from it and then just lay back on the spot he preferred adding to the flat spot. So I think if we got him used to having a pillow at a younger age he would have been used to using it and stayed on it and we would have seen more improvement. Also, keep in mind the Mimos pillow is the only breathable option and I would never advise using the babymoon pillow without supervising your child. Good luck with whichever pillow you choose and I hope you get great results!!!
+Larissa G. Thank you so much for responding. I ended up ordering the Mimos pillow. My son just turned 5 months old so I'm really hoping I'm not too late. I would've bought it sooner when we first noticed his flat spot when he was 3 months. We ended up taking him to his pediatrician soon after but she wasn't too concerned about it. She just recommended a lot of tummy time, repositioning, and neck exercises. After a month or so of doing all that we didn't see any improvements. I should've just went with my gut instinct and bought this pillow from the get go.
+Solecool_O Well good luck I hope it works! Just make sure at your 6 month pediatrician appointment point it out to your pediatrician and see if they recommend you go to the helmet/band specialists just to get measurements. The specialist will tell you whether they recommend it or not.
hi has they been anymore improvement sense.. my little man has a flat spot but at 5 month I'm worried it's to late to use this pillow and might need a helmet.
Hi, sadly we didnt get the results we anticipated since we started using this pillow too late. I think if this is started at 3-4 months the results would have been better but we started later... We ended up getting the helmet by choice since he was considered moderate and we figured he would benefit from the helmet. We have seen much better results now with the helmet and we are done with the helmet in 5 weeks. I have to say the helmet was the best decision we ever made and I am going to miss it in a way lol. It has protected his head from so many bumps since he is 9 months now and learning to pull up on furniture the helmet has protected him. And not to mention it is helping to round out his head. It doesn't bother him to have it on he actually hates when I take it off his head lol. If you have to do the helmet don't be worried it really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. We did however have to pay out of pocket for it since our insurance wouldnt cover since he was not considered severe enough. That was the tough part since it is pricey, but I am so glad we chose to get him one. Let me know if you have any questions about the helmet. Good luck with everything :)
thanks lv I think I'm going to make an appointment with the specialist and see what they say. I live in UK so would have to pay for it as NHS don't cover it, which is a big thing as it's very expensive but if he needs it, we will find the money. thanks for message me back lv
Yeah we had to pay also it was pretty expensive here too in the USA. def go see the specialist you never know they may say you won't need it since once babies are crawling and sitting they are not laying down as much and sometimes their heads round out on their own. However, if they say you need it then def try to get it because it is very helpful and does work. good luck with everything !!!!!! :)
Hi Larissa, I have a 3 months baby who likes to sleep on his right side. Now he has a flat part on his head on this side. Just wanted to ask you did this pillow made any difference? you did post this on March, so you probably know by now if its work. Please give me what is your opinion. Thank you in advance. Have a good day/evening. All the best
I think if you get this pillow now that your child is 3 months you may see some difference. For us our son was a little bit older and we ended up getting the helmet because we started using the pillow a little later...maybe if we started using it sooner we would have had better results ...He is all done with the helmet now and his head shape looks great and he actually really liked his helmet a lot ! We are glad we chose to get the helmet... But I will say I think the pillow would help a little it helped our son a little bit but we got better results from just getting the helmet . Good luck with everything !!!!
+Larissa G. Thank you very much for your opinion. This mean a lot to me. Will probably get the pillow. He sleeps on his right side all the time so I'll cross fingers to help. Wish you all the best Larissa and happy the problem with your baby's head is sorted. Take care. Maggie

my baby is 3 months old and will be 4 months on August 15th 2017 what size do you suggest I get?
An extra large (XL) would probably be the better size for your child. Thanks for watching :)
