Brompton Castle Hill Excavation 2021

This short film tells the story of the 2021 excavation on Castle Hill, Brompton where the field team opened up a massive 100 square metre trench to explore a medieval building belonging to the manor house that stood on the hilltop. The village is seven miles inland from Scarborough on the north side of the Vale of Pickering and the SAHS have been investigating the site of the manor house for several years.
