It really is too difficult to listen to her for more than 10 minutes before needing a break. She exudes darkness more than anyone I've ever seen before.

I haven't been able to watch her for more than a few minutes, so I skipped her testimony.

Agree. I've watched the trial live from day 1 on Legalbytes & Runkle pops in occasionally. I make a point of listening to every witness, procedure etc.
However on day 2 of her testimony...I fell asleep for 30mins! I nodded off because her voice drones...talking about a horrific act with the believability of a potato. When I woke up she was droning on about another almost identical but different crime. No one is buying anything she is selling. Even Lawyers who want to stay neutral.
One interesting observation on her credibility was when my 7 year-old, monolingual German speaker, watched AH's testimony for 10 seconds (no Germ. subtitles, dubbing or commentary). Unprompted by me, he said, "Well she really looks like she's pretending too hard".

One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that they are able to spot will be corrected before implementation.
I have been in a jury three times. We were told to hold off personal judgements until the entire court proceedings and evidence were presented. I did my best. I have attempted to refrain from any bias, or early judgement in this case as well.
However, after watching her extremely fake crying during testimony I stopped believing, or trusting her. The more I watch, the less I think of Amber Heard. I do not find her credible. I actually feel sorry for her lawyers at this point. They have a calculating, manipulating liar for a client.
The lawyers seem to have been gaslit by a gaslighter. They failed to do due diligence and took her at her word and now their case is crumbling before their eyes. They've been duped and we are watching them realize it in real time.
The peeing in the foyer fiasco convinced me she's misleading her lawyers. And she still went with it in her own testimony after the guard was clearly genuinely baffled at that question.
Its kinda odd though as lawyers you would think they would research her claims a bit to make sure they didnt sound stupid when questioning people. That Australia tape thats floating around contradicts mot of ambers testimony and theres no one on it telling johhny to put his penis away lol.

@@westieweardogkilts9715 On the muffins, someone aptly pointed out that it could also have been her ego getting in the way, thinking she was SO important and SO many people were SO excited to meet her that she twisted the story in her head in the moment such that Dr. Curry's husband knew she'd be there and was super excited about it and bought muffins just for her. It goes along with the princess complex her HPD creates. But the other ones, yeah, she's straight-up manipulating her lawyers and they're buying it hook, line, and sinker. You'd think they'd verify ANY of this before bringing it up in court. I hope they lose.
She's lying to her lawyers or not taking their advice on her story. They laid out a decent defense in opening arguments and she shot it to hell with her testimony. Her lawyers aren't great to begin with, but imo they are also struggling to deal with the insanity that is AH.

I swear there were a few segments during AH's testimony where the captions for her lawyers could have easily just been:

Throughout the trial, Elaine stuttered on every objection she got, because she wanted to counter right away without giving her brain a second to figure out what to say. "Aw, aw, aw, that's, uh, not speculation your honor"
I think the issue is that her lawyers have no clue just how badly a compulsive liar she is. I think they generally believed her story, but now they’re realizing she’s even lying to them

The urination line of questioning of the bodyguard clearly caught the lawyer off guard. I don't think he expected the confused denial that he got.
Liars don't just stop lying because you've taken their side. I have no doubt she lied to her lawyers.
Same with the whole of muffingate.. I can't imagine a competent lawyer going down a wormhole like that to end up nowhere unless their client told them something specific that turned out not to be true..

@@deth3021 i mean they made a pretty good case until Ambers testimony. If she wouldn’t have exaggerated that much she would most definitely won on 2 of the 3 points in the case. Then also her claims of SA would be more valid because she is then a more credible witness. Its just impossible to win with her i think

The biggest issue with this mirror is the fact she has testified that she barricaded herself for 12+ hours inside the bedroom and noone could enter.
If you look at the layout/blueprint of the bedroom, you will find that the only way into this bathroom-mirror, is thrue the bedroom. So, she is lying.
How could JD write anything on the bathroom-mirror, if only AH was inside the room?
There were also two pictures of the same mirror which Amber testified to have taken. The consistency and background can be a big deal. In the first picture, the red letters are much fainter. In the next, it looks much starker. Like Amber went back over it and got a better picture. Also things in the background have moved like shampoo bottles and her bathing suit bottom. She casually took a shower between pictures while being terrified for her life?
I really don't understand her not fessing up about the dumb lipstick sign. It could better prove her being stuck in that bathroom or at least establish a better timeline before she gets desicrated on cross. I guess she just wants to blame Johnny for everything, even insignificant things in a broader history. 🤷♀️ liars gonna lie.

Watch her with the sound muted, while she’s describing what happened, when she’s telling her side of the story. Watch her and see what she looks like… not like a victim at all but like an aggressor, even as she tries to cry. That’s her coming through
If you just listen to her when she is crying, she sounds 'normal' too.
I watched without sound, too, and the main emotion I saw on her face was contempt.

At least two issues: (1) AH keeps adding new lies and changing her story. I think some of this is fabricated as she testifies and takes her lawyers by surprise. (2) AH’s lawyers are not checking her story enough because of laziness, incompetence, or cynical belief that they can fool the jury with lies and witness harassment. Example: the magic time-traveling makeup kit that makes serious injuries like a broken nose and cut lip completely disappear. There is no way an honest, normal person would believe this simple self-applied makeup could actually do this even if the specified product had existed (which they did not check). If the lawyers bothered to examine the recordings and witness statements they would know she is a constant liar. Even aside from ethics issues, they keep stumbling over her old and new lies.
I say we bring in someone with a black eye and ask AH to conceal it....I mean she's been saying that she's the expert in hiding these injuries, right?
Great point about them thinking they are fooling the jurors. If I'm on the jury I'm angry, every blatantly false claim to their faces assumes they are idiots, I'd be offended.

I believe it is not the lawyers' complete fault, but Amber's. I think her constant lying makes difficult for her lawyers to keep up, because she catches them off-guard with new details they hadn't gone with before.
The makeup kit? Amber provided them with it and told her story about how she used it to cover her bruises for years, and the lawyers believed her. True, they should've verified she was telling the truth, but how could they have known she was probably lying about the date release of the kit?
From my perspective, if your defendant is changing the story every two seconds or so, there's only so much you as their lawyer can do at this point (except pray that the trial finishes soon and that you still have some credibility after this fiasco).
Amber Heard is a lawyers worst nightmare! She's fired so many, and others "got out while the getting was good". I feel like her present team are just the ones who managed to stick around. Somebody has to do it, right? I'm sure they've tried to get her to listen to reason, but NOBODY tells AH what to do! She's in the driver's seat, and that's why it's such a mess.
It's truly evil to premeditate this while still being married to him. Her plan has always been in place. She was trying to plant ideas in people who were close to the couple.

I honestly can’t recall the last time I had such resentment to a complete stranger . I’ve obviously been fortunate as I can safely say I’ve never known such a vindictive , spiteful and manipulative person in my life .

I came into this pretty much believing her after I'd randomly heard about it, but since watching some of the trial stuff it has become exceedingly obvious that she is a lying, manipulative, gold-digger and I'm wondering how she EVER got an acting gig at all. It's truly embarrassing and awkward to watch; anyone that believes her should have their license revoked, because they must be blind.

I don't know either irl, but from the testimony, and the almost complete lack of anything solid against Depp, I have found that I can't look at Heard when she's talking because I don't want to start hating all cute blondes. There are some women who look like Heard who aren't evil, and I want to leave the door open to them. That said, I think if there's one feminist on the jury, Depp will loose this case. After this is over, many will flock to the theatres to watch every one of his movies, but Disney will never hire him again. Still, he had to take her to court for obvious reasons (to anyone who's been watching this unfold). He slammed kitchen cupboards. That's the one piece of evidence against him.

when amber finished her second day of testimony and was escorted back to her seat, i noticed none of them would look at her. she sat down right next to rottenborn and he seemed to be intentionally ignoring her. their patience may be wearing thin
Could be preplanned so no glance or look at each other could reveal their feelings about how it went. May have known it could only be damage limitation at best beforehand.
She certainly didn't get any pats on the back like team Johnny gave him.

Add to this, according to the chronology of Amber's testimony, JD wrote it while AH was barricaded in the bedroom connected to the bath. The only way into the bath was through the barricaded bedroom. Blueprints of the home show no other means of access to the bath. This would call the entire chronology into question.
And didn't she testify there were like 7 other ways he could have gotten into that room, or was she talking about a different place? Hard to keep her stuff straight 🥴

Exactly, and the audio, he was the one barricading himself in bathrooms until it was safe and that is when he wrote in his blood. Art was soothing for him during the violence. But the minute it was safe, he went to the hospital. His team said that this event lasted half a day. She made up that it lasted 3 days and none of her story makes sense. She has the phone disappearing into the wall. Crazy stuff.
I think this happened when Johnny testified about him locking himself in the bathroom to keep her out . If you look at the mirror closely it has faint other messages under these two (the black and red ) These also were in black and red but they are faded . Maybe they both had wrote messages to each other or Amber had wrote loving messages before and while he was trapped in there he noticed them and wrote back in black "She loves nobody" etc... But who ever wrote the red message was a different person because the hand writing is different . All letters are even to the others and in the black they are up and down and all over the place .

I’ve watched this entire trial but I could not force myself through her testimony. Truly appalling and straight up uncomfortable to watch.
I’ve noticed a few times where Heard’s lawyers seemed to expect different answers than they got.
1. The penis painting when questioning Ben King . You would think he of all people would be extremely aware of every kind of damage he needed to repair. It was literally his job to handle it and he came across extremely professional.
2. Dr. Curry and the muffins. They spent WAY too long on that line of questioning for such a ridiculous outcome.
3. Johnny Depp urinating outside in Australia. A line of questioning that not only got nowhere but made people in the court laugh. It was another really odd moment.

Amber definately misunderstood where the muffins came from during her interview with Dr. Curry (I would even speculate that Amber was super offended because she thought Dr. Curry tells her husband 'secrets', no way she rembered a muffin talk otherwise), she told her lawyers and they thought they Dr. Curry had fucked up.
In the texts and recordings it is Amber who refers to Johnny as Babe, even mid argument on the recordings, Amber uses babe, could have missed it somewhere but I’ve never come across Johnny using babe. The babe is why I doubted Johnny was the author, you make a great point, thanks Runkle.

There is no way her lawyers do not know she is lying, they have all the evidence of her admitting she severed his finger and she didn't mean to hurt him. They also have all the tapes of her gaslighting him when he mentions her hitting him. No way could you look at all of it and say yes my client is not lying.

Hey Ian, I have a similar background as yours. I worked in criminal public defense for over 20 yrs, I profiled juries, helped with litigation strategies/storylines and a federal officer with DHS. Where to start...just wow. First of all, I noticed she hiding stuff in her tissues and water bottles/water bottle caps. She took out a bottle and was doing something and then when the female officer approached she quickly hid whatever she was doing. Also, since I have been in the courtroom, most may have not noticed this unless they are in court a lot, but normally when a supposed victim is on the stand and breaks down, security is on them in an instant and takes them out for a few minutes to collect themselves (see Rittenhouse they called for a break and officers were there) and they let her go on without any interruption. So this dod not happen in this instance. She went on for 10-20 minutes. Victims usually when they are on the stand only focus on their attorneys as a focal point, no one else in the courtroom. They will make the least eye contact possible with the judge & jury. They want to get in and get out. I remember for myself, I refused to be in the courtroom (which is termed as "avoidance") until I had to be on the stand. I waited outside the courtroom in the stairwell. Most victims do not give such graffic details of a traumatic incident. They downplay it. She was going back and forth not knowing whether she was coming or going. For example, she cleans up after him yet shits in his bed? We heard the audios, she was the instigator. She starts recording, video taping, taking pictures of him from what sounds like their first meeting, sometimes in states where permission from both parties is necessary like some sort of blackmail/intentional intent to harm "just in case things go bad" in doing so is cruel and creepy. You don't do that to someone you say you love, your fiancé/husband. Once upon a time, men were thrown in jail by people who could not produce evidence, that is why if someone is a victim they go to a doctor and report it and have the doctor or police take pictures. If one is SA victim, they go immediately to the doctor and have a crim sex kit done (swabbed on face, inside mouth, under nails, stomach, testing genitals, photos, all of this and pictures are done to turn into the courts. She takes pictures herself but doesn't take pictures of her injuries (bloody footprints?) She takes a pictures of everything else irrelevant, but not her injuries. This has upset victims worldwide who know what it's like to go through the abuse and then, the court system.

I was avoiding this trial because I can't stand celebrity gossip and did not give a damn.
That said what did suck me in was Amber Heard's lawyers and how incompetent they appear to be. I an fascinated to know what happened to this legal defense.
From the poor questions, to an unprofessional expert testimony, to the lack of good witnesses (for the defense) makes me wonder are they just phoning in this case, is Amber a difficult client that hindered their ability to make the case, or was there other factors.
It's a slow motion train wreck.

Getting a high profile case can bolster a firm's reputation however they have not had a good shoeing.

Some of the witnesses she used to have were caught lying. IO signed a statement that he was an "eye witness" but in reality, he was across the country shooting a television program.

Also the muffin incident, I feel like Amber could have told her lawyers something potentially salacious about the muffins and that’s why Elaine was so flustered by Dr Curry denying it… but that’s just speculation
When the psychologist told her that her husband " got these muffins for us" Amber assumed that the psychologist had mentioned her to her husband by name.
The lawyers either assumed Amber was correct or , more likely, just asked the question in case she was correct in which case the psychologist would likely have been disqualified as a witness. Worth a try

As someone who often uses both oil paint and lipstick, (and has used both on glass before, at different times) it's clear to me that the oil paint was on the glass first and the lipstick is layered on top. It also looks like a TOTALLY different handwriting, obviously. Oil paint tends to be pretty thick and opaque in most colors and is hydrophobic. Even the most opaque lipstick would slide more sheerly across glass since it's so smooth. The color might show up fully but you can tell the true opacity when you're trying to cover another color with it (such as this black). It won't do a great job of concealing a dark color underneath. That's why in some spots the black looks like it's on top. It's really just because the red is semitransparent in that spot. This would be compounded by the fact that the lipstick might not stick to the hydrophobic oil paint.
Note: although thick oil paint layers can take weeks to fully dry, a thin layer like this could dry to the touch in minutes, depending on the color. Different pigments affect drying periods drastically.
Some of that would depend on how much medium was used to thin the oil paint
You can see a black/red gradient in the A going left to right, you're definitely right about that
oh oh, i like your comment, to bad I saw it a year later. 😆The red is over the black, in my opinion too, look at the T in IT, the black paint is smeared down, also second L in CALL has a very tiny black line that continues later as a thicker line. Same with the second T in Better, and A in CARLLY. The second L in CARLLY looks like a continuation of the black line. The word after CARLLY looks completely red over black for the reasons mentioned earlier.
The A in SAID looks like black over red, but again look at the top of the A and the discontinued black line that gets thinner in the red area and thicker after it.
That pattern of thin and thick never happens with the red color.
But I ain't a forensic, I am just having fun, I paused the video at 8:08, and wanted to see for myself 😅 (Dunno why this video popped up now, but hey it is an interesting one).
I think it's a bit of both- misleading and her lawyers depending on the scenario. One I found REALLY interesting (mind you i dont know law or psychology, this is completely speculation) was the muffin situation with Dr Curry. The lawyers were under the impression, quite strongly, that Dr Curry had told her husband excitedly she was going to be interviewing Heard and he wanted to buy special muffins for Heard bc she's a famous actress. I believe that Amber misinterpreted what Curry said when she was eating the muffins with Dr Curry when Dr Curry said "my husband got these for us today" (bc she really thinks she's that special), when it was much more simple than that. What I get from the whole thing was she told her lawyers smn along the lines "Dr Curry breached confidentiality bc she told her husband who bought muffins for me specifically" or smn like that, and they ran w that to bring down her credibility. While Dr Curry explained what actually happened, leaving the lawyer going :T on the podium. I think that was Amber misleading her lawyers.
Yeah I picked that one up too. I don't think AH was misleading, I think she REALLY thought Dr Curry was bragging about AH to her husband. Because AH thinks she THAT special

She's so egotistical and self absorbed that she genuinely thinks that Dr Curry's husband wants her so bad that he totally went out of his way to get HER muffins bc in her warped head she believes she's better than Dr Curry in every way and Dr Curry was 100% bragging about meeting her. She probably believes that Dr Curry gave her diagnosis of BPD and HPD only bc she was so jealous and threatened by her as there's no way she has anything other than "PTSD" bc she's perfect. She thought that she would perfectly manipulate Dr Curry bc she's so much smarter too

I just hope this case brings light to narcissistic abusers.. and the fact that they can be male/female.. and just how twisted and sick narcissists are in believing there own fallacies. I was abused at a young age by a young man who is now a respected member of the community and a firefighter ppl think he's good when behind closed doors he's sick and abusive. My husband's ex was a narcissist and dealing with her and the damage she causes to the two children she abandoned is a lot.
I just hope ppl will start standing up and calling out their abusers I think we should publicly shame and call out all abusers

Maybe ethics are rarely enforced, idk, and this is civil, not criminal. Or refusing to file a countersuit in the first place.

Sorry, but I think you're wrong, this is an important wake up call that you can't just say "believe men" or "believe women" and call it a day. Male abusers are out there, but there are also women like her out there and most people were forgetting the second part of the equation. I mean you're right that she's despicable - but some good may come out of all this.
It went way way way past that point, to the point that it had become a racket to be rewarded as a female victim. To the point that there is even training to convince a jury in court to just believe, all perpetrated under the guise of vulnerability. Most damaging is that there are few people that actually need it and lot exploiting a broken system driven by a trend.

I'm so angry at the ACLU also, even if you believe she's a victim (I don't) her own words tell us she is also a domestic abuser and thinks it's funny that men are not believed. I disagree. It is very clear to rational people who are not just blind followers based on her being a woman. She stands alone as an individual and I don't think most people perceive her to represent the rest of women.
On a related note, it is very sad and should be a crime the way she is exploiting actual abuse victims in the name of money. When she loses, if the full settlement is awarded it might be just the start of her substantial losses.
Society around the world sees her and most will never accept her as a serious actor again, this trial is karma in action.

If the borderline diagnosis is accurate ... oh boy! Good luck to her lawyers. It's actually pretty common that they will remember things differently than what happened, and the story can change dramatically from one retelling to another. And it's not even necessarily intentional lying. It would be a challenge to have someone like this as a witness.

I have been asking myself this question ever since Lawyer Karen asked about JD urinating in front of his bodyguard and the bodyguard’s response (it was hilarious). Did AH just lie, or did the lawyer just misjudge the bodyguard’s likely response?
Yeah, Depp's bodyguard wanted to get him out of there, and Depp asked for 2 minutes to say his peace, or something similar. Amber's lawyers ran with this in a nefarious manner, claimed it was near impossible for the bodyguard to get Depp out of there instead of the bodyguard honoring Depp's request, completely mistaking the testimony to begin with and to claim the bodyguard was just not strong enough to get Depp away. Depp wanting to say some last things to Amber before going and that makes sense after such an incident, where all evidence shows Depp's injuries and their aftermath in evidence are of Depp's injuries sustained while absolutely no evidence supports the claims of injuries Amber has testified to, yet Amber is using the evidence of Depp's injuries as her own lol!!
Amber's alleged injuries were of being drug and cut through broken glass and having cut feet, so we'd see smudges and smears of blood smeared against the floor which isn't found throughout the evidence, or bloody footsteps instead of just blood droplets from what seems to be height which don't seem to be found, where the evidence showing blood in a bed is likely from Depp trying to sleep there and the pillow having two dots of blood likely from Amber using Depp's face as an ashtray, where the blood dots are from Depp's facial injury pressed against the pillow and the blood mid-section is likely from Depp's finger injury, while Amber attempts to claim that evidence is of her own injury which is a brand-new claim over the years, where she now claims r@pe of all things?! Depp wanted to say his peace before going, Amber and her lawyers are claiming this was for Depp to further write messaging with peeing in the house, these narratives are far removed from one another and all evidence supports Depp's testimony of what transpired, not a shred of evidence supports the insane ramblings of Amber Turd lol!!

As far as I have heard through the trial she has referred to johnny as "Babe" and he referred to her as "kid". In her testimony and recordings.
That's the red lipstick that she testified she "was very fond of, and was the only color that would cover her split lip."
Even more interesting is there are 3 pictures of this mirror, and AMBER took them all. The biggest problem there is with there being a series of pictures is that it is a mirror, so things are reflected in it. Look at all 3, and pay attention to the things reflected in the mirror. In the background, note the bathing suit bottoms hanging from the shower, and the hose connecting the shower head to the wall (number of twists in it) inside the shower. In the foreground, note the countertop and the paint supplies that are there in one picture, missing in the next, and also how the words in read appear to have gotten a second coat between two of the pictures, as they are noticeably thicker, and more in front. Also, mat on the bathroom floor, it is in different locations in different pictures. What does this tell us about these pictures AMBER took, and her team submitted into evidence? That someone at the very least took a shower between two of the pictures, so time lapsed. The paint supplies on the countertop are gone and in the picture without the paint supplies on the counter, the red has been given a second coat to make it really pop...
No remember, Amber testified that before Dr Kipper, Nurse Debbie, and Jerry Judge and Ben King showed up in the aftermath to help find Johnny's finger tip and sedate Amber, that they were all alone in the house. So who painted the second coat, removed the paint supplies from the countertop, then took a shower, and then took more pictures? Either Amber did, or they were not alone in the house. Those are the only two possibilities that exist.
But, we all know the truth, as the red does not say Carly Simon, it says Carly Simom with an M, and is an insult towards Johnny and his kids. Not likely something Johnny would be writing himself since he is highly protective of his kids. So who would want to personally attack Johnny and his parenting, that was also in the house?

She states that the lawyer had to tell her that was a Carly Simon song. However, Johnny Depp did a cover of that song with Marilyn Manson in 2012. They state they started dating in 2012 and I find it hard to believe that she would not know this given Johnny's love of music. Her team has also brought up Marilyn Manson's name several times in this case.

The only thing you crave is a validation that your perceptions and experiences are real. BPD and NPD types often live in a world of lies, to the extent that they are unable to keep track of the lies. Also, if caught or seriously questioned on a lie they will often make up a new lie to cover, rather than simply "admit they were mistaken."

You can tell 2 different people wrote on that mirror. The Hs don't match at all, the red H the connecting line is contained between the 2 parallels, while the black H the connection goes outside of them in every instance that I can tell/make out on that mirror, and almost every instance that I've been able to find of his handwriting online as well. He also does not capitalize the letter i in the handwriting I've seen of JD either, which is a mix of mostly capitalized letters with the i always being lower case.

What confuses me more about this mirror is that in one picture, you can read the red text easily and in the other you can't because the black (paint?) handful smudges. Is Amber's photo the one we can read taken earlier in the fight night and the illegible one Ben King's the next day? If so, why would Johnny have gone back and defaced the comment he wrote himself? This seems to me that these two pictures prove Amber is lying about having nothing to do with the message. Particularly because Amber seemed to be unrealistically angry that Ben King had taken photos to share in this trial.
The thing is, this is the bedroom that she said she was barricaded in. When on audio, it is Johnny hiding in bathrooms with a missing finger tip hiding from her violence. He is an artist and used art to express his frustration and to soothe himself. She used it to mock him. He could not have written it in lipstick with her barricaded in because the only way to that bathroom was the door that would have had to be barricaded.
Incredibly Average UA-cam covers it. He points out that Johnny and his team all along say this was not a 3 days of violence situation. It all took place in a half day after he asked for a post-nup and then when she stopped being violent, he went to the hospital.

Nothing. Her answer is her answer. You just go on to the next thing as best you can. That's actually not uncommon, the client can just be a terrible witness and not remember anything no matter what prep you do. They get nervous or whatever.

Most judges would put up with Elaine’s snippy repartee. She would be shut down and warned.

I think she lied to her lawyers or she got up their and ignored what they told her to do on the stand. We have heard stories of her wanting to fire her legal team during the trial

Oil paint would absolutely bleed through lipstick. I'm an professional artist, I've worked with many mediums but mainly oils. Oil paint is usually highly pigmented especially black and they use a linseed oil base whereas lipstick is more of a cream consistency and usually made with moisturizing ingredients. Linseed is highly hydrophobic, so your analogy was spot on.
Tasya has B&W photographs out there of AH, where AH is holding a piece of paper that features writing in all caps that is eerily similar to the black lettering that is featured all over the mirrors. Based on side by side comparisons makes me think that AH might have written on the mirrors herself. Maybe Elaine was trying to get ahead of that narrative?
