WD-40 can destroy plastic over time,I used it on my clipper blades, and the plastic housing on my clippers started cracking and breaking to the point I had to order an entire clipper housing .I still love WD-40,but do not use it on plastic!
Awe.. I came here to see you spray wd40 in your gas tank lol ps I am never going to use any of these recommendations, but thank you for the upload it made me smile
Just use wd40 on what it should be use on. But for bolting on the tire is actually dangerous. The bolt can be loosen by itself due to reduced friction + tension load on the bolt itself . When tightening, make sure wipe the lubricant on the bolt.
After using WD-40 or similar, it is necessary to apply a silicone or a vasiline (test the reactions on the surface before applying) because WD-40 dries and then dries the surface, and especially in polymers it ends up getting worse.
I love how the thumbnail shows a "mystery benefit" to spraying wd40 into your gas tank. Lubricating your fuel systems from the inside out keeps your lifters from rattling and fuel injection systems at tip-top performance!
Don't do this, really 1. The WD-40 can damage the plastic of the headlights, the thin film of oil makes them look shiny but after a day or two this film is gone and your headlights look as dull as before plus you might have damaged them even more 2. This was paint from a different car. The WD-40 helps to remove this paint, but it can also damage your own clearcoat. Use soapy wooder (or soapy water as non Chris Fix viewers call it) and a micro fibre towel instead, it should get rid of the paint marks without leaving any scratches. When your paintwork is really damaged, WD-40 won't help, in this case you will need a special polish or (worst case) a paint job 3. I especially advise against this one. WD 40 (and most other cleaning agents you'll find in your garage) damages the natural protective film on your skin, leading to irritated skin, painful cracks around the knuckels as the skin dries out and infections or bacteria get trough the damaged skin easier. Always wear rubber gloves when workig on your car (oil and grease are bad for your skin as well) and if you get your Hands dirty, use good old soap and warm water. It will take a while, but it won't damage your skin 4. Again, WD 40 can damage plastic. If you really want shiny plastic parts, use silicone spray 5. NEVER apply any kind of lubricant near your brakes. If you want clean rims, use rim cleaner, a pressure washer, a brush and some elbow grease. 6. WD 40 can prevent rust to a certain degree, but on electrical connections always use a special dielectric grease. Also, when it gets hot the WD40 will eveporate and won't protect anything 7. Removing rusted bolts is what WD40 is for, so I have no problem with that. But, again, be careful not to get anything on your brakes. Also, when properly installed in the first place, you should always be able to remove the wheel bolts without any lubricant. When reinstalling the bolts, don't put to much oil on the threads (bolts need friction) and use a torque wrench. 8. The WD40 will damage and weaken the rubber. If you really need shiny tire side walls (which is really not necessary are the tires will get dirty after driving for 20 meters) use silicone spray 9. Again, dielectric grease. WD 40 leaves a thin oil film which is not conductive, using it on spark plugs can lead to misfires (although it's not too common) 10. This one actually works, WD40 helps to lubricate the parts and stops them from beeing noisy for a while. It will, however, quickly eveporate, so better use grease or a thick multi purpose lubricating oil instead.
I think silicone based wd 40 is best for plastic as well as metal parts. Or use separate silicone sprays for plastic and rubber .wd 40 for metal joints and metal surfaces. Right??
😧If someone really wants to do this (there are better products) but if you must, spray WD-40 on a micro fiber cloth first then wipe it on your rims. And avoid your brake rotors at all costs, it could cost you your life!
Guys don't ever spray your wheels with WD40.. Unless you want to know what driving over black ice and slipping all over the road feels like... That'd be a good simulation replicating that scenario pretty much
Questionable at best is accurate. Most can be dangerous (just like getting it on brake pads you mentioned already). E.g.: - Using highly flammable/explosive WD40 directly in the engine compartment might be dangerous - Using WD40 on wheel screws is wrong - for aluminum alloy wheels you need to use an exact torque where tread resistance is counted; also lubrication (even if only temporary with WD40) could lead to loosening of the screw. ... etc. All wrong.

@@MUCKFOOT399 lol anyone whose worth a fuck isn’t going to be spraying WD-40 on plugs they’re going to use dielectric grease like a professional. Using lubricant on lug nuts isn’t a good way to “overtighten” the lugs, it literally removes all of the friction (the thing that holds nuts and bolts together) and turns the lug nut into a cutting bit cutting the stud off.
@@MUCKFOOT399 It's fine for spraying in the fuse box or electrical connectors to get rid of moisture but Dow Corning's dielectric grease is the stuff to use on plug tips and caps
Perfect for dry eyes!
I always used Optrex eye drops, but found WD40 lasts twice as long...
Twice as long ??? well i only applied once and it looks like It lasts forever (typed by voice command for the legally blind )
dont forget to put fire afterwards, it makes it even better
After I cleaned my car battery terminals... I covered them with grease....not with w40 oil.
Not all what is shown in this video are safe.
Such a smart idea of spraying wd40 around the brake disc.
1:48 Don't do it this way with Disc-Brakes!😂 And furthermore there are so many better options for cleaning rims...
But if you need to use WD-40, spray it directly on the towel, not all ober the rims! It will harm the full function of Disc-Brakes...✌
*Over
It does not remove body scratches, it hides them, for a short time only
Same with the headlights.
I use it in my breakfast 🥐🍳 everyday and it helps the cereal 🥣 slide down my throat.
I bet on a horse. Then, just as a race started, I sprayed this on my TV. The horse won the next three races in a single heat.
WD-40 can destroy plastic over time,I used it on my clipper blades, and the plastic housing on my clippers started cracking and breaking to the point I had to order an entire clipper housing .I still love WD-40,but do not use it on plastic!
Fix squeaks? Thanks for the amazing info.
Put wd40 on tacos helps slide in the intestine faster so you can eat more tacos.
good one haha
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
man that is hilarious
gh m
Interesting but PLEASE DO NOT USE 😭 on wheel nut studs as this interferes with torque when tightening nuts and can lead to excessive stud strain.
"Bolting on the tire." Jesus H. Christ!
Totally DANGEROUS to use wd40 on lug nuts and or stud threads. You're risking the lug nuts loosening on you while driving because of road vibration.
i dont know about that but you will run the risk of over-torquing them
After using WD-40 or similar, it is necessary to apply a silicone or a vasiline (test the reactions on the surface before applying) because WD-40 dries and then dries the surface, and especially in polymers it ends up getting worse.
I use it as a substitute for olive oil... it works great...😁
I love how the thumbnail shows a "mystery benefit" to spraying wd40 into your gas tank. Lubricating your fuel systems from the inside out keeps your lifters from rattling and fuel injection systems at tip-top performance!
In the ears - not ONLY clears wax but lobotomizes the amygdala through the sinuses; what's not to like?
WD40 for the WIN!
Im 1 week constipated, thanks for this im at ease now
Don't do this, really
1. The WD-40 can damage the plastic of the headlights, the thin film of oil makes them look shiny but after a day or two this film is gone and your headlights look as dull as before plus you might have damaged them even more
2. This was paint from a different car. The WD-40 helps to remove this paint, but it can also damage your own clearcoat. Use soapy wooder (or soapy water as non Chris Fix viewers call it) and a micro fibre towel instead, it should get rid of the paint marks without leaving any scratches. When your paintwork is really damaged, WD-40 won't help, in this case you will need a special polish or (worst case) a paint job
3. It will take a while, but it won't damage your skin
4. Again, WD 40 can damage plastic. If you really want shiny plastic parts, use silicone spray
5. NEVER apply any kind of lubricant near your brakes. If you want clean rims, use rim cleaner, a pressure washer, a brush and some elbow grease.
6. WD 40 can prevent rust to a certain degree, but on electrical connections always use a special dielectric grease. Also, when it gets hot the WD40 will eveporate and won't protect anything
If you really need shiny tire side walls (which is really not necessary are the tires will get dirty after driving for 20 meters) use silicone spray
9. Again, dielectric grease. WD 40 leaves a thin oil film which is not conductive, using it on spark plugs can lead to misfires (although it's not too common)
10. This one actually works, WD40 helps to lubricate the parts and stops them from beeing noisy for a while. It will, however, quickly eveporate, so better use grease or a thick multi purpose lubricating oil instead.
That wasn’t a body scratch, it was only paint transfer.
More likely grease for the video.
I think silicone based wd 40 is best for plastic as well as metal parts. Or use separate silicone sprays for plastic and rubber .wd 40 for metal joints and metal surfaces. Right??
I just spray down most of my car once or twice a week. It runs great.
Wd 40 is largely redundant now there are exelent products on the market now, only a fool would spray it on wheels and tyres .
Sangat bermanfaat untuk pengetahuan dan terimakasih.. 🙏
As much as I love wd40, not sure spraying it on tires or brake rotors/calipers is a great idea... Unless you prefer to drive with no brakes or tires.
.. and if it removes grease surely the door squeak will return before long.
😧If someone really wants to do this (there are better products) but if you must, spray WD-40 on a micro fiber cloth first then wipe it on your rims. And avoid your brake rotors at all costs, it could cost you your life!
It does nothing, WD40 is not a lubricant... it evapourates within minutes.
@@Nemoticon give it a shot and let us know how that goes!
@@peadookie I already know.... the stuff has been around forever. Were you born yesterday???
1:27 that will 1, collect a lot of dust, 2 damage the plastics and rubber in the engine bay
@MagicStick zwww
Tak... pryskanie w okolicy tarcz hamulcowych to zdecydowanie genialny pomysł...
The all dust in the air gonna stick to all wd 40 you put on....car will be dirty even when is park
Do not do these harmful things to your car!
Use WD40 for what it was designed for: easing the pain of a sore throat.
This is a perfect start video on what you shouldn’t do. There’s a lot more DONT DOs that could be added.
I put it on my brake pads, makes them last longer.
😁😁😁
🤣👍
Hahaha
😩😭😭😭🤣🙌
Me too, it stops brake squeal. Funny thing is I've gained more dents in the body panels, I wonder if there's a link?! 🙄
Guys don't ever spray your wheels with WD40.. Unless you want to know what driving over black ice and slipping all over the road feels like... That'd be a good simulation replicating that scenario pretty much
I use it on my upholstery, makes sliding in and out as easy as can be!! But be careful if you hit the brakes hard you can bounce off the windshield.
DONT DO ANY OF THIS TO YOUR CAR
@Manuel Ester just buy new plugs man...dont be cheap
@Manuel Ester Dielectric grease, little packets are $1 or less.
Gracias por decir eso(thank you for let us know about it)
Thanks for let us know about it
shut up FOOL
WD 40 on wheels/rims? That's a big NO: Oil spray can contaminate the brake pads. The other tips? Questionable at best.
Questionable at best is accurate. Most can be dangerous (just like getting it on brake pads you mentioned already). E.g.:
- Using highly flammable/explosive WD40 directly in the engine compartment might be dangerous
- Using WD40 on wheel screws is wrong - for aluminum alloy wheels you need to use an exact torque where tread resistance is counted; also lubrication (even if only temporary with WD40) could lead to loosening of the screw.
...
etc.
All wrong.
@@MartinKovacik 100% true
Great advice boys share the video. 0 dislikes as well.
I don't even shower anymore just use WD-40 in all crevices..
Who else came to see what wd40 will do for gas tank?🤨
you know!!!
minimin0425 😂😂😂
Me! I feel robbed.
lol right here man
I try before fuck my car
using your tips, I sprayed my cucumber with WD-40 and I have to call doctor after 4 hours...spraying WD-40 in your nose can clear your sinus too....LOL
