Feinberg-Mngomezulu was managed incredibly well until the injury. Jordan Hendrikse only has two starts, with Sacha edging him by 1 start. The fact that they do just shows you how good Pollard is that he is still being brought up...And he been winning world cups since the under-19s...He is an absolute legend! And still got legs to go on and compete with these youngsters
Of course Pollard is our guy our GOAT. Father Time comes for us all in the end I guess and he won’t be around much longer. Question is who is our number 1 after him? Great to have so many options but hope we can figure out our 1 and then back him and let him be in that role with the others always waiting in the wings ready to take his place. Excited for the future after pollard as well but what a LEGEND! truly.
Pollard is an OG Springbok who's been through perhaps the darkest times of South African rugby alongside Eben Etzebeth, Siya Kolisi, PSDT, Faf, Willie le Roux, De Allende, Am, Kriel, etc. He and the rest of the OG pack had to build experience at a time when South African rugby was at its lowest (the age between 2015 and 2019), and that degree of trial is something the young lions have never been through. They will need years of rugby to come close to the position where Pollard is right now. Also, many of these young players coming up are playing a different style of rugby at the flyhalf position than what Pollard plays, so it might not feel the same when they start achieving some great accolades. But, to end my comment on a positive note, I will say that South Africa has an insane amount of depth in many rugby positions, and we are in good hands talent-wise.
I still think Masuku is the most complete and matured of all the newer caps, but because of age he keeps getting overlooked..I know Mannie is a superb playmaker, but maybe they could just drop him for a few and try Masuku as the older few caps player
100% agree Masuku is so good. It's so unfortunate we have so many great fly halves. It must be so hard competing for that 10 jersey. We have the best fly halves but at one time!

I think Pollard is the best right now, but Sacha will overtake him as they both get older. I think it's clear that Pollard, Libbok, Hendrikse and Sacha are gonna share the 10 duties until the next WC, and then afterwards, Sacha will probably be the number 1 choice with Libbok and Hendrikse in the mix.
This should have excluded Pollard and re-named "Next best young No 10's For The Springboks" or something. Anyway, i don't see any No 10 in any of them. Just a bunch of excellent Utility Backs 🇿🇦

Pollard is only good at kicking. Libbok is good around field only. Sacha is good at everything
