This is so awesome! Really appreciate how you guys shared not just the beautiful finished design but also the process of getting there! (love the packaging!!)
It's so refreshing to see the way you were able to navigate through the whole creative process and in the end, find the right ingredients for the solution. Truly inspiring work you guys! Much love from the Philippines 🙌
Thanks for sharing those quotes in your presentation. I’m walking away from this video thinking of I can embrace the differences to discover new ideas.
I wish I came across this account when I was at university! it would have made my life so much easier when structuring my design process for projects. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with all of us ❤️
@@DoGoodWork Will do! Ever since I came across you and your team from the future and the Adobe live stream I've been so in love with all the work you do!
Really outstanding work! Thanks for sharing those insights in your process. Great presentation and awesome concepts. Love this content and can't wait to see more.
Amazing video man!! Thank you so much for all the valuable information in it! The angles you approach to reach the final product are really awesome, it surely made me take some steps back from my train of thought to really see what i am missing. Amazing how you conduct yourself to seeing the big picture but not in a nonsense way. "Don't dig deeper, dig another whole" amazing!!!!
Indeed. In case you haven't noticed, we are intentionally providing our high-level thinking first with our video content. We will start to transition into the more technical and granular side of our process shortly. Love that you are here and enjoying our content. More to come!
How many meeting & presentations with the clients before getting to the and result and what is your aproach when the client does not like something but it's important piece of the brand or design. The way you did it with how the name was written on the botle. Loved this episode very much!
Hey LifeLight Studios! We always spell out the Scope of Work (SOW) before we begin any project. This aligns everyones expectations on the project before we begin and keeps us on-budget and on-schedule. Typically, we suggest 3-8 concepts, 3-4 rounds of edits before we apply to final mechanicals. My rule is "anything within reason". Respectful clients will adhere to the approved SOW and the bad clients will try to extend it. But we always have a signed contract as our checks and balances on the project. The client is the client. It is our job to shepherd the process the best we can, but ultimately, they make the decisions. It is there brand, not yours. I typically say, 'In my professional opinion..." and then provide them an example to illustrate my point. Then it is up to them to decide and you should all just move forward.
@@DoGoodWork Awesome. Thank you for the explanation. Been following your work for year or so...I'm glad you've open this channel. Now I can learn the secrets :) . Do you guys give coaching?
Great video interesting seeing your process and approach to the project. I would be curious to know if you show 6-8 concepts on all your project or just packaging/rebrand projects?
Hey Jeremy, depending on the project, it's complexity and the sophistication of our client we will determine what and how many concepts to present. Some clients are overwhelmed with too many options. Others crave it. We make that gauge relative to the proposal/expectations. Typically it's between 4-8.
Aaron, I have followed you for quite some time and love what you guys are doing with Farm and Do Good Work. I have been doing design on a more hobby basis, but am looking at making a career change and want to go into design. Would love to hear how you guys create your case studies of your work. I am currently working on creating some of my own and would love any tips I can get!
Oh, for sure. It is an area that we invest a lot of time an effort to constantly refine. It really is our 'sales person' , so we don't treat it lightly. Will show our process on our case studies in the coming episodes. Stay tuned.
All your information is so valuable. Thank you for sharing Aaron and your team. You guys rock! Love the Do Good Work channel. My experience with startups is they have little funding. I watched your other video about the 3Ps. Did this startup have the pricing? That's been an issue at times. I'd love to help every business, but it's not financially sustainable. What factors determine if you'll do work for a startup?
Great content as usual! Been following you guys for quite some time now since discovering you on the Adobe Live page, been a fan since the first ep I watched. I'm currently a student based in London coming to the end of my studies and I've spent the last 3 years trying to figure out what it is that truly makes me tick, I'm now fairly certain it's branding & packaging, although the issue I have is my portfolio seems very sporadic having gone down all of these different avenues to explore over the last 3 years. To build up the right type of work in my portfolio, would you guys recommend picking products from stores and just totally re-branding them for the fun of it? I'm a little stuck on how to get the correct work in my 'folio without having real work for it. Many thanks!
I remember when Better Booth did a rebrand of their packaging. And I actually stopped being a fan of their products since it’s mostly canned. But what beautiful design work!
I'd love to know what comprises a 120-page research and strategy deck. That seems like voluminous amounts of information for a Kombucha product. How would one perform and find that amount of relevant research to make up a 120-page research and strategy deck? I'm trying to wrap my mind around the process.
Hey, I just crashed into your channel. This video was very informative in a simplistic way.Besides, I understood your approach very easily. Thanks to the high level of an artist you are. Can You make a video that clarifies the time management aspects as an artist(would be good if it involves work/personal ethics side of an artist) infusing the degree or depth(less or more) that an artist has to dig in in order to break things up and come up with what the research wants. Thanks :)
