Well I think Sonnia could use some detailing to make her more scale appropriate, so that’s where some of my video is going. Also I want to kind of like build the narrative of where she’s at in that moment.
Also the Hoplite is mediocre compared to what we were thinking it would be. Bonus about it tho is that it does match the fluff in being really durable. It’s the kind of model you could put against a missile launcher and not stress as it won’t take more than one wound per shot.
It was fun, thanks for asking, Joel! I did a separate video on it, but I lost all 3 games. Here’s the minutiae. Game 1 Armory vs Morats. Atalanta was rolling hot holding down the right flank, and a Phoenix led fireteam was holding down the left flank. Round 1, no one scored the armory, but I was definitely favored to win. Round 2 was critical. His primary force was super locked down from both my big shooters, but he passed a super critical dodge roll to get a CC unit into the armory. I think the whole game hinged on this one roll, as he took out 2 of my important units holding down the armory. I then wasted my turn trying to CC this unit instead of template’ing it, which I now know would have been smarter. Game 2, Supremacy vs USA. I won the lieutenant roll and got greedy. I took 2nd deploy, and oppo took 1st turn. I wanted to go first, but I thought I’d be the only army who would. Lol oops. Oppo got super lucky on turn 1 taking out my lieutenant and Atalanta. It was crit city. It was hard for me to win from there. Last game was Power Pack vs Vanilla CA. Nothing dramatic. I was scared to advance round 1, but Ajax somehow beat like 10 dodge face to face. This match was the closest, and I think if I had played a little differently, I could maybe have won it. Oppo was being nice tho, I think 😂
@@CornerCase it really sounds like you did well. Early tournaments for newish players just are tough. There’s a lot going on. A lot to remember. That you can audit your successes and your points of improvement says a lot. We’re you playing in the Bay?
I feel your concerns about the Myrmidon not being stealthy... how is he expected to hide with all that dummy thicc cheek clappin'? I love the new thickness to be honest😁Personally (as a Haqq guy), I'm excited about the Bokhtar sculpt - she's the big beefy gal our HI choices have been missing!
I love all the figures in the box and on the way. The only bummer for me is I'm a code one kinda player and the Andromeda didn't make the C1 cut heh, that figure looks soo cool. Sadly it will take me a bit to save up for the new starter but pretty excited about it.
Half of our community here in Ukraine is excited about it. Nomad players are extremely jealous, since they are supposed to be THE rem faction and they ain't getting stuff like that.
Also super excited for Blackwind. Still waiting for my copy with Helen ( why no comment on her?) I am just finishing core of my Ramah so I am going smoothly to hassasins and later to vanilla. But also super excited for SP. Aleph always was my second faction and this ancient heroes vibes amuses me more than it should. I am re-reading Illiad in the meantime :D As for new models: I think that position for Makhai is unfortunate. It should put more emphasis on its head as it is unique feature and with both hand on gun I feel that it is somewhat obscured. As for Agamemnon the only problem I see is that I don't feel any Greek design elements. I feel that this is important and can be done fantastic ( like the helmets of thorakitai which looks definitely ancient Greek but at the same time modern) so this is a bit disappointing. Rest is fantastic and I can't wait to start painting!

I like the end result design, but the pose doesn’t do it justice. I found images of the Agamemnon design process, and through them, you can see how the Greek helmet tie-in was slowly refined out of the final design. Bummer, but good catch on your part. I just wish I had a good reason to take Kites except for filler lol.
Yo, Total Immunity on native hacking -3 on an HI really cannot be discounted. This guy can risk fights against gatekeeper snipers and missile defense shots that other HI simply would be too scared to even try to contest
Everything looks awsome ,i admit. But im going to say as far as the code one nomads i was disappointed. I like it but i really don't love it. But some of the new units they bring up in raveneye i do think will be awsome and that makes me hopeful.
Im super excited for Blackwind the Haqq stuff has me really excited especially the Bokhtar. But I will say im less excited for the Beyond stuff the Haqq models in there arent grabbing my interest the way the stuff in the core set did.
