Good to know diary of a ceo is now just a payola podcast. Everything you've said about money, success & happiness & then you don't ask a single question about the ethics of buy now pay later or the research that shows Klarna etc are normalising debt for teenagers? Absolutely wild, Steven. I'm sure you and Sebastian have a deeply interrogated rationale that you kept to yourselves - Sebastian even gave you bait to talk about intentions, but you chose to lean into the part of your brand where the guest tells a sad story about themselves... Success is dehumanising. So is debt.
Good episode. I think you connect better with tech ceos
@@savelikeabear
..
@@savelikeabear don’t you think we should first talk about parents responsibility to educate their children financially? And how about how parents should be there for them instead of letting them being raised by a shallow culture of comparison, likes and trends?
Just saying…
"Rules are not a reason for not thinking for yourself"
One of the best quotes from this podcast!
🙌🏽
Steven has the ability to get guests we didn’t know we needed… great podcast as usual 👍🏽 🙌🏾
Thanks Sam 🙌🏽
Exactly he brings on intresting people always a different story and lesson 💯
I was just going to comment this, Steven has the ability to make me listen for an hour to someone and something I have no interest in. How does he have us so hooked!
@@chelseahargrave7315 yeah considering there millonaries i feel like i can relate which motivates me
@@jhardworkpaysoff474 yeah really nice normal people! Love it
“When life is handed to you on a plate you will never understand how the food was cooked”
I love this
Where he said , he stoped saying that money doesn’t make you happy ….. first time I have heard someone say that on this podcast . Because it is true , thou no , the money as an object will not make you happy , but , being able to afford basic everyday needs and perhaps a vacation here and there ,is so important for our mental health . We live in a world , where most of us , if we want to eat , we need money , if we want to have a roof over our head , heating , water to wash ourselves and our clothes , we need money .
So saying money isn’t important is a straight up lie . It’s not important when you have it , it is so important when you don’t .
Thanks Aleksandra it’s an interesting point
@@TheDiaryOfACEO Thank you for having guests like this . Motivating me to just do .
Well done
He is not trying to be happy by his money, he’s trying to improve the world
This was a blessing of an interview. Not only did he expounded on what he been through but he always thought about how to derive solutions and not focus on the situation. Its a mindset and a blessing to see many obstacles in life but still think and focus on positive outcomes.
It has without a doubt become the favourite part of my week, to get home from work, get in my home gym and have a workout whilst listening to the podcast! I totally zone out of real life for an hour whilst learning from incredibly diverse and inspiring guests’ thanks Steve, another great episode ☺️👍🏼
Nice humble brag there.
This is me (without the home gym though 🤣), only 19, home gym pending by 25!
Absolutely amazing podcast! Genuinely can’t have a bad Monday knowing an episode will be coming out.
I literally run my 5K quicker on a Monday morning so I can get home faster and listen to this podcast while getting started with my workday :-) Thank you again! Sebastian is super authentic and a pleasure to listen to.
Yes Rachael! 👊🏽
Why not wait until the podcast is out and then listen to it ON your run? Could probably do 10k during this one 😉
@@KidKarnage06 i tried something like this but running is like forced meditation, youll listen to stuff but youll just hear it and not understand this happens with human voices not music
Wow, this podcast is truly amazing. Discovered it this weekend and I have listened to multiple life-changing episodes. Thanks Steve and to your amazing guests who have shown such authenticity and vulnerability.
This one of the most under-viewed interviews I've seen on this channel, yet so super informative. I'm an engineer myself in a very senior role, but this is the path I want to envisage. I have all these crazy ideas around AI, but never know where to put them, who to put them in front, or even the motivation. Motivation is key.
The most interesting point was about communication. Communication is the success of businesses. When you start fragmenting communication amongst a tree of key members and the developers, technical specifications become very diluted in expectations vs. reality. You have to listen for red flags, and assume everything is a red flag until it isn't. Engineering is such a complex subject that we don't expect anyone above to understand, but having people that don't understand sit with you and resolve issues is a huge part of expectation vs. reality and the empathy needed to objectively make critical decisions.
It's knowing what good looks like, and then going "I know this is good" - you don't need to be an engineer to understand the workflow of an engineer, and why engineers are huge, huge part of the success.
Steven I love how you get the best from whoever you interview in such a calm conversational manner. My heart went out to your guest's dilemma with his father and challenges for him and his family after moving from Poland to a new country. Really makes you think. I wish him and his family ongoing success. As fo never getting stressed... Wow... would love to achieve that... 🙏
Thank you for this podcast. Never knew that such a great person has been behind Klarna. Glad to be their customer.
Absolutely, bar none, the best channel on UA-cam for business....I truly hope that not too many people find it! Invaluable
I find myself coming back to this conversation.
One of my favourite interviews so far. I’m in the process of launch a new tech company with zero tech experience so it was so reassuring to me to hear Sebastian go through the same struggles with CTO’s and devs. Also to hear him question the same things that have been troubling me about the time things take to code, the teams passion for the project etc. Thank you for this one Steven. One of my life’s goals is to to be interviewed by your on this podcast with the next 3 years. Amazing work 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thank you to all involved, for an incredible podcast 🤗 Sebastian, thank you for sharing your journey and inspiring so many people 🤗
incredible interview! I planned on watching just the first few mins but couldn't stop :-) A lot of respect to Sebastian for what he accomplished but also how humble he remained in the process.
Thank you so much to Sebastian for sharing his personal story about his father. Going through something similar with my brother for many years who is dependant on alcohol, so I listening to Sebastian's perspective really resonates with me.
Such a humble, self aware, great all-round person, i could listen to him for hours. Thanks Steven !
One of my favourite chats so far. What a inspiring and great gentleman.
Thank you for this episode! That was absolutely amazing!
as someone who's father has passed away due to alcoholism recently this was really relatable thank you for being so open Sebastian

Excellent interview and very engaging. I have learnt a lot over the past few months watching and listening to these interviews 👍
Thank you so much for making this podcast Steven, it's just so insightful and inspiring to learn about entrepreneurship and business from these people. Every interview I watch there is something impactful that I can take and apply in my life rightaway.

Another outstanding share! Thank you
I'm not sure if you'll see this but I appreciate that you actually talk/ask about money with them.
What a great guy, he deserves all the continued success. Great Postcast.
Fabulous conversation.
Brilliant interview!
what a really interesting conversation - such a great story to be told - so much knowledge in this ! love it
The discussion and points made about solving/fixing pain problems within the biz, I totally can relate. The excitement of it for me, it goes to my own abilitiy to work under pressure, I typically do well and even enjoy it. Which is not saying I want problems, but more about seeing them hopefully before they get worse, but then solving it in realtime. Lastly, is trying to make sure it doesnt happpen again, is something I think biz. fail to finish problem solving with.
Best one so far I think!
Very insightful. Thank you.
Such an inspiring story ♥️
👍🤩💝Oh wow, Sebastian is truly delightful. It was wonderful to listen to his story. I was emotionally moved when he started talking about his dad.
💡😭@1:06:23 - 1:07:08 you never know when you literally might be someone’s last hope. I have learned in life that if you can help someone, help them. I’m sure that Sebastian is haunted by not taking his dad’s calls that day. In the big scope of things, helping his dad monetary with his apartment was such a small small thing he could have done for his dad compared to all of the money that he himself had/has. I this this from my own life experiences. I pray he and anyone else / all of us living with this type of regret will heal.😭🙏💝
I hear you. Totally.

The best way to start my week 🚀
Yes Christian 🙌🏽
Reshared on my LinkedIn profile. Such an amazing interview. Tiny bit proud to see my fellow Pole succeeding at that scale!
Sebastian is really a great roll models for us entrepreneurs here in Sweden, Stockholm.
Another great podcast as are all of them.
Interesting podcast. On the topic of WFH - I think getting the right balance of days at home/in office creates the perfect working environment. I currently WFH 2/3 days a week and have been able to pursue my hobbies more with the 2.5 hours of commuting saved and actually begun monetising one of my hobbies, I’ve been able to stay on track with the gym and go on daily walks during my lunch break. All of this has led to more productivity in my work. The days in the office are also great as the mention of culture and social aspect is especially important.
Another brilliant episode. Much appreciated dose of motivation and inspiration to start a week. Keep up good work Steven 👍

insane podcast, i subscribed
Love what you are doing!! Thank you!!! 💜🎉🙌🏻
This was an amazing interview, it's sometimes lonely as an immigrant battling these "issues".
Such a beautiful story ❤
Amazing very good!
Wish Sebastian and Klarna that all go well with Klarna and Pricerunner!
His thoughts on perspective were great.

proud to be swedish, you are an inspiration to all swedes
This Podcast Series is a Mini MBA 🙌
Looking forward to listening to this..
The into 45 Billion. Wow
this video should have millions of views.. one day it will.
This interview showed the basic and fundamental truth about humanity. Black, white, or purple, we all have a story. As long as we keep moving there will always be a door somewhere. My whole family story revolves around immigration. From aunts to uncles to cousins to grandparents. It’s refreshing to hear someone ( white cis man ) speak about the adverse effects of immigration. Not only it has made him resilient but also vulnerable and kind. Great testimonial of perseverance.
And his tips on management are precious too.
Mandate vs suggest; or how to build a culture where people are proactive, responsible and content.
Sweden to the world: You're welcome, here's yet another revolutionary invention/company from our country
Inspirational 🎉
Look at that like to dislike ratio! What a guy! Loving your content Steven keep it up
I really enjoyed this conversation. As a developer I found Sebastian’s debacle with the original developers fascinating and trying to see it from both perspectives. While Sebastian questioned many of the potential partners motivations and potential which is definitely fair, I’ve learned that it’s too easy to assume that everyone around you will interact with the thing you love with the same zeal and motivations as you. As an owner you may have to really work to understand peoples motivations and play into it. Anyway a wonderful conversation and podcast. Thank you Sebastian and Steven
This is just an example of a guy starting a company without any clue of the tech itself.
And i think that is bad. Always.
Do something you have no idea of and people can fool you all day long.
He just got lucky.
I was mind blown by your guest’s honesty. I am sorry for his loss. Great conversation and always a pleasure to start a week with your podcast.
Thank you 🙏🏽
This guys had a rough 6 months - Klarna’s value has been slashed by redundancies and uncertainty from most recent funding round.
$46bn to $7bn - ouch.
Fingers crossed they turn it around. Would be nice to see another BNPL service provider excel though - gotta love the underdog.
Hahaha, this is the authentic balance of light and pain - the 13-year-old business plan made me LOL.
Made me think of little Tammi that sold a HUGE amount of raffle tickets in our South African neighbourhood.
I can't even deal with this wonderful story. I'm going to have to listen to this a few times 🙏🏼
Very inspirational. I hope he get to leave something for his kids.
Would love to see Ben Francis on the show he is such an inspiration.
and great podcast as usual.
I found this channel with the Dame Dash interview. The guest was cool. This platform was excellent. I subscribed and been binge watching. Keep it bro!
$46bn lord have mercy, these valuations are crazy. Congratulations any how.

I use Klarna all the time. Love it. It means I don't have to worry about stumping up a huge amount of money in one time
Hi Steven, and The Diary Of A CEO - hope you're all doing well!
I would like to ask - one day could you interview Martin Lewis? He's the most popular financial money saving entrepreneurs around. I would love to hear his story - incredible person on finances, and how he speaks.... incredible!
Many thanks.
P.S. I've been recently watching these videos to gives me ideas, and to get my interest on something else in life rather than football constantly.
