The Real is one of my personal favorite songs. The song is about remaining humble and kind no matter what happens. It uses traditional Korean instruments and the lyrics play off of several Korean proverbs. During the talking parts, they use their own regional dialects. They closed their shows with The Real on the last tour and every performance was different, but a complete party. The final dance circle (which is also traditional Korean in the version they did at Coachella) is often used to give spoilers to Atiny about new comebacks or things that are about to happen. The MV is roughly based on a Korean movie called Volcano High. There is a LOT of hidden meaning in the MV… enough where there are webpages detailing the hidden eggs. Some basics… -The book Mingi is reading is an Ethics book. -Each of the ‘school clubs’ symbolize different values. (Some written on the walls behind them in English) -The burning bat has ‘Passion’ written on it. -Hongjoong’s fan says Humility. -When it shows the magazine pan… the gesture they are all making with the finger under their nose symbolizes humility. -The book towards the end say something like Ethics… Revised Edition. -Yeosang’s character is a symbol of peace… hence the white birds (which you often see with his character in MVs such as Not Okay and Inception… That is explained in the Zero Fever Diary Film that came out with Inception).
the real perfomances are so fun they always do a dance circle towards the ends and its always different members dancing in it.. there are really funny ones also
Yay 4 more songs to Coachella!!! Did you plan to watch both weeks or just 1 of them? If you just watch 1, I recommend the performance in week 2, cause the camera work was much better.
Ateez breaks down the meaning of the video in this Allure interview as well as other MVs: ua-cam.com/video/iQ9M_o7AJsk/v-deo.html But to summarize, Mingi is a new student and all the other clubs are fighting over him. Yeosang is the toughest guy in the school (that's the twist) and he basically tells them all to just chill and have fun lol.
Prowess just means, basically, how good you are at something. The Real is still one of my absolute favorite songs and MVs. I have no idea how many times I've watched it and I still find new things in it and I still love it to bits. Django is another favorite. When you watch Coachella (also I agree, watch the 2nd week), they do Django and the choreo/concept is just wonderful.
@@LenaBeeReacts I fully intend to! I enjoyed it both weeks of Coachella, and a full rewatch of week 1 (besides the awful camera work). My internet just cut out briefly during week 2, so I missed the ver tail end of one song and the beginning of the next.
I advise you to watch the second week of Coachella, ateez performed even better and more confidently than in the first week
and there is also a performance of guerrilla in high quality on the official channel of coachella :)
Also the camera work was MUCH better the second weekend!

Django is an outlaw in the movie, a very crazy character. It’s a very good movie.
Am not a big movie watcher but maybe I should give this one a watch.. 🤔
When they performed The Real at Kingdom, Mingi was in a hiatus. So the MV is like his comeback. 💜

Haha thank you for the definition! 💜😁 I have a coachella video lined up and I was told that it's definitely week 2. So that's great 👏
@@LenaBeeReacts I am looking forward to hearing what you think of the Coachella performance. I need to rewatch week two when I have the time.
You could just rewatch it along with me whenever I react to it 😏😁💜
