Couldn't agree more ! I just saw Brian,Al,Blondie and the band last month, they upgraded our seats to about 3 rows from the stage... I think it's Brian's last tour.. at least it should be, he's not too well I think, he had a walker and escort and didn't play his piano at all but he did sing very well all things considered. And it was an honor to see my favorite artist of all time and he played like 3 outta my top 5 songs. I took my mom for her bday, my dad named me after Brian and my mom is in her early 70s so she has been a fan for over 50 yrs... A night I'll always treasure.
Call me crazy, but I think this song gets overlooked by people as it has such a feel good quality and rollicking beat, yet you can't appreciate how insanely complex a song it is until someone like you plays it and you think "Geez! This guy could use an extra set of hands and a second keyboard!". Excellent!
Thank you so much! And I agree,.I have no idea why more people don't know this song. Also, yes, when I play this music, I often find myself wishing I had a few more limbs. LOL
Awesome. I was looking for a video on this, all I could find were multiple weird tutorials playing the vocal melody with the right hand, like some sort of weird 1990s video game midi soundtrack. Thanks for posting a proper version!
Every now and then I tune into listening to the beach boys and this song along with Good Vibrations and God only knows always hits the soul just in the most awesome wave. I was also hoping to find someone who knew how to play the piano part the way brian wrote it and it sounds just about right to me so I am happy this video exists, thank you.

What a lovely thing for you to say! Thanks so much. I don't dare dream to ever be heard by Brian, but I have to admit it would be pretty wonderful. I'm just a guy with a decent ear and a few years of piano lessons, trying to figure out and play what I hear.
Thanks, lol. I don't have a fancy or high-tech setup, so usually I have to push record on my phone, push play either on my computer or iPad, and then rush to sit down at the keyboard before the track starts in order to play along with the correct timing and the proper tempo. Depending on the track, that usually gives me only about a second or less to park myself and time the start of the track just right. This can often mean a bunch of takes or attempts where the timing of the start isn't quite right. But thanks for being impressed.
Awesome! I don’t know if it was intended but the fade section you play has a good vibrations feel to it. I like it. Also appreciate how you leave some room for imagination for the listener. Keep going!
Thanks so much! Well, I just try to play what I hear as close as I can. If you hear Good Vibrations in the outro, that likely means (I hope) that it was there in the original! As you can imagine, it's always a balancing act between playing all the details and leaving some space in the sound. So glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome job Devin! You are really talented! This is a tough song with a busy baseline! Love your haunting 2nd bridge mimicking the accordions. All of interweaving layers (bassline, orchestra, Brian, beach boys background) revealed Brian's brilliance on composing and how the final product made that plush feel good sound (he outdid spector). Hey I know you have done "dont talk" before but have you heard his piano demo version of it? I love it so much but cant figure out how to play it! I would love if you could do another video on that song! Thanks and love your videos! (All the smile stuff is great too!) God bless!
Hi, and thanks so much!! What great compliments, and I definitely agree with all you have said about Brian in this track. Yes, I have heard Brian's piano demo of "Don't Talk", but I never played it. One of these days I may yet take a crack at it, but it's also a fairly deep cut. We'll see what I manage to get to.
WOW, this is amazing! Honestly one of the best piano covers i've ever seen! Hey, and can you do All I Wanna Do? :) I would REALLY appreciate to see that song
@@seerup101 Devin my friend, you're so very right. And when the lovely man is gone, we can still send him up our prayers in the form of music. Thank you for this channel. I am so very glad I came across it earlier this year.
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older? Then we wouldn't have to wait so long And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong? You know it's gonna make it that much better When we can say goodnight and stay together Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up In the morning when the day is new? And after having spent the day together Hold each other close the whole night through Happy times together we've been spending I wish that every kiss was never ending Oh, wouldn't it be nice? Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray It might come true Baby, then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do Oh, we could be married (oh, we could be married) And then we'd be happy (and then we'd be happy) Oh, wouldn't it be nice? You know it seems the more we talk about it It only makes it worse to live without it But let's talk about it Oh, wouldn't it be nice? Goodnight, my baby Sleep tight, my baby Goodnight, my baby Sleep tight, my baby
Brians chord changes and progressions were stunning
Very true, sir!
While that is very true, I'm more fascinated with the otherworldly bass line in this song... wow!!!

Fantastic!
Thanks!
Awesome rendition! This is one of my personal favorites
Thank you! It just doesn't get better than Pet Sounds, does it?
@@seerup101 Exactly. The only contender in the Beach Boys catalog would be SMiLE
Can't argue with you there, and wouldn't want to!
Amazing. Very difficult to do the bass at the same time like that. Especially when rhythm changes just before outro. Loved it.
Thanks! This was a tough one to get together.
perfect tempo, and great harmonies as usual, greetings!
Many thanks!
