I honestly didn't even know how the nclex worked and I'm glad I didn't because it would have made me more nervous.. The only thing I knew was that if it shut off at 75, you did really good and totally forgot that it could mean you did really bad. I took my test last Wednesday and it shut off at 75 and all my nursing friends were congratulating me and then I looked it up and then remembered it could be a bad sign too. I paid the extra 8 bucks on Friday to see if I passed and I did! To tell you the truth I didn't use a strategy, except for ABC on one question, but for everything else I went with my instincts/knowledge.

So based on what I understood u just need to be above the baseline on item 75 to pass the exam. If the wrong answers negates the correct answers, basically u only need 38 correct responses vs 37 mistakes to have a +1 balance that will put u above the baseline. Am I correct?

Thank you for this video. It is helpful. What if you get a lot of near the passing standards in your nclex report. What does that mean? Can you explain about near the passing standards, above the passing standards and below the passing standards as well.

So pretty much if your test stops at a minimum it means you started off strong? Mines shut off at 85 questions

A question, what exact kind of questions we mostly are gonna get in the first 10 questions so we focus on it to stay above the passing line? are they just basic knowledge, specific client's needs mostly seen in the first 10 questions?

No partial credits :( I know it is unfair but that is the way it is, but if you use my T/F strategy, you will kick ass with every single SATA question

I passed the NCLEX last summer in 75. We had to agree not to share anything specific about the exam. You had people share specifics with you? That's not fidelity.
That's what I was thinking too! It even specifically says on the NCSBN that it is strictly prohibited, and you can even lose your license for it. So the fact that Alpha made a whole book about what was on previous NCLEXs, I don't know........
True, but we keep our students confidentiality and their privacy. I was curious though, you passed but still watching NCLEX videos!!!! huh?
@@Alphaslice I was watching other nursing videos and this came up in my feed. Working on my RN to BSN, currently. Apparently, UA-cam analytics think that watching nursing assessment videos = need to see NCLEX vids. Since I am interested in helping my friends pass the NCLEX, I gave it a watch. I give generic advice, though. And I don't think we can emphasize that safety is huge on the exam and it trumps everything else. There are times when a usually low priority task is more important to patient safety than other tasks. You have to engage your brain on every question. I tell people to focus more on critical thinking than memorization. It's important to know some critical values, but it's more important to know how to prioritize and to use the nursing process.
I'd have to agree with this....Give all the strategies you can for a future nurse but taking pictures and what not and selling them isn't right. This could potentially screw over everyone that is becoming a nurse, honest or not! They are extremely strict on exam day and now I can understand why.
