First time I heard this album was in 88, along with King Diamond "Them" on the old Head Bangers Ball, anyone remember that? Anyway, I was Blown Away to say the least. So now I'm 61 and still whipping me Hair Around to the Grinding riffs and will be Rockin till I draw my last breath! Loved, loved, LOVED that show and Liquid Television too... I remember getting the first cablecast from MTV, I watched that shit... The Buggles, Video Killed the Radio Star... I was 7 years old! The Real World show broke MTV as a source of music. Remember the VH1 ridicule? Then they took over as the music channel... Oh man, "Closet Classics"... I loved it while it lasted.

I was supposed to be doing my homework, but for about 2 hours I just kept rewinding it and listening to it over and over again. I don't remember ever feeling that addicted to a song and it was all that I could think about the next day at school.

The first speed/thrash metal album I ever purchased was in 1987, The Legacy, by Testament. Been a huge fan every since. I was into the glam metal before, Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, and the like. I was actually going to the record shop that day to by Frehley's Comet by Ace Frehley former guitarist of Kiss. I got that, but I had a cousin that let me hear some of his Venom album and something else he had.......I loved the distortion and such, but still leaned on my glam background ( I wanted to be in a band) . But when I finally opened that album The Legacy..........that was it!! And as far as that so called big four stuff.......I love Testament!! Actually I really think I was the first black Testament fan!

Testament is now and always has been a top shelf recipe for ultimate thrash , the composition and melody combined with lyrics that actually say something are above and beyond the normal screaming chaos of other bands of their time .

After listening to their live in london 2005 in boucle, every single day, at maximum volume, you remember why they're in the big 6, not big 4 in this case. I've been hammering this sayin for a while - exodus, metal church. a thrash attack for a heart attack. ☠. The dragonlord in 2001 was sky gift and proof only a few talented men could achieve. One of the most underrated HEAVY METAL bands. I believe they should be in the big 4 instead of Anthrax. I think Metallica, Slayer,Megadeath,and Testament. This Album is badass from beginning to end every song is great. You don't see that anymore. One of my Top 5 Heavy Metal albums of all time
