The bike in the video is a 2003 Honda Valkyrie Tourer
Thanks to all my subscribers out there!
Stay tuned tons of content coming !
I have a ‘97 with 105k miles. Carbs never been touched.
Thanks for watching and subscribe. Thats incredible, as long as they are stored properly they last a long time
@@Drive315 you are not meant to store them... ride them!
Same here. Scary that so much can go wrong though. Guess we are loved by the motorcycle Gods.
Does the Valkyrie require premium fuel? Thx
Thanks for watching and subscribe! No it runs great on regular
In US it runs on 87 octane
Just don’t use the 85 ethanol
Appreciate this video!
Thanks for the video... Yet, you never got into anything regarding the carburetors.
Thanks for sharing. Nice Valk. What kind of camera did you use on your ride?
Thanks for watching and subscribe! I use a gopro hero 6 and a insta360 one x2 for my 360 videos when i ride
If anyone knows of a better bike than a Valkyrie, let me know. I've been riding for 45 years now and haven't found one yet.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Yeah i loved my valkyrie but sold it because at the time i had 6 motorcycles, also I didn’t want to have to do the carb maintenance if i kept it too long (im not the best with that sort of thing)
Try Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 Adventure Bike. May surprise you !
@@murraycarton3792 Nice, but a completely different animal. It's a motorcycle, while the Valkyrie is an experience.
@@StevenRogers-hw9dj- so far I have not heard anything about a better bike than Valkyrie 😉
Perhaps Gold Wing 😃?
I have 97 Valkyrie 😃 if that makes me an expert 🤣
@@mar1video Gold Wings are nice, but they're soulless appliances compared to the Valk, and the 1520 Wings had WAY less power and torque.
hello
I am a man in his mid-50s living in Korea.
I own a valkiry 2000 model.
However, one of the six bent parts attached to the exterior of the engine cracked.
I want to buy new parts. Where can I buy them?
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Id look on ebay
Revzilla got some parts.
Shipping might be expensive.
Valkyrie is also popular in Europe, so you can get some replacements parts
Very nice bike. I have a '98 just like it that I had converted to a trike. With 8 degree raked triple trees it rides like a cadillac. It sat for a couple of months before I could get it triked. When I got it back the low speed circuits on the carbs were plugged. I live in the midwest and I suspect the previous owner may have used gas with alcohol, that stuff is no bueno on carburated engines. It cost $1100 to rebuild the carbs, fuel rail and petcock as well as vacuum lines. These are great engines, but you have to realize they are old. In retrospect I should have ran some premium gas and fuel stabilizer through it when I got it.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! I have 4 more motorcycles
VERY Nice Bike Man! What You have is a "Standard" that someone has put hard bags and bag guard on. Look at the red reflector on the side of the rear fender...that came on the standard only. Tourers came with hard bags and don't have that. It is still just as nice as any Valkyrie.... It is possible that someone replaced the rear fender with a standard fender but most likely they added the bags. Also if a set of hard bags came from an Interstate the lids will completely detach from the base and hang by wires. The tourer bag lids do not...they simply hinge up and stay connected. Hope this helps all my VALKYRIE Brothers and Sisters out there....RIDE SAFE! ;0)
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Yes another viewer “vancityvalkyrie” told me that. He has a valkryie too. I just assumed its a touring model because it seems so solid and looks like its from the factory. I sold mine and no longer own it, i do have 3 other bikes now. Check out my channel!
I have taken the carbs off on my 02 magna and bigger jets things wicked with bigger jets bout to get a valkyrie here soon
Thanks for watching and subscribe! For some reason i dont think the 6 carb system doesn’t require frequent cleaning, but even if it does so be it. Well worth it for this high quality of a bike
Try riding without that plough of a windshield once. Transforms the ride. Just sayin'.
With that windshield you like riding on a sofa and watching TV. Just no room to put you remote control down 🤪
Thank you for another valk video I learn about it every time you post
Thanks for watching! More videos to come
Nice video as always. Just curious… did you ever check the VIN? It is set up as a Tourer model, but the reflectors on the back fender make me think it’s a Standard model originally and the previous owner got the saddlebags and windshield installed. If you’re interested in more of the history of the Valkyrie and all the different models, check out a book called “The Honda Valkyrie” by Peter Rakestrow. Keep those Valk videos coming, love it! 🤝
Thanks for watching! I remember you said that before, and you are correct… but i still like to call it the tourer model because its 99.999% the same thing except for those reflectors. All genuine honda parts that would come anyway
@@Drive315 I forgot that I asked before. My VIN says it's an Interstate, but was completely rebuilt to a Tourer model. If it looks like a Tourer, it is a Tourer ;-)
the mothership 🫶
Jeys, my dude, jets and fine tunning.
Thanks for watching and subscribe!
What sort of peg setup do you have? My feet are cramped on my Valk.
I believe it was the stock pegs, with aftermarket highway pegs. I bought it just like that
@@Drive315 Thanks. I really need some forward pegs and controls. May have to build some.
I absolutely love your bike. I think its the nicest edition of this model! Would love to find one one like this!
Sounds like the slow speed jets need cleaning
love it! kinda need one now..........
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Definitely a hell of a bike!
I need those handlebars! For my 1800
Are u 4 sale Oct . 2023
Best addition on your bike would be the Ultimate seat. Stock seat hurts ya butt.
