I lost my dog Sam, for 6 months. He was my best friend when I was a kid... He chased a flock of birds, and he never came back. 6 months later a neighbor of ours saw Sam at a junk yard . I came home from school and there was Sam smiling at me waiting at the top of the stairs.. he was so excited to see me, and It was one of the happiest days of my life. I sure did miss him and he passed when he was 17 years old. I miss him with my whole heart 23 years later.

Lester, You mentioned a while back that you were going to change your phone number. If you did, did you update the chip company and give them your new number? I have worked with lost/found pet groups, and more times than I care to think about, we find dogs with microchips, but the phone number is out of date. There’s no way to contact the owner. If that is the case, call them to update it. If you don’t remember which company it was, contact your vet. They should have that information.
@ no they just pop up whenever. Generally, if he’s at JL North he’ll do it in the morning when he after he gets up if he’s at JL South he will sometimes go in the morning with coffee with Jami. The other time he goes live is sometimes around one Eastern time when he goes to the JL North. So it’s. Anyone’s guess

Sometimes they stay close but still can't find their way home and sometimes I'm shocked how far the can run and walk in the wrong direction. Hey Lester, watching on catchup, I wanted to say that these fireworks are a huge problem. I once had a Guinea Pig who died of terror on a firework night. Dreadful for the poor animals.

My company who chipped my nana said to contact them if she was lost because they would contact all the vets and rescues around the area where she was lost. So it is sensible to contact them.
12:31 when you get Sadie back, I recommend getting “Tractive GPS” pet tracker or similar. It tracks your pet in the community if they run off. You’ll know right where she went.
Sad to think that you probably lost her the same way that you found her. She must have left her last home for the same reason. I believe you will get her back. I’ve picked up 2 dogs before and took them in to be scanned and found their owners. #PrayersforSadiesreturn
And PetCo and Pet Smart also have scanners for chips. When ppl can’t go to a vet for scan, esp w/e’s when closed, you can take to those places for scan!
@ Perhaps you should relisten to what Lester said. No, he doesn’t have a GPS tracking collar on Sadie, in fact there is no collar at all. Lester was afraid the longhorns might get a horn under the collar. What he said was “if someone found Sadie, he hoped they would take her to a “vet” to scan for microchip”. My response was that not only vets have scanners, but Pet Smart & PetCo do, as well as most rescue sanctuaries. If vets are closed, there are other options to scan for microchip. Lester probably wishes he had a GPS on Sadie now, but I understand that wasn’t safe in field with the cows. I pray she comes home.

If someone find her and takes her to a vet or a pet smart, the have a special scanner, that when you scan the chip, Lester's contact information shows up and the are listed as an owner, so if she is found the finder can contact Lester.

Sad to think that you probably lost her the same way that you found her. She must have left her last home for the same reason. I believe you will get her back. I’ve picked up 2 dogs before and took them in to be scanned and found their owners. #PrayersforSadiesreturn

And PetCo and Pet Smart also have scanners for chips. When ppl can’t go to a vet for scan, esp w/e’s when closed, you can take to those places for scan!

@ Perhaps you should relisten to what Lester said. No, he doesn’t have a GPS tracking collar on Sadie, in fact there is no collar at all. Lester was afraid the longhorns might get a horn under the collar. What he said was “if someone found Sadie, he hoped they would take her to a “vet” to scan for microchip”. My response was that not only vets have scanners, but Pet Smart & PetCo do, as well as most rescue sanctuaries. If vets are closed, there are other options to scan for microchip. Lester probably wishes he had a GPS on Sadie now, but I understand that wasn’t safe in field with the cows. I pray she comes home.
@@PattyBurns-c1d A microchip is like a ID card for dogs that is placed under the skin. If someone find her and takes her to a vet or a pet smart, the have a special scanner, that when you scan the chip, Lester's contact information shows up and the are listed as an owner, so if she is found the finder can contact Lester.

Lester, I have friends that used Stem Cell Therapy for their shoulder and knee.. it worked. Houston may have a place to go. Around here they'll come to your home and do it. My friend had it done to her back also
