Hey bud, just found your channel this week and I'm digging the videos. You should try hooking the inverter up to your truck and trying the compressor again. The charging system on the truck will give you about 14 volts and will let the inverter draw the 65+ Amps it needs to start it without the low voltage protection cutting out.
Good idea. I have a 5 year old no name 1000w inverter mounted up on the board just above desk that normally runs the compressor. But ill try a better source cheers for watching
@@Oneupthesleevecustoms I'm thinking the battery you have it connected to was too close to the 11.9v cut out. Also reading the manual for this inverter, it's rated at 900w with peak of 1000w. Found your video as someone on a forum I'm in is having similar problems with theirs. Do you know if there is an internal fuse in these? Thanks
They have the fuses under a cover near the terminals maybe from memeory

It ended up been installed and travelled all over the country never heard a issue

Supercheap has these on clearance. I thinking about buying one but this video hasn't cleared anything up about there quality and reliability. Was this inverter any good. Only $145 at SCA
Can't remember if I stated it but I installed it for a customer, I tested it for a few cycles of the battery's and it seemed quiet Good.
Keep in mind it is only 1000w,
The kings 4x4 1500 watts are almost always $159 and I rate the 3000w highly. It will start an air compressor.
What are you planning on running with it ?
today its only $60. The 1500W is only $84. 30/3/2024

I purchased a 600w inverter. Same company...out if the box the AC sockets were super loose. Like your plugs had zero grip. Not sure what the issue is. Taking it back to Supercheap tomorrow.
Sounds pretty poorly made. These seemed fine not sure if its still.a going thing but worked great during testing
@@Oneupthesleevecustoms yeah maybe I was just unlucky. But it still has me puzzled how loose it is out of the box. Like theres something I'm missing. But I don't see any way to tighten it. Like there are no internals beyond the plastic casing to grip the plug.
Sounds like the backing of the socket fell away in transit. Maybe not screwed together

Will continue to test with some extra meters in place and see whats going on
where's the promised followup video? what about oscilloscope to test if its actually pure sine wave or not??
Customer took van had to leave state had no time to retest you can see it installed in one of my van videos on my camper van rv playlist
