@zouga When I was 12 my friend let me listen to darude sandstorm, first time I ever heard any electronica at all and instantly was hooked to the synthesizers and beat, I then went to bar harbor Maine the next summer and went into a music shop and accidentally asked for dj dara, thinking darude was the same person. turns out dj dara was a drum n bass dj, playing all kinds of old school stuff. i started break dancing and making music after that, and it changed my life for the better.

High Contrast was on fire in the early to mid 00's. His Essential Mix in 2003 is still one of the best.
That essential mix is easily at the top of my list for DnB. Nothing but classics that still sound fresh to this day.
