He's a perfectly adequate defender and not the liability so many people seem to think he is.

Ant got injured and tried playing through injury which is why his stats look identical to last szn. He left a game in the couple minutes and his ppg went from 26 to 24. He’s actually taken a major leap in playmaking and scoring and is a huge reason the Timberwolves are so successful right now

I completely agree with the Embiid take. The goal of every NBA team is to construct a roster to compete for a title, plain and simple. You do not win the championship in the regular season, you win it in the playoffs. There may be 82 games in a season (which Embiid doesn’t play all of anyways because he gets hurt so much) but the 4-28 games that you can potentially play in the playoffs are what cement your legacy. It’s the reason why despite a very underwhelming career overall, Allen Iverson is held in such high regard because of what he did in his finals run.

Scottie has done none of those things. Multiple players have good 25 game stretches that doesn’t automatically make them top 30. Scottie would be lucky to be included in a top 40 list.
