Oh my god Kathleen, you're such an incredible person. The reason that you're so special to your subscribers is not only because you're great with makeup but also because of your nice, genuine, and personable personality. ("personable personality" lol) I found you this year as well and I'm so glad I did. I personally am in my stuck-in-life and wanting-to-die part of my life and it's so incredibly hard for me to even attempt to be positive. I'm sincerely sincerely glad your life has gotten better and you're happier. You inspire me to be positive. We all love you.
Oh and we cry the same way haha. While I cry, I'm always like, "What's wrong with me? Why am I crying? Haha I look stupid."
Please stay positive .. some of the best things happen to us when were just about to give up ... Some thing that helped me a lot was taking 5 mins wen I first wake up and reciting everything I was thankful for in my life, that prevented me to unconsciously focus on the negative things in my life during my day... Stay positive!

I was sad every single day a couple of years ago, and when you're SO SAD nothing lifts up your spirits! I tried so many things... Going out... Trying to shop.. Watching a lot of TV.. You find no comfort until I realized I had to try and lift myself. You are very important youre a strong individual and you can do ANYTHING you want to do in life.. You have to tell yourself everyday "it's gonna be ok" "I'll be ok" I won't be stuck and sad forever" and every day just try a bit harder. You will get through it
Aw Kathleen! The ending was so heartfelt and amazing. You're one of my favorite youtubers EVER and I discovered your channel in 2014 and it's one of my favorites lol but we love you too! And it's because of how genuine and honest you are with us and how your personality is. Like you're just amazing that's just the perfect word to describe you haha. It wasn't until november that I literally watched all your videos and fell upon you talking about your anxiety... Girl, I have struggled with anxiety for years and always felt soooo alone! Hearing you open up and share your personal life with us is very endearing/inspiring. Got me all tearing up and what not... lol no but really I truly admire your strength and perseverance and I am so thankful that 2014 was the year I discovered Ms. Lights. I discovered Lexapro for anxiety in March of 2013, about two months before my wedding (thank goodness). I actually had a moment where I thought to myself, "Ohhhh, this is what it's like to feel normal."
Whew, I started to type "be normal" instead of "feel normal." Glad I caught that.

I'm sitting here waiting to take scans to make sure i'm still in remission from bone cancer and that end part really got to me. I'm not sure if you'll see this but I watched A LOT of youtube while I was sick and 2013-2014 positively sucked but as cheesy and vain as it may sound make up really helped me. It helped me deal with the ugly side of cancer and losing my hair. It also sort of made me feel less alone. I watch you and a few others religiously and you guys really did start to feel like friends. I know what it's like to feel "stuck". The last part about 2015 being our year really helped calm my nerves a bit. Thanks for being my virtual friends through all the hard times even though you didn't quite know it. I'm wishing you nothing but health, success, and happiness for 2015

This video touched my heart on a whole other level. I have been watching your videos for quite some time & I have to say that seeing you get this far and grow so much yet stay so humble is absolutely the most inspiring thing. I normally don't get emotional but girl you made me straight up cry with you. 2014 was YOUR year! I am SO happy that things got better for you, it's amazing. That being said, you are amazing at what you do. I know you said you love sitting there and talking to us and making these tutorials but I don't think you understand how much you actually mean to all of your fans, how much you teach us, and most importantly how much you make us laugh. Never stop doing what you're doing! 2014 for me, was actually the absolute hardest year of my life. I suffer from a lot of anxiety and panic and this year it was at its absolute peak. Kathleen, I just recently discovered you - I really enjoy you a lot! I started to cry with you girl! 2014 was my worst year and you tugged right at my heart when you mentioned how you were feeling 'stuck' at one point. That's exactly where I've been myself - stuck. I can't seem to find the right path (among dealing with a lot of other crap)... but I am really trying to stay positive. I'm hoping to build my channel more and learn more about beauty because it really cheers me up and I feel very passionate about it, and it would be nice to connect with people as I don't have any friends locally (my best friends are from college and they now live all over the place). I hope I can do something with my life where I can help women feel beautiful on the inside and out - as I believe both are really important in their own way and even feed off each other a little as a team. So yeah, I just poured my heart out a little here! But I really enjoy you and I appreciate your message so much of "stay positive" because it resonates with me and I am trying really hard to do so. I was never much of a youtube person, but in the beginning of 2014 I hit a really rough patch in my life where I suffered anxiety and panic attacks. It pretty much took over my life. You were the first beauty guru I found on youtube and I immediately connected with. For the first time the whole year I saw hope that things would be better. You provided an outlet for me and for that I will always be grateful. I wish you an amazing year an I look forward to more of your videos.

Just one more thing -
You never have to apologize for working hard and getting things for free. You never have to apologize for a background that isn't 'perfect'. You never have to apologize for being sick, not doing your nails, being emotional, or not being perfect. No one is perfect and it's stressful to try to project perfection & strength all the time. I don't understand why people would throw hate your way for whatever reason. Those people are usually just very, very unhappy people who are trying to spread the pain. As my ex-step-dad (who was a therapist) used to say: "Hurt people hurt people." As in, people who are hurting tend to hurt those around them. They want to spread the pain and misery, but we don't have to take that on. It's not our issue, it's theirs. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. Please believe it. (And it's totally ok to cry, my friend. Don't keep that ish inside because it's toxic. Let that out.)

Having a lot of make-up isn't useless or pointless. It's amazing and a privilege to have that much to share with other people-- plus it is all so beautiful and you never know what you want or need to wear and when. Thank you for all of your videos, keep your head up and actually thank you for your crying and sincere words it is refreshing to see UA-camrs be honest through tears, if that even makes sense.

Why doesn't anyone say that too face better than sex flakes like a mothaaaaa ! Omg or maybe it's just me? But it does badly.. Any one else have that issue? Or know how I can fix it?
It does it to me too. And someone said to use a waterproof mascara over it. I love the mascara so I'm going to try it.

I am still on the hunt for a mascara that doesn't weigh my lashes down. I also have a flaking problem, normally happens by the end of the day.

i just really want to say thank you so much for what you do. you may not realize how much you do for others but you have honestly changed my life. i started watching you in november and quickly subscribed. my dad was a Marine and is retired now but is still overseas. Ive literally grown up since the day I was born in a military family and it can be SO SO hard sometimes and these past few months for me personally have been probably the worst of my life. Missing a huge part of your life like your dad (or boyfriend) is terrible and seeing how strong and happy you are really helps me believe it or not because it reminds me that there are other girls just like me out there that have to deal with pretty similar things. I love how goofy you are and how close you and danny are. he is so lucky to have an amazing wife like you to support him while he is overseas. sorry this is long but when you started crying in the end of the video it really struck a nerve haha (a good one!)

I have to say I've followed tons of beauty UA-camrs. And I'm not gonna say your the best of my favourite etc. BUT! I have to say you are one of the most realist and cutest gurus! I just recently discovered your channel. I think that was in November. And you have been so inspiring--your strength, passion, and talent. Thank you for sharing those to all of us. I feel so close to you even though I can only see you on my computer. You gave me a tremendous amount of confidence, with or without makeup on, and encouraged me that I don't need high end, expensive makeup to pull of a great look. People started to notice how well I have improved in that aspect. LOL. Lastly, your videos always put a smile on my face.
