Love your choices this year, so pretty! I use a TUL, same discs as the happy planner in jr. size. Print my own grid sheets for the year & bullet journal for flexibility. If I feel frou-frou, I decorate. If not, change to minimalist at the drop of a hat. I cut clear plastic file folders from dollar store for covers & add cover page - sometimes pretty wrapping paper cut to size 😂 (I bought a punch so I can add my own pages) Started using budget worksheets from ' The Budget Mom' this year - lots of free stuff. Customized in Excel to suit my needs, printed to fit my planner. Love how you separated your "master," recipe & youtube!💟
I recently became a Happy Planner user as well and I'm LOVING it so far. I've always used an EC in the past but found myself wanting a change this year. And of all the layout options available through Happy Planner, my favorite is the dashboard layout. :)
I love all your videos, the planning videos are my favorite!! I’m using the homebody planner too, so far I love it a lot. I did like my bullet journal because you customize and make it pretty, but I couldn’t keep up with it either. The happy planner can be customized but if you don’t have the time, it’s still functional. Perfect for this busy life!! Btw my kids love your kids, I have four girls too and they pretend play they’re your kids, it’s so cute!!!!
I went with making my own in one of my favorite lined spiral notebooks. I pretty much copied the Erin Condren and Recollections vertical layout but with a Sunday start. That's what did it for me! I couldn't stand a Monday start planner. So far its working beauitfully. I also have all my months in one section together and all the weekly together. I hated having to jump so many pages to see the next month at aleast glance. I'm pretty simple with mine, a few stickers more writing than anything. I'm using a exceed A5 Dotted 100 gsm heavyweight paper Journal for tracking the budget. I might switch my planner to this one next year I'm loving the dotted pages and quality of paper. It seems to lay pretty flat, but I truly love a spiral notebook; so we will see. Thanks for sharing
I really like Happy Planners. I use the budget expander and the wellness one...so I only put four months in my planner at a time so it doesn't get too full and I also bought the larger rings. You could buy a set of metal rings to replace the plastic ones you don't like in the recipe one.
Your new planners are really lovely and I think you will enjoy them very much! I am still using my Walmart “Blue Sky “ planner the large desk size, I have used this type for several years and I really like it, it’s got lots of space for me to write in, I tend to write very large, plus a month at a glance and weekly layout. I like the larger size because I can always find it on my desk!!
I love my Happy Planner!! I chose the vertical too, in 2017 I was trying out three planners to see which layout worked for me. I like too there are stickers to get that and of course I have a drawer full now lol
You are the reason I started planning. I also agree with you that I have the plum paper one that I designed and I'm not loving it at all! So, I'm currently on the hunt for a planner I love. I've tried HP before but maybe it's time to try it again.
Live your videos! I’ve been a happy planner for years and have added my own pages to customize it for me. I bought an inexpensive arc punch so I could add my own pages. I’m doing the recipe book this year, as well. Several of your recipes will end up in there.
I cant wait to see what you do with your planners. I have been a HP girl since I began planning and LOVE them. I think it is so funny that you chose the exact things I did for this year. I chose the homebody line as well.-both the classic and the mini. So fitting. I love my recipe planner and am using for all my Keto recipes. I added the budget extension pack to my classic last year and LOVE it. I really hope you enjoy your purchases.
i still have to get my planners for the year. I checked Michaels a couple of weeks ago and I didn’t see anything like I bought there the year before. I’ll have to check Hobby Lobby or go online.
I love the THOUGHT of planning BUT I am an empty nester now and we really do not plan anything. I make a grocery list each week and that is about it. I am going to move to every other week grocery shopping and making a two week dinner menu. We will see if that lasts past February. 🤷🏻♀️ I love watching your planning process and I understand being a Mom of 5 that you must do a lot of life planning. Baby Levi is growing up too quickly. Seems like just yesterday that I was sewing up some burp cloths for him ♥️
I just started using the HP, love it. I turned mine into a " transformer" planner with 4 sections and 4 covers. (Videos on UA-cam about this). Thanks for sharing! 😁
I appreciate the time you invest in caring for your family and sharing with your viewers. Time is valuable!

The Happy Planne is my favorite!
But mine is the teacher planner.
I am just using a spiral notebook this year as I expect a lot of notes this year.
I’m using that mini homebody💕

You could use a planner to record activities and memories after the fact rather then as a "planner" where you record things before they happen.
P.S. Just used CrispLid. Hoping you jotted down a comparison video in your new UA-cam planner for the CrispLid vs. Instant Pot Duo Crisp Lid 😉😂
