It is NEVER too late to start a no-buy.
Absolutely my friend 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
Pepper says, “Cat treats are a necessity. No spend days do not apply to MY wants.” I say, thanks for another inspiring post.
😹😹😹 Oh yessss, Pepper says that goes under the grocery budget!!! lol
Melanie, you’ll never guess how much money I saved by using your calendar in January! $1,600! The February calendar is on my wall. I’m going to try to save just as much this month. Thank you for inspiring me! Hugs!
Oh WOWWWWWW!!! That is AMAZING and I am so incredibly HAPPY FOR YOUUUUU 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼💵💚😻 I know you’re going to do great in February too!!!
I love the concept of appreciating the neighbour's decor♥
In the book "Good bye things", the author Fumiko Sasaki talks about the similar concept. You can see the city as your floor plan, and stores as your personal warehouse. You can enjoy so much without owning, and appreciate labor of other people♥
I think ultimately, nature is the best decor you can enjoy😄
Thank you for the book tip!!
Ohhhh, I have to read that book!! I have heard of it so I’ll go see if my library has it ❤️🙏🏼❤️
Lovely video full of kindness and grace ❤❤❤
I always tell my friend who are doing no buy with me: just because you slip up don’t throw away the whole year. Progress is still being made ❤
Got a Hobby Lobby ad during your video lol! Sorry Hobby Lobby you’re not getting any of my money. I’m already pretty mindful about what I buy. My goal this year is to be more mindful about where I spend my money. I want to support more small and local businesses and less big billion dollar corporations.
Yessssss!!! That’s amazing you are shifting your buying habits to support local! 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼 Funny how you got a Hobby Lobby ad…oh UA-cam 😂
I almost impulsively brought a heart jumper because I saw you wear it and it looked incredible on you!!!
I didnt tho. Yay me!
lol!!! Yessss, yayyyyy you!! If you lived closer to me, I would let you borrow it 🩷🙏🏼🦄🌟
Never too late to start absolutely right 🎉 my husband has been in hospital obviously we don’t have medical bills here in the UK but I thought our bills would go up and they actually went down. I didn’t have time to go shopping. 🎉
Miss Pepper's tail while you were laying out the clothes was the sweetest thing!!
And that shot of her kneading the pile of clothes
She’s such a good girl!!! She’s always by my side 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
I bought the no spend 2025 and it is beautiful! I replaced “spend” with “snack” and I use it to track healthy no snacking days. Works great 👍
fantastic stuff ....well done
That’s genius!
Oh my goodness…I LOVE THAT!!! Thank you so much and I will be cheering you every step of the wayyyyyyyy 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
I love your idea and love the way you've decorated your No Buy pages. My goal is to shop my pantry, fridge, and freezer. ❤
Aweeeee, thank you so so much 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼 I will be cheering you on as you do your No Buy February!!!
Ms Heart, glad you are starting your ‘No Buy’ challenge. I agree it is never too late to start!
I love that you set your goals to include not buying/receiving any more clothing, and using up some of your craft supplies and not adding any more supplies in any way. I also love that you now understand you don’t need any more decor, because you have more than enough to decorate every room in your house already. Good luck with achieving your goals each month.
Yes and we usually decorate with our favourites each year anyhow, so why not stick to the things that hold memories and enjoy those 🙂 New is not better...
Thank you so so much for your sweet encouraging message, it means the world to me 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
You are very creative and your home is always decorated so beautifully. I think sometimes that can contribute to hoarding tendencies also because you have so many wonderful ideas and would gather supplies to decorate and make gifts. I think a no spend will continue to support your hoarding recovering. You've done so well. Keep up the good work.
You are SO right! My hoarding tendencies were super fueled by crafting and decorating. Also my ADHD plays a factor too 🙏🏼🦄💕 But we’re changing that all around!!
❤My goals for February low spend, no spend carry over from January: use up my cleaning & laundry supplies, no new clothes, meals at home. 🎉 My triggers are Hobby Lobby, Target, Ross etc. I need to stay out of all of them😂
Yesssss!!! Love that you are setting those boundaries for yourself, great goals!!!! I’m cheering you on and you got this!!!! 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
@ahoardersheart thank you so much 💓
Off-topic but I love the cat faces 😸 on your family pics. So cute.
lol!!! Thank you!!! Yeah, I keep my family’s identity private so they became my “cat family” on UA-cam 😂
I think you have what it takes to be successful youtuber and giving it your full attention is what you needed to do to make it grow. Losing your old job may have been a what you needed gor this next chapter in your life because it sounds like you liked your old job and boss and you may never have left voluntarily. I think a book is a good idea especially if it centers on your hoarding disorder. You have a unique point of view being a former hoarder so that will make you stand out when you get your name out there. I see other youtubers networking with each other with interviews which usually seems to benefit both channels. Maybe that will help.
Thank you so so much my friend ❤️🙏🏼❤️ Yes, I had liked my job, had a great boss and I would not have left voluntarily!!! I keep thinking that it is a sign but it’s still scary not receiving a steady known paycheck each week! But I have faith and I’ll keep going, making sure we’re within our budget and doing No Spends every month 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
My biggest goal is to relieve my anxiety about having enough money for emergencies, car repairs, etc. I need to create enough savings so that I no longer feel anxiety when I need money for these things. I do have an emergency fund, but I wasn’t going big enough with it. My shopping habits were definitely part of the problem!
I hear you!! Being mindful of our spending can definitely reduce our anxieties! 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼 Please know that I am cheering you on every step of the way!!
I’m using your system to track my no-spend days and it’s working great for me! I found that when I set myself specific goals I would start to feel rebellious and want to go on a spending spree, but if I just MONITOR without setting specific goals I am WAY more likely to skip the purchases.
It’s making me feel like I’m succeeding, and that success is showing up in my house and my wallet. ❤❤❤
With an unstable economy this makes sense more than ever. Since dollar store no longer a dollar we all buy less there .😂
Yessss!! There is a lot of uncertainty in this economy for sure! This is the BEST time to start a No Buy ❤️🙏🏼❤️
I'm doing another low buy year in 2025 as well. It really helps to be mindful of what you bring into your home and into your life. Wishing you strength with this challenge!
Yessss!!! Shifting our mindset to bringing awareness to what we’re bringing into our homes!! Thank you and I will be cheering you on too 📣🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
No buy is easy when prices are so high. The more things are decluttered, the less you want to buy. Enjoy it in the store.
There's no problem with decorating for seasons and holidays within reason if you want to. It can be very enjoyable for you and your family to do that and even to enjoy the neighbors decorations....💓 I have this thought, tho, if you don't buy it and bring it home, it's not your responsibility to keep it out of the land fill.....I hope I said that right. You are so clever and so good at using what you already have.
Thank you so much for saying that, this is the first time I heard it this, “it’s not my responsibility if it lands in a landfill.” That takes away the guilt of throwing it out when it’s in my house! Very wise words indeed!!
@@ahoardersheart ❤❤❤
6:32 This is why I don't put up outdoor Christmas lights. 😊
I have been selling my fabric hoard. I am now out of debt but I needed a budget. I am doing a No Buy year.
No buy 2025 sounds fantastic I just joined 5 different groups in my area thanks for sharing that I've been boxing up stuff taking it to good will would love to be able to share things with someone who would love them such a excellent idea💜🦄
Thank you so much for joining the No Buy movement! 💜🦄 Yessss, so many people will be blessed by your items! Another nice thing is that I met a lot of good people in my town 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
You’re going to do great! You’re very resourceful and grateful!
Awe, you are so sweet!! Thank you so much 🙏🏼🦄💜🌟
😮❤❤ Your thumbnail is so pretty! You did such a great job on it 😊
Awe, you are so so sweet!! Thank you so much my friend 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
❤ you are worthy, beautiful & inspiring✨️💫
We have an amazing and generous buy nothing group. It’s just too much of a temptation for me. I can’t scroll through it anymore.
My trigger is nice things on sale at great prices - like Halloween decor on clearance in November🎃🐈⬛, Christmas decor on clearance in January, etc 🎄🎁. 66% off?!?! What a great deal! Except I don’t NEED any more of any of these items, so it’s not a great deal, because I’ll have to deal with the new stuff and find somewhere to store it. I ask myself, “did you come in here for Christmas cushions?” Since the answer is no, I leave them on the shelf. I tell myself, “check your holiday decor. If there’s a Christmas cushion-shaped hole, you can come back in 24 hours and buy it.” Only once have I ever gone back and bought something, because it was really perfect for my family. And such a deal!😁
One thing I've never bought is any holiday decor.... I do not see the reason for it... It really is so unnecessary
Pepper the cat says all I need is food and water in my food bowls, treats on a regular basis, a nice warm bed , Cat toys, a cardboard box, medical when I need it and your love. Why can't we all survive like our pets ? Best advice I got on buying holiday decorations from a cashier at Dollar Tree. She said she tosses and trashes the previous year's decorations and gets new decorations . Circle of life.😊❤
Oh I love that 🐱❤🐶 Gosh how true, that’s really all we need bc I like my treats too 😂
Beautiful gift basket! I told myself I can give one gift or donation per week.
💗💗💗
I love your epiphany over your neigbours decoration! We don´t have to own everyhing we like, we can just watch it and enjoy it. I mean; we go to museums to appreciate beauty but we don´t take the artworks home. Right?
You are so creative. Thanks for sharing your creative talents with the rest of us.
Aweee, thank you so much my friend!!! I’m so happy you like them 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
Appreciate your dedication to helping others, Ms. Heart! Thanks for the encouragement!
With tariff threats, I’m really trying not to hoard things I use a lot of like detergent, dry goods, pantry staples, etc. The threats to Canada are causing me anxiety.
I am doing a low buy year too and Ijust decidedlastweekso not too late at all! My trigger is home furnishings and ebay even more thsn Amazon for some reason. I saw an interesting suggestion on A to Zen UA-cam channel, she suggested bringing a little journal with you everywhere you go and whenever you're tempted by an impulse purchase to write it down and the price and what you were feeling at the time, try to find out why you wanted it. I feel it may make me feel better about not buying things also if I keep a running total of how much money I save.
I do this with mostly makeup online. I'll bookmark everything or find it on Mercari, and I'll revisit it and whittle it down.
That’s a good idea to bring the journal along! What’s helped me as a recovered shopaholic is that you get the “shopper’s high” in anticipation of getting the item. When you first see the item and you love it, that’s the dopamine peak in your brain! As you put it in your cart, your dopamine levels starts to drop, as you check out, even less. Once you’re home, it’s gone and buyer’s remorse sets in. Knowing that, when I’m out and get that shopper’s high from something I see, I know that’s the peak! I thank the item for making me feel good and leave it at the store!! That’s helped me immensely!
Good perspective. You have a great mindset. One day at a time. 😊
Thanks!
Aweeeee!!! Thank you so so much my friend!!! I truly appreciate your Super Thank!! 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
I love the No Spend calendars! Soooo much money saved = no debt 👍 What helps with not buying stuff is this quote..."Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” So much is wasted if we over purchase and never use it....best to do low waste living instead.
Yesssss!!! Love that!!! It’s like a Budget Mantra!! I’m going to write that in my money journal 💚🌟💰
@@ahoardersheart 🙂❤
I have already mess up this month. But I going to get back on track
You can do it! We're all cheering you on 🎉
It's not a mess up! It's one day of 365 days. You got this
I want to retire. My triggers are perfume, clothes, jewelry and purses so those are all no buys for me. In January I did well on everything except perfume and I did buy a pair of boots. 😢 But I plan to keep at it! ❤️
Yes, keep at it! You can do it. We're all here cheering you on 🎉
Also have to say I love the thumbnail for this video!
Well done for January no spend but I do realise ye had a lot of sickness too. Miss Pepper is as cute as ever 🐈 Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐈🦄
Thank you so much my dearest friend!! I hope you all are doing well and healthy 🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
When you’re no-spend all day every day because after you’ve paid your bills and bought enough food for the week there’s nothing left in the account 😂
Thanks for a great video.
Hope you have a good week.
Take care❤
Do you have any tips for encouraging/enforcing minimal/mindful consumption with your children? Mine have Christmas and Birthday money burning holes in their pockets and are desperate to buy each cuddly toy they see (when their beds are already full of toys). Girls age 4 & 11.
I can’t believe how tall your boys have gotten, seeing the pictures of you with them!
They can save it for a vacation or something special like a mini road trip one weekend. I'm in Texas and told my partner that it would be a fun date idea if we went to the closest Buc-ee's to buy foods to try and of course get one or two pieces of merch with the beaver on it 😂 There's all kinds of stuff in there, plus gift type stuff and everyday decor.
I’ve got 8yr old twins and it’s funny to see one is a spender and the other a saver. They’re at the age now where I don’t buy them toys throughout the year so anything they want they have to use their own money. They earn by doing extra chores after they’ve cleaned their room and tidied up the messes they’ve made around the house.
Twin 1 learnt quickly that it’s better to save so if they see something awesome and expensive they can buy it the next time they see it. Twin 2 is still learning and is often sad because they are so far away from being able to buy big ticket items because they keep spending small and often. We have a rule that we don’t buy toys when we first see them and if we are still thinking about them two weeks later then we get them. But ice creams, lollipops, crystals and art supplies can be an immediate purchase - twin 2 has a lot of crystals 😂
I love all of this. I admit that I'm struggling with the dopamine I get from scrolling Amazon or Facebook Marketplace. I gotta figure out a way to replace that habit.
I hope you write a book…I will be the first to buy 😊❤️ I buy very little but this one thing I would enjoy reading
You're doing a great job keep up the good work
I’m so excited for your books
Yes I'm excited to do month two of my no spend
I did really well last month. My bank account is very happy as well as my mind.
One way I'm trying to cut back is by only going to Goodwill once a month. I don't need many things from there, but I usually buy something anyways because for some reason I really struggle to leave a store without anything in my hand.
I embarrass really easily and made myself return things. Cured me. I already didn't like to waste money, but it sent it home that I just accumulated something that I have to take care of, and I've always been on the perfectionist side of things since childhood. It somehow included minimalism, not that I knew it. I decluttered as a child or young teen, too. I miss things, but I'm also happy (always been happy) to not worry about having a lot of stuff to worry about using, taking care of, etc.
A nice way to challenge yourself next time you visit a store?
It's totally okay to shop with your eyes. Or to leave a shop without buying. I have once filled a basket, then realized half an hour in these were all unnecessary impulse buys.. I returned the items to the shelves and left. It's difficult but not impossibble to do
Say yes to "No spend 2025!"
Great video, so many good ideas. Your boys are getting so big. Have a wonderful week.
Sharing this video with a group of friends who are tying the No Spend Year
Tanks for another great video!❤
Right day 2 of one I never knew I was in.
I love that you give yourself a goal for number of days vs expecting yourself to succeed the entire month. That is different from any challenge I’ve seen and actually makes it so much more manageable. I’ve have done no buy months before but if I mess up a day, it usually caused me to spiral and feel like a failure. I love the way you give yourself grace and still do an amazing job of avoiding triggers & change your habits! Your journey is truly inspiring and you have helped me give myself more grace. I have ADHD as well and your explanations are incredibly helpful! I wish you more and more success; you are truly a beautiful soul!
Aweee…thank you so so much!!! You are making my day!!! You are such a kind soul and I am so glad this video helped you! 💜🦄🌟🙏🏼 Please know that I will always cheer you on 🎉🎉🎉
I'm going to complain lol i miss your old videos 😅
Still proud of you!
Enjoyed the video!! ❤
Please doodle in your future books 📚, it looks so good
amazing im going to try this a must i went shopping today thanks for video
Great idea.
Hard for me not to buy take=out. Especially when groceries are at home.
I really like just you in your home. No need to add shots of anything else, except your family and Pepper
Love your idea for a no- spend year. I have 3 different gift cards I've been saving. Tina, Al's wife
Aweeee, that’s such a great idea! 💜🦄🌟🙏🏼
Hello from Germany, hi miss heart. Love your "no buy challenge" make it since 2021 like you, an before I make it year in year out.... Without now it😂..... Saving money is the best,... But yes I stragel sometimes, before I have a family (a husband and kids)

No need for two gardens of sparkly hearts lol!
No spend question- does this include going out for lunch, dinner? Or just material possessions?
❤
😊❤

💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I struggle to not buy stocks of food!!
❤❤❤😊
I am a successful singersongwriter and artist building new bridges between the music industry, film industry and art world
I can’t do it, always need something. Dog treats cat treats etc….
This video reminded me of what my mom always says…treat life like a museum. If you are curious about something you should look. But you don’t have to buy it to appreciate its beauty. 🩷
❤
