If you had had five more days it would still been the same thing. This was a life changing event whether you realize it or not which I’m sure you guys do by now. So happy for you all and I can’t wait for life to balance out. (I’m secretly excited to see how the new routine is going to look around the new property)
I Have been that overwhelmed many times. Being a military wife with three small children with a deployed husband. Moved 11 times in 23 years. I never got used to it.
I’m 71 and feel pretty safe in saying, if you had another week you would have needed another week. Moving is so very hard. I hope I never have to move again. It’s exhausting!! Great job though. YOU DID IT!!
I'm not hearing any annoying sounds from the AC Jason, so quit worrying. Breathe out and calm down....it's all good. Your moved and now you can start on the everyday life chores. And we love watching the process. Don't sweat it!
I agree, didn't hear a thing in the background. So glad you survived the big move!! Looking forward to seeing videos of the move but take your time and rest up first! We can be patient and wait, and if we can't then shame on us!
Considering the tick fever you went through recently, and the time you lost from it, I think it's a miracle you managed to get as much done as you did. That was a massive move!
I saw your podcast pop up and I told my husband “oh! It’s Coghill, I gotta watch it! Can’t wait to see all the animals being moved. Especially Nugget and Peaches.
So happy to have the first official Cog Hill Pod Cast in the books. Take a deep breath and all will be fine. ❤️❤️❤️ Happy 99th Birthday to your Grandpa. 🎂🎉🎊
I can’t wait to see how things are going on the 40. Considering you had your entire house to move your entire farm and build a new farm I think you guys did amazing can’t wait to see the future.
They say if a marriage can handling moving you will survive everything. Moving house to house is stressful. Y’all aren’t moving just a house you moved a whole farm. Animals. Stuff you’ve had for years and years. Downsizing on housing for you plus downsizing barns y’all had for now. Y’all made it!! I knew it was gonna be hard I figured the last week it would all catch up to y’all but I also knew y’all could do it!!!!! Y’all made it!!!!!! Now time for new adventures and excitement!
I was literally just going to the Coghill channel to make sure I didn't miss any notifications and the new podcast popped up!!!!!! Gosh I've missed y'all!!!! Happy birthday to Jason's Grand Daddy!!!!
You KNOW that once they got there, they did their own cleaning...they'll make the house theirs...let it go! My guess is that it would have never been as clean as you would have wanted. It's done...stop worrying...you're starting a new amazing adventure. Embrace these wonderful moments of your life experiences. So excited to see your animals happy, and in their new homes! ONWARD!!!
After all these years moving every 3-4 years for my husband’s Naval career……no move, and I do mean NO move is stress free or goes off goes with a “oh my gawd, where did all that crap come from” or a mental breakdown or two, or a fight or a thousand….lol. God bless y’all, find some humor, remember the memories and it have a beverage or several. Much love, many congratulations and welcome to you’re new homeplace.
I love watching you two on the podcasts. You are like a couple of ducks ... calm above the surface ... and paddling like hell under the water to get everything done.
Thanking the Lord that you all got safely moved to the 40. You all had a huge undertaking for just your family and no other help. Running back and forth here and there. Just take it all in and throw up both hands and thank the Lord that it's over. Things could have been a lot worse. Now I'm looking forward to seeing all the animals at their new home. I want to see Nugget and Peaches! I want to see the rest of the goats, and all the chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Okay... Scott, too. 😁 He better make up with Thomas. 😍 And yes... the two black beauties, the yard cats! Welcome home! 🏡 🏠 🏡
I think you both sounded just fine so don’t worry about the sound of the AC. Glad to hear you have moved to the 40. Will love to see your videos of moving the animals !!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR GRANDDADDY FOR HIS 99TH BIRTHDAY! Mine wanted to live until he was 90, after finding out he had cancer. But he didn't make it. He was 89 years and 8 months old. The doctor told him he was going to die in July, Grandpa said nope, too many family has died from cancer in July, he was going to die in August, 7 weeks later.
So glad everyone is moved and it went safely. If you need a emergency bathroom in the canned ham trailer you can use a 5 gallon bucket, attach a small toilet seat to it, put some shavings in bucket, cover up leavings with shavings. Poor man's composting toilet. The AC noise is of no bother and is no more than a whisper. Jason is right.. 1 project at a time so everything gets finished. Prioritize everything on paper 1 for outside, 1 for inside and cross off the list as projects are completed. Hot wire, peacocks, move pigs and etc. in daylight. In evenings can unpack and stow what you need in the camper and at the tiny house for your Mama. Hopefully the trees that came out can be chipped and used for mulch in the new orchard area.
Jason The podcast was perfect! Honest truth, I could not hear the air conditioning. The lighting was good. The sound was good. Please don’t try to make it more perfect right now! It will slowly find a routine. We love you and the family and the real everything you share. Just as it is. ❤️❤️❤️
So happy to see you all again! Thank you for sharing the trials and tribulations of moving. You two are so sweet and supportive to one another. Love how your strengths complement each other. Appreciate you letting me get to know you. You have a wonderful family. It's a privilege to be part of it. Blessings!
So excited to just see your faces… even though you are exhausted we are just so happy to see that you guys have made the move… could you have imagined doing this while still working at the dealership?
Take a deep breath and start reflecting on all the things that did go right. The new family sounds like they will work with you to resolve all those things that you are fretting about.
Everything sounds fine, didn't even hear the a/c!!!! Take a few days to just breathe and soak in your beautiful view!!! I have been following Mary Carl on instagram and she is doing beautifully on that and Happy Birthday to your grandfather!!! ❤
Jason and Brooke, pick out some of the tools you most commonly need and use. Add in some ties, some wire, electrical and duct tape. This becomes your portable tool set that goes in your truck and goes everywhere with you. Put it all in a canvas zip up bag. You will be so glad you did.
Exactly! I have a traveling tool bag too. Plus one of those kits that have a sampling of items inside my house and then keep all the regular size sets, drills etc in my garage.
I carry a canvas bag with bungee cords & heavy tarp straps & load tie downs. And a tote with a small socket set, 3 different pliers, a set of large small & micro screwdrivers, a magnetic "parts" bowl so you don't lose them while worked on something (it's the size of a cereal bowl) I set nuts, screws, bolts, & washers in it. I also have another tote with oil, tranny fluid, antifreeze, power steering fluid, a rust remover, & a lubricant spray. Zip ties, and tiny spool of wire, fuses, and "shrinky dinks" shrink tubes and wire connectors. Now I need to add 1 more thing. Muffler tape. A trucker friend found a crack in his exhaust pipe under his bed in his tractor cab. He knows I carry emergency supplies. The truck stops have down sized so much they don't carry the stuff they used too back when I drove demi's. So he asked if I had any. Sadly I didn't have some but will the next time I got to town to the parts store. He knows I carry just about everything. LOL I reminded him not to sleep while the truck was idling. So he doesn't die from bvn the exhaust fumes. He said he hadn't thought about that, and said thanx.
My Daddy passed away just before his 99th birthday. He still could see but he was having trouble hearing. He loved to mow the lawn. He was living in the house had him and Mother had had since I was 11 years old and he had sold it to my sister and her husband a few years ago and he lived there with them the rest of his life. And he mowed the lawn every week from the first green grass of the spring until it stopped growing in the fall. He talked about growing a garden again once in awhile but he never did. Stay safe and God bless you'll. Dan
With such a major change, there has to be chaos before the calm. Stop, breathe and relax. You are such hard workers, it will be no time before you have a handle on it. Looking forward to the new Cog 40!
That “last little dab of stuff” and the last few minor things to do are always SOOO much worse than you think! Glad to hear y’all are still in one piece and everybody is ok! Can’t wait to see the videos! 🥰
I can tell how excited mrs coghill is because she keeps cutting Jason off. Not in a bad way at all it’s just funny because she has so much to say and will forget if she doesn’t say it lol 😂 she is like me. I get excited and just need to talk and talk lol
oh thank goodness !! I was having Coghill Withdrawal symptoms !!! So glad to hear from y'all tonight !! ... I can't wait to see Nuggets reaction !!! Is he doing good? and Peaches tooo !!!! Miss my sheriff and the Boss !!! ( and the three of you and mama !! ) oh Lordy I miss the chickens the ducks the goats.. Shoot , I just miss ya all !!!
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm in the hospital and it made me smile hearing about your moving days. I hope you take just 1 day at a time, 1 box to unpack at a time, 1 animal enclosure at a time to build and just do it. As long as your family and the animals are ok, protected from predators etc that's all you need to do. It will get done eventually!
Wow Jennifer Richardson, I hope all is going well for you in the hospital, prayers going up for your healing and comfort. So glad you got to see the podcast and enjoyed the stories, they’ve been an enjoyment for me as well. I’m sure I’ll see your comments around the Cog hill farm, later!
Moving is hard….the last part has stuff that needs to be taken care of…….I could remember where things were in the old house…….you will get from A to Z and things will be put in their place……thank you for sharing all of this move with us..it is exciting to see all the plans come together…you both have a refreshing sense of humor.
Congratulations on getting it done!! Now that everything and everybody is on cite, things will go a little easier. I’m looking forward to seeing the animal moving videos, as I’m sure you had some “rodeo” moments! Very best birthday wishes to Jason’s granddaddy! So glad your back, you’ve been missed!!
Enjoy the process it’s what life is all about. My momma always said, “You are building memories.” Just think of all the stories your family will have of your adventure! I loved the story about the puppy and leash. MaryCarls response to her momma was priceless 😂❤️ Reminds me of when my son was driving through fast food and I asked for a large coffee and he said medium and I got a little excited. He explained that their medium was a large and he said, “Momma, you are such a child.” It just tickled me.
You did it! Most people move have what you experienced and that is without all the animals! You survived it. Rest up but boy are we pleased to hear from you. I hope you realise how much our Cog Hill community have been rooting for you. It will take time but now being in one place you will have more control less traveling back and forward. Give yourselves a pat on the back for what you have achieved. Thanks for the Instagram photo of your sunset view all I can say is WOW and also taking the time to do this podcast we understand how busy you are. The air con hasn’t spoilt our enjoyment I could barely make it out. So stop worrying about that
Y’all are amazing! Even when you’ve been so busy and accomplished so much, you still come out with a podcast! I would be taking a nap. Congratulations on your move and 🥳🎈🎉🎊Happy Birthday to your Grandfather!🎂🎊🎈🎉
So happy y’all are “mostly” moved. And how fantastic that the new owners for the old farm are being so awesome to y’all and letting the sweet shop and other things hang around. And y’all are being so good to them with the power and everything. Yet another reason to love the Cog Hill gang.
omg the withdrawals were killing me, I needed this/ sorry the move was overwhelming, but they are - and life gets back to normal eventually./ so good to see u both - blessings
Arms family needs Mary Carl to advise them on some ducks they "found" LOL Glad you are moved. Happy B-Day granddad! I know moving is a BEAR! But you got it!!
As I watched the Arms family netting unknown ducks I thought MaryCarl could answer their questions. MaryCarl has a great wealth of knowledge stored up. Before we all know it she will be a veterinarian.
So happy you guys are all moved and settling in. I couldn’t hear the air conditioner at all, sound was great. I’m excited to see the videos of the animals being moved and their new HOME. I’m like Lester, looking forward to seeing your routine on the CogHill 40.
Surviving crunch time equals SUCESS !! Can’t wait to see moving Nugget and Peaches. I’m sure the girls behaved. The feathers I’m up in the air with. Lol. ❤️
How wonderful to see you back again! I was worried about you. For sure there are exciting new videos to come soon with all your moving adventures. In spite of you having so many things to juggle, you do make it all look organized and straight forward. I can picture Gidget hanging from her leash! 😂😂😂 Again, just BREATHE! By the way, the air conditioner is not intrusive in your podcast. See you next time! 😊💗🇨🇦
OMGosh I’m so happy to see you guys back. I’m so sorry everything went to pieces the last few days. I think that’s what always happens….there’s never enough time. Love you guys❤️ How did Nugget do with the move???? Peaches 🍑🐷, how did she do?
Sooooo happy most of your move is over…do we get to see Nugget being moved? Whether or not, I hope it went smoothly for him and you guys. Moving is very stressful, but when you’re moving a farm, animals, AND a house….that’s 10 TIMES HARDER!!! MaryCarl is VERY WISE for an11 year old!!! Can’t wait to see the upcoming videos. God bless you and keep you all healthy and strong!!! Happy birthday Granddad!!! 💕🌸💕
To adapt your system, my day today was 10. Disaster. After spending this time with you, I'm a 5. Thank you taking the time. I truly appreciate seeing y'all.
Happy Birthday 🎂 to your Grand Daddy! Great job on getting moved! You are amazing people and I know the 40 will be awesome for your family and animals! You are Blessed!
It's always chaos when you do a major move. My prayers are with you. Just be patient with each other it takes a minute to get everything resettled and rearranged. I will continue to pray for you daily as you go through this change in your life. Remember be patient with one another because moving is one of the most stressful things you can do in life.
We have a fiberglass front door, it's stained like wood has a built-in grain on it. Never shrinks or swells. Has lasted about 25 years so far in the cold north east.
Holy guacamole, you got it done. Big congrats👏🏼🎉I know it may not have been what you were thinking, but you still got it done. Remember you were not just moving yourselves but Brooke’s mum, all the animals with equipment & supplies that go with them, setting up new fences, pens & shelters. It has been massive, you had been at the old Cog Hill for many years & with that comes a lifetime of “stuff”. In regards to the trees that Mary Carl is wise beyond her years , wonderful young lady. I know there is still much to do, you will get there, just pace yourself. Love The Canned Ham being the office/studio & Jason, the aircon is fine, it can barely be heard. Take care & cheers from 🐨🦘🥰
MC is a smart kid! Oak trees, by the way, are host to more species in nature than any other tree. Love how she has input and really love her spirit for living things.
Glad you all are moved!! It will be awhile before you are settled and can relax Happy 99th to your grand dad!! I bet the animals are enjoying their new homes!! Can't wait to see them. Much love from Texas
🤗 Big Hugs!!! You guys are great for taking time to share with us, I am exhausted just hearing all you are doing! The canned ham is adorable, love the colors/ materials, and the sound is great, and don't worry about the air conditioner it is just a white noise in the background💁♀️Love to you all! 🥰
🙋🏼♀️🕊.hi there about the dogs . When we moved I took my dog 🐕 on the leach, to the ( same place for the first two weeks.). and after that I would let her out ad she would go to the same place , Nice thing about it was when my daughter went out to play , yay the poop was in the corner of the yard she was able to play in the yard, with the dog 🐕 in the yard .they both were fine . She never went in any other part of the yard. When you move the dogs are confused. Don’t walk. All over till they poop in this place .🐕This stabilized them, Good luck🍀folks 🕊🕊blessings 🕊 stay 🕊safe🦋.
A friend of mine trained his dogs to poop on the priemiter line of the property. That way other animals stayed out of his yard and the kids could play in a safe zone.
Happy birthday Grand Daddy!!! I have a Rhode Island Red named Grand Daddy (it's a hen lol) the other one is named Mammy. Y'all look so stressed and tired. Take care of yourselves please. God bless you.
Glad to see your smiling faces once again. The new Era has begun and we are so happy to be a part of it. It's going to be Amazing; Amazing! Love the channel, have to say I missed you guys, glad you're back and doing well. Go Cog Hill
So happy to know you are safely moved and have all the animals with you. I started watching old videos where ya'll took Nugget to the creek and yesterday I checked on MaryCarls Instagram and was happy to see Zerk and her other bird's and a picture of Jason and Brooke resting after what's been a long hard move for you. Boy it's good to see you all again. Y'all be good now! Happy Birthday to Jason's granddad 🎂
The airco is not bothering me at all Jason, to 99 years grand dad : happy birthdaywishes. I am looking foreward to the video’s of the animals. I hope that you can take some rest now and settle in.
Glad to see you guys again. Before I retired, I used to be a structural engineer. I just wanted to inform you about the foundation for your house. I'm assuming that it'll be a reinforced, 4" to 6 " slab on grade. Make sure that the slab is thickened along all the edges to approximately 2'-0" x 2'-0" so that it forms a continuous, reinforced grade beam in order to distribute the roof and wall loads. do not just end it as a 4" to 6" slab. Check with the engineer before it is constructed. I'm really looking forward to your next videos to see how you managed to move the animals, especially Peaches and that cute dinosaur Nugget. Good luck and have fun.
Take if from this 70 yr old lady who has moved several times in our marriage , that in a few yrs you will look back and laugh at your move. You are not just physically tired but mentally exhausted. Take time to just breathe while you are looking over this wonderful new adventure that your family is on. You deserve it.❣️
You both make us know how real you are! Life happens and you admit it. Your podcasts and videos are my happy place. My love to you all and good wishes for your progress! YOU ARE DOING IT!!
If you had had five more days it would still been the same thing. This was a life changing event whether you realize it or not which I’m sure you guys do by now. So happy for you all and I can’t wait for life to balance out. (I’m secretly excited to see how the new routine is going to look around the new property)

Oh finally! So glad to hear y’all are safe and okay and moved, missed y’all so much! Happy Birthday Papa 99yrs WOW!
Hi Lester/ Jamie 🤗
Yep, that's what I kept thinking the whole time. Those last 2 or 3 days are always hectic no matter when they come.
“Don’t edit this out, it’s real stuff.” 🤣😂👍
I’m 71 and feel pretty safe in saying, if you had another week you would have needed another week. Moving is so very hard. I hope I never have to move again. It’s exhausting!! Great job though. YOU DID IT!!

Never heard the AC once Jason!
I was thinking the same thing! Just be thankful
I agree, didn't hear a thing in the background. So glad you survived the big move!! Looking forward to seeing videos of the move but take your time and rest up first! We can be patient and wait, and if we can't then shame on us!
Agreed... I didn't hear any air conditioner or any other noises. Y'all are good! 😊
Me neither.

Jason Happy Birthday to your Grandfather that's a great day to honour for sure.
Can y’all believe what Brooke said: Don’t sweat about what you can’t control.
"I've become a minimalist in a week" ~ hilarious!!!
So happy to have the first official Cog Hill Pod Cast in the books. Take a deep breath and all will be fine. ❤️❤️❤️ Happy 99th Birthday to your Grandpa. 🎂🎉🎊

Need to waste time moving your podcast stuff. Just do more from the tiny trailer👍🤗
Happy birthday to Jason’s granddaddy. You two look exhausted take a deep breath and try to relax. y’all have an awesome evening.
So glad you'll be back on schedule again. Missed you. Hope all goes smoothly now.
So happy to see you all again! Thank you for sharing the trials and tribulations of moving. You two are so sweet and supportive to one another. Love how your strengths complement each other. Brooke, "I've become a minillist in one week!" 😂
But y'all did it! Congratulations on y'alls new life on the Forty!❤️
So excited to just see your faces… even though you are exhausted we are just so happy to see that you guys have made the move… could you have imagined doing this while still working at the dealership?
Glad to see you all, hope you are all recovered and animals loving their new home. Happy 99th to your granddad!!!! 🎂
Even though things are still crazy, you are there! Can't wait to see more animals moved. You are not done, but you are over the hump.

Happy Birthday to your Grandaddy. 99 years young quite an achievement
It was so good to hear what's going on. Didn't even pay any attention to the air conditioner.
Woooohoooo!!!!! Sure have missed y'all. So glad to see y'all. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDADDY!!!💕🎂🏆🎈
That “last little dab of stuff” and the last few minor things to do are always SOOO much worse than you think! Glad to hear y’all are still in one piece and everybody is ok! Can’t wait to see the videos! 🥰
Good morning! Not hearing the air conditioner! Love, love, love y’all!! Just slow, deep breathe and enjoy every minute you have! Y’all are so blessed!
I can tell how excited mrs coghill is because she keeps cutting Jason off. Not in a bad way at all it’s just funny because she has so much to say and will forget if she doesn’t say it lol 😂 she is like me. I get excited and just need to talk and talk lol
Which is good because Jason is exhausted. I personally don't know how they do it. I would not be smiling so big after that crazy week!
They sell doggie doors for campers. If y’all wanted to do that and just put a fence around the canper. That would help a lot.
oh thank goodness !!
Whew! I’m so glad you’re back! Congratulations on the move- it has to be a relief it’s over. Now, onto the build🙌🏼
😂
So stop worrying about that
Missed y’all!!! Congratulations on your accomplishments!!
Congratulations on being MOVED! Can't wait to see the videos of the animals moving. Thanks for always sharing with us. Cog Hill Rocks.
Lol I watched old ones too!
Me too, I missed them so much!
The air conditioning is not bothering me at all !
Arms family needs Mary Carl to advise them on some ducks they "found" LOL Glad you are moved. Happy B-Day granddad! I know moving is a BEAR! But you got it!!
That is exactly what I thought when they were trying to figure out what kind of ducks they were.
As I watched the Arms family netting unknown ducks I thought MaryCarl could answer their questions. MaryCarl has a great wealth of knowledge stored up. Before we all know it she will be a veterinarian.
We want to see the animals
So happy you guys are all moved and settling in. I couldn’t hear the air conditioner at all, sound was great. I’m excited to see the videos of the animals being moved and their new HOME. I’m like Lester, looking forward to seeing your routine on the CogHill 40.
I bet they are in love with Cog Hill Farm what a beautiful place they bought…
Surviving crunch time equals SUCESS !! Can’t wait to see moving Nugget and Peaches. I’m sure the girls behaved. The feathers I’m up in the air with. Lol. ❤️
Glad to see that you are back I've missed your show
So glad you're almost done with the move. May God lead and guide and bless you.
Love you guys❤️
How did Nugget do with the move???? Peaches 🍑🐷, how did she do?
So glad to see you guys!! Happy 99th Birthday to Grand Daddy
Happy Birthday Grand Dad, I'm so glad to see you guys.

Greg sounds awesome. Y'all are blessed. Nothin' worth havin' ever comes easy y'all. Sure do love y'all and your critters! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDAD!!!!
Happy birthday granddad have a bless Day
We have a fiberglass front door, it's stained like wood has a built-in grain on it.
Huntsville, Texas here, hi neighbor! Love the Smith family and Cog Hill Farm friends and Mama!
Congratulations on moving to the 40 , I am so excited to see your animals and especially nuggut xxxx
You guy's are doing great, that was a big move... Will all be here when you back on track, it's all good!
Thank both of you. 😁
You are great together. The air conditioner IS NOT TOO LOUD or distracting.
I love this podcast! The dog incident had me laughing, lol.
You two get along like best friends and that’s the way it’s suppose to be. My husband and I get along like that as well
Happy birthday Grand Daddy!!!
Go Cog Hill
Happy Birthday to your grand daddy!
Congratulations on your big move to the 40!
Happy for y’all! Jason, please try to relax! You look so stressed. Things will work out. Sending lots of good thoughts!
You know why ya'll do so well during these stressful times? Ya'll both crazy!

I’ve missed you all so much!
Me toooo
Me, three!
Take if from this 70 yr old lady who has moved several times in our marriage , that in a few yrs you will look back and laugh at your move. You are not just physically tired but mentally exhausted. Take time to just breathe while you are looking over this wonderful new adventure that your family is on. You deserve it.❣️
Happy birthday 🎂🎉. So glad y’all got moved “home “. God bless y’all
God Bless you all for getting moved. Happy Birthday to your Granddaddy.
