    I’ll have mine one year in August! I have not one complaint! I love love love them! I just ordered the black and gold ones just because they are a special edition and worth the money! Your review was on point and the best I’ve seen thus far. Also every advice you gave was awesome. Cooking in then and washing drying them is a pleasure! Also they give you two trivets to place your hot pots on and a holder for your pot covers to hang in your cabinet when not in use. They thought of everything. Everyone go get your pots you won’t regret it!!!!! Worth every single penny!!!!

      Hi Sheryl!
      Caraway sisters!! 😁
      I am sooooo happy you love yours too!!!
      I can’t imagine my kitchen without them. Also, I am so happy and jealous for you and your new black and gold set. I was eyeing her really hard - she’s so stunning.
      Caraway brings it every time.
      Thank you tremendously for your kind words. Im thrilled you enjoyed my review and added some fantastic points of your own.
      Thank you, my friend. I wish you and your Caraway sets many years of happiness. 🥰

    My daughter bought me a set of these white for Christmas with the gold handles. They are absolutely gorgeous I don't even want to use them, they are exceptionally nice. My biggest worry is someone else will scratch them, I take really good care of my things, just trying to figure out how to protect them 100%. Love your review ❤️.

    I’ve been binging review videos all morning and until yours I thought I should pass. I was concerned about using high heat to boil water, so hearing you mention the things you cook was helpful. …I’m leaning towards the gray.

      What’s a medium heat if they’re all fire? Isn’t the temperature of fire all the same?

    I really enjoyed your review. Since it is only to be used on low to medium heat (I have a gas stove), can you easily boil water? When I usually boil water, I boil at medium-high to high heat.

    I have a question of why can’t you cook with it on a higher heat but it can go in the oven for 500 degrees. It doesn’t make sense to me. 🤔

    • @SoShantel
      @SoShantel  2 роки тому +5

      Hi Joan,
      That's a fantastic question and one I had not considered before. I was thinking it may have something to do with direct versus indirect heat and was able to confirm this with a Caraway representative named Jessica. Per Jessica, cooking on your stovetop would be considered direct heat since your pan makes direct contact with your stove top. Using low to medium heat is recommended when using direct heat since high and direct heat can lead to the premature breakdown of the pans' nonstick coating.
      Higher and indirect heat, such as the heat produced in your oven, is far safer for your pans because the heat circulates around your pots and pans without making the direct contact your stovetop would make.
      I hope I explained that well. It makes sense in my mind, but written words don't always translate well.
      Thank you so much for asking this question! 🙂

    How is it only medium heat on the stovetop but then 500 in the oven is fine?

    • @SoShantel
      @SoShantel  2 роки тому

      Hi Jeromie!
      The stove should be on medium high/high, which for me is an 8 out of 10 on my stove’s settings. From there it will go into the oven set at 500 degrees and your steak will be fantastic!! 🥰

    • @SoShantel
      @SoShantel  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Jeromie,
      I am so incredibly sorry I misunderstood your question and accidentally answered based on a different video on my channel.
      I didn't realize it until someone else asked the same question and I re-read yours. Please forgive me.
      The reason low to medium heat is recommended on the stovetop and 500 degrees is permitted in the oven is because of direct and indirect heat.
      When your pan is on the stovetop, it is in direct contact with the burner, which is direct heat. Cooking at low to medium heat preserves the nonstick coating. The materials used to construct these pots and pans retain heat well and heat throughout evenly, so high heat is not necessary on the stovetop.
      Your oven is considered indirect heat because the heat is able to circulate around the pan. This type of high heat is not dangerous for your Caraway set since it's not making direct contact with the pan.
      Please feel free to reach out if I have not thoroughly answered your question.
      My apologies again for misreading your question.
      I hope you have a fantastic day and week!

    Have you experienced any kind of staining of spices such as paprika chili powder etc.
    Also my girlfriend bakes a lot !!! And is using butter in a lot of recipes , have you seen any butter that’s browned stain or leave behind discoloration?

    • @SoShantel
      @SoShantel  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Brandon! I haven’t seen staining of any kind. I’ve cooked curries, used paprika, chili powder, tomatoes, tomato sauces and pastes, and more and they still look fantastic. No stains, no discoloration, no warping, nothing.
      The only time I use high heat is to boil water. Aside from that I stick to medium, medium low and low heat to cook.
      I hand wash every piece with a soft sponge and constantly check for scratches, chips, stains, etc. and they’re going strong. Very strong in fact. ♥️

      @@SoShantel how often do you use high heat to boil? I was under the impression that high heat of any kind would damage the nonstick. Thanks so much for this review. I ordered the sauce pan, Dutch pan and sauté pan separately because I don't use frying pans and I didn't want to have something extra in my cabinet that I wouldn't use. I am excited to try them out, but have heard lots of negative things, so I am concerned.

    Are these your only pots and pans what do you use to clean them?

    • @SoShantel
      @SoShantel  2 роки тому +2

      I have other pots and pans that my grandmother gifted to me. They will likely be with me forever. They are stainless steel, so I use them when I want to sear and/or cook at a higher temperature than Caraway recommends in their pots and pans.
      I wash my Caraway set by hand with a soft sponge and regular dish soap. They either air dry or I dry them with a kitchen towel and tuck them in. Lol.
      I’m really strict about following Caraway’s care guide and have seen great success. To date I have not experienced scratches, discoloration, chips, fading, etc. They heat and cook evenly as well. I’m a super happy girl. ♥️

      Hi Mary,
      I’m sorry your experience was not a good one, especially considering how expensive this set is.
      I am a year and a half into ownership and am still very much in love with my set in both performance and appearance. My only complaint is that I don’t have enough space for every set in ever color.
      I wish you all the best in your future cookware purchases and hope you find everything you’re looking for. You’re absolutely worth it. 🥰

    I moved from a gas stove (sorry, I love gas) to an electric cooktop like yours. My Cuisinart skillet burns regardless of how low I keep the heat so I've been looking at the Caraway skillet in particular. A gentleman also on UA-cam did not give as good a review as yours but he uses gas. Could that be the difference?
