Judging from the coverage I’ve seen, specifically by the establishment/ Mockingbird Media, they’d love nothing more than to make this story disappear, sweep it swiftly under the rug.
The *downplaying* was astounding. The text added to video did not match what my eyes were seeing. Text like, “loud noises interrupt rally in PA”, “secret service rushes to former president after he falls on stage”. *NONE* of them, except maybe FOX, even when they shifted to live coverage, mentioned anything about gunfire and really, really hesitated to use the phrase “attempted assassination”. The coverage was absolutely despicable. Even now, only 2 days after, media hacks are *still* trying to spin this, some going so far as to *blame Trump* for it.
I didn’t think my opinion of the mockingbird media could get any lower. Boy was I wrong.
As for the shooters phone, I’m sure the FBI will file it right next to Hunters laptop, under the floor under the rug, and classify the fck outa everything…

I thought Tim knew about guns or at least had a hobby level understanding… you don’t have to compensate for wind at 130 yards 🤣 I mean maybe if it’s really blowing and you are trying to make a quarter sized grouping but ANYONE who has shot an AR for more than a few minutes should know at 130 yards you have to be pretty incompetent to miss. That said it’s EGREGIOUS that they said it was “outside their perimeter?” The first day my 65 year old mother ever shot a gun in her life she made a 1 foot group at 100 yards with all 10 rounds. I’ve never heard of a perimeter less than 600 yards. Even that is WAY too close. An AR is accurate but it’s not an actual marksman rifle and it’s definitely NOT a marksman/long distance cartridge but it’s effective to 600 yards… 1000 yards for a professional shooter isn’t even that crazy with the right set up. There is no level of incompetence to explain THE CLOSEST BUILDING with LINE OF SIGHT being left unmonitored, no way it should be unoccupied and there is DEFINITELY zero way at 130 yards it should be outside the perimeter… any of the 3 would have prevented this tragedy.

I do believe that's part of the format. It's a discussion of two sides trying to sandbox ideas, sometimes Tim has bad takes. Frequently his analogues are cringe. But he doesn't usually have a show where they all just nod and clap like seals like they do on The View. To be fair, drama is what attracts many people and keeps them engaged while boosting in the algorithm by the comments that get baited by the disagreements.
