Well, yeah, wedding ceremony is for relatives and friends, less for the married couple themselves. It is so costly to run them that some people opt out for cheaper solutions like smaller and tighter parties. I wish it wasn't that expensive these days.
I respect people who know they don't want kids and live their life accordingly. Honestly a lot of people are not equipped, financially, emotionally etc to have children BUT I personally want 5+ kids. And if I were of Japanese ancestry (I'm not) I would try to have even more than 5 because Japanese population is declining rapidly. It's scary to look at the projections for Japan
@@iTuber012 I’ve heard that the birth rate in Japan recently increased a bit right after the government started giving a bit more financial support to people who have children!
Great discussion. I agree with a lot of her practical reasons for marriage, especially to have children to pass down possessions or wealth to. Fundamentally, we should marry and have children, I think it's one of the milestones of life, but personally I don't understand it. I don't understand intimacy or love, but even so, people will still procreate without a need for me. lol Interesting things to think about though. 👍
@ Partnership ? I guess it's something, a little step forward, hope it will change in the future cuz everyone deserves to be free with who they love :)
@@alwaysalonesoki1217 It’s not called discouragement. It’s called ‘question’. And interviews consist of questions and answers. We have been friends for 10 years and we have discussed many things and you are just watching one of them:)
It's nice to listen to something positive and optimistic for a change.😊
Absolutely!

I think it's nice that nowadays people can kinda choose the size of wedding they want in many countries!

@sayasjapaneselesson Same to you! But without understanding and reason we're little more than animals ね ~~~
How is it in Japan when it comes to same sex marriages ?
Unfortunately it's not legal yet. Some towns introduced a system where they can get 'Partnership' to get service as family.

@@mandola9342 Yess. Thank you for mentioning this topic🙏🙏
Love how Aya ignored the discouragement and negativity from that interviewer 😂
