I can really tell an improvement in your recent pieces! Gosh, the fabric here is really lush and looks thick. And the skin, as always, is great. I feel the same way about orange paints- they're so enticing, but seldom have a use on their own, other than mixing greens. Good idea on the calendar. If anything, it's a good goal to work towards with a reasonable expectation of one piece a month.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I actually don't use orange enough even in mixing greens, but now that you say it, it sounds so obvious. Wow, I need to do that. Nice earthy greens without whoops added too much red 😅 One piece a month.. January 30th.. 😦 (it's okay, I could always wrap up the end months in the beginning of 2025).
@briwidmerart Oh goodness, yes, the earthy greens you get with oranges are fantastic! Have fun playing with that. 😉 Yeah, I guess that first month is already gone, but you could have a piece going alongside the others that you can work on if you have some spare time, even if it takes all year.
I'm absolutely guilty of simplifying patterns when painting as well 😅 I was painting a scene from the movie kill bill vol1 and there was a white kimono with white patterns. I ended up picking a few unique shapes and ignored the rest 😂 the calendar sounds so fun! But yeah it definitely needs some serious preparation in advance especially if you just want to enjoy the painting process, good luck 🥰 Also I think you did the photo justice your painting turned out sooo beautiful 👏🏼
very nice job with the clothes 😀and yeah sometimes talking ab out a plan helps get it done, other times it still goes in one ear and out the other, never to be thought of again 😝
