One lesson I took away from this is that if you've been parked awhile, or had your vehicle in storage for a period of time, to check under the hood and all over it very closely before you crank it up. If you don't feel comfortable, there are mobile mechanics almost everywhere who can come and give it a good onceover for $100 or less. Better safe than sorry.
The Ethel glycol goes on the exhaust manifold when the thing overheats from a bad thermostat and that can cause an explosion but first it causes a stink and then the fire goes into the engine and then works through the whole RV I’ve seen it happen it’s awful and there’s been lots of write ups on it people you must change your thermostat on your regular intervals check with your dealer
It was indeed crazy how fast this thing went up. But I have heard the same thing about cars which have electrical issues that start a fire. There's time to safely get out but no time to save the rig.
The National Park Service has a good article about RV Fire Prevention. You can find it here - www.nps.gov/articles/p52-rv-fire-safety-101.htm
Just subscribed to your channel. I just got back into my plan to van dwell, and your reply to my comment on Carolyn's RV Life made me look you up.
D A Thanks for the sub! Much appreciated!

Must change the thermostat on the recommended Intervals. If that is neglected that too causes a lot of overheating and 🔥 fires 🔥
