I am hoping that in January the videos get much better, specifically the audio and the lighting on the writing samples. But thank you. This video is from my first year when I was working on how do make a production schedule that can easily make a video every day.
If you are curious, I wrote to Diamine to ask about Asa Blue. Here is the response I got from Christine Joynson, Director of Diamine Specialty Inks, Ltd.: The name Asa Blue came from a young entertainer from Liverpool called Asa Murphy who was on a Mediterranean cruise early 2000! We were looking for a name for our new blue ink and……being the romantic I am…….Asa Blue was decided upon….and yes we really enjoyed the cruise!
@@wnJhntn I like the sport... I have and frequently use my Brass Sport. I like the extra weight in my pocket. And the metal sport pens are worth the money.
Blues are tough, I don't get excited about most. I agree with you this is "just blue." I personally like Noodler's Liberty's Elysium. Apart from that, I use Diamine Skull & Roses, which is a saturated almost Navy blue with tons of red-purple sheen. After that, it's blue-blacks...
I say just blue because I prefer brown as my main ink color. I think I'm not as excited about blue because it is the color ink I used most in my life... before fountain pens.
My friend you are making a great job with your videos but I see few subscribers and few viewers. If I were you I will try to work on "marketing" too, I mean tags, descriptions, youtube rules and advices etc. Please work on how to give more visibility to your channel. I do not want to sell you anything I am not selling visibility I just would like to see your channel to prosper more. Wish you success and thanks for your videos.
Thank you but instead of paying for marketing I will keep this just for fun. I know it will take a very long time to grow but to be honest I am shocked anyone is subscribed or watching even now. This is just for fun, I'm not worried about ever being a big channel.
@@AnInkGuy I understand you. Just think also that many people would find your videos interesting IF or WHEN they would find your channel. You deserve more and succes and more people deserve to know your videos. Forget about paying anyone to increase visibility instead of paying other people just try to study, try, self learn...search for information. You can do it without spending money (just time). I recently realized how to find comments I haven't answered, I really think if you take the time to comment to me you deserve an answer. random sampling can be fun, but at this point I cannot do it. I have tried to many inks, and will likely get something I have tried.
I can't think of a Diamine ink that is especially water proof if that is a concern for you, not to say they won't work at the writing lasting getting wet. I don't normally half much concern about water resistance. for not taking I like using complementary colors I will try to keep a short list that can be changed around some: Black Diamine Onyx Blue Diamine Tudor Blue Green Diamine Emerald Orange Diamine Pumpkin Red Diamine Oriental Red Purple Diamine Amazing Amethyst A bunch of these can be put together in pairs for not taking. Many people don't seem to use many browns... for a good distinctive brown I would go with Diamine Sepia. None of these are water proof. If that is important to you take a look at the De Atramentis Document series of inks. They are also inexpensive.
@@spideyboy1922 I don't have that ink and am currently very back logged, but I will loo at getting it and getting it reviewed. It will just be a while before I get to it.

That is all a really cool back story... I know Asa was a Jewish name. But the oink being named for a specific person is really cool.

@@vecchiaguardiastilografica I do some research on how to do the info for the video better.
Thank you for the encouragement.
Can you please tell sir if this ink fades in 3-4 months? Like fade enough not to be visible a bit?
I don't remember, it has been a few years since this review.
gotta make sure your sample size are large enough and they are random sample : )

Is diamine saphire blue ink is better for writing notes
Given the choice I would choose Diamine Sapphire Blue. Even though a lot of their writing is very close to each other.
