It’s helpful! Thank you so much! Mine was blinking all four, after connecting jumper between j1 terminals and pressing test button in same time it started getting charge. 😊
Thank you very much! Had a dead one for a year. Still had solid voltage, wouldnt charge. Was able to reset and have it on the charger at the moment. Will follow up tomorrow with the results.
Checked back on it today. Holding charge so far. Pretty sure one of the led's is dead from salt water. Operates in my impact drill. Time will tell. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video, unfortunately it didn't work for me, i jumper J1 and press the button before, after and during holding it for 30 secconds but still the same, voltage is there at the main post in the base of the board but the ground terminal is not working at the output, any other advice???
When resetting, I get the four green lights going off in sequence (running). Getting 16 volts at post. Remove lights remain and stiil have 16 volts. Push test button , light 1 flasshes then stops and volts go back to 0.05. Any ideas?
I have this same result, lights run in sequence from position one to position four. I have once cell at 2.5v, one at 3v and the rrst at about 3.5v. I think it may just be toast. Somehow I had left my battery in the charger base while unplugged. Barely a year old but I am guessing thats the cause and its dead now. No other videos showing how to trick the charger into charging it result in anything either.
I am also having the same exact result. Did you find any way to fix it for this scenario? It's like it resets it, but then as soon as the press the button again it puts it back into an error state.
Grab a qtip and dip a bit of alcohol on it or alcohol wipe and clean up your board. You'll get more life out of it, if the circuits are blocked at all it won't work right or at all too.
Funny you are calling people stupid, do you mean vertical dummy??? Virtual is a good adjective for your common sense, really hard to hold a phone sideways and record while using your free hand to point, what did you not understand from the verbal explanation and you clearly can see the J terminals he spoke of, why don't you tell the guy thank you for saving you money instead of bitching about it.
Thanks 2:27 those J1 holes are tiny. are you actually going into the hole or just touching them? My battery does not even return any voltage. I tried to jump start it with 18v but did nothing.
What a great public service, reset my dried 4ah battery good as new thanks to you!
Great to hear!
Thank you so much. This was a perfect tutorial to fix the 4 flashing lights.
Glad it helped!

Awesome, totally worked for me after getting the voltage with another battery as many videos show.
I should mention this is for the pbp005 battery I think?
Glad to help

Check to make sure your connections arent broken… fixed a buddies, when i tore it apart, the connection plate on ground side was broke in 2
Apologies if this may be a stupid question, but what is the guage of the jumper wire?
This is why youtube is great. DIY'ers helping each other out. TY
Glad to hear

Hi, wanted to know if you jumped the two small holes to reset bms. It was hard for me to tell on the video? Thanks for any info.
Yes… you have to jump the two small holes at j1… while holding the battery test button… you should see lights 2 and 4 flash and the it should reset
This video is gold! Thank you so much for putting this together. This video answered so many questions I had about building a computer.
Lmao glad u liked!
You legend worked perfectly… my battery got wet and started flashing 4 lights but this fixed it now back and working
Glad it worked
I have the same battery , with the same problem, followed your instruction, but still have 4 blinking green lights. any idea?
I would make sure your voltage is up to atleast 18v first
While you doing the short circuit, press the button , that worked for me 😁
This fixed my battery issue! Thanks
You're welcome! Glad it worked for you
thanks , using the jumper did the trick
Great… glad it worked
Worked perfectly. Thanks!
You're welcome! Glad it worked for you
Worked like a charm. You're the best, thank you!!!
Glad it worked!!! Thanks for comments

Thanks for the tip
What if the lights are blinking constantly?
Worked good, thanks 😁
You're welcome! Glad it worked for you
I have mine where the four lights are at low voltage but solid unable to reset
You might have to boost your battery with another battery first
i dont have that part on my 4ah 18v
What part would that be?
Thanks!
No prob
Didn't work for me. LEDs lit up in sequence over and over. Still won't charge. Thank you anyway.
Mine is doing the same thing. Haven't tried this method yet but I will report back
Did you get it working?
Only stupid people record videos in Portrait.
Smart people video in Landscape which means you turn the phone camera horizontally NOT VIRTUALLY...
