I was thinking the same, although I admire this poster for the video and tab he plays nothing like SH, no dynamics or attack and lots of missing notes...
There are many ways to play this song. For folks like me with small hands i found playing it on A 5th fret is much more comfortable and easier to hit the notes. Either way both sound awe.
Great, fantastic what more can I say...just keep up this awesome channel and dont stop, your channel help to people like me, to play better.steve harris is a great bassplayer, ...ah Ive got a song called tayra tara or taya tara, I was listening your riffs of bass and me parecio genial, creo q con una cancion asi, uno puede practicar, soltura de movimiento en los dedos, rapidez, afinar oido y tecnicas, si puedes escuchala, ahi te la dejo, mientras tanto sigue, bro y muchos exitos, viva el funk, y arriba los bajistas, q ponen el feeling y el groove en las canciones, bye
It's definitely not a metal or at all a Maiden-esque tone, but I didn't spend much time on trying to make it sound that way. I intend these videos to be note tutorials, definitely not tone tutorials. I usually leave out any pedal effects from my videos as well. I find that tone and effects are very personal and subjective, while there definitely are right/wrong notes, so that's where I'm trying to focus. All the same, sorry the (admittedly, pretty neutral) tone on this one didn't do it for ya.
Something wasn't quite right o my ear and in fact you played almost all the song with open strings and close to the neck, which Steve absolutely doesn't... You need that extra low-end from the thicker strings played on the higher portion of the fretboard
From the beginning. He used a ton of triplets and they always played the guitar and bass off each other. Bass players rarely are key song writers, one of the reasons for Iron Maiden's unique sound.
Excelente trabajo, pero veo que en algunas partes la partitura es erronea y no cuadra con la canción, además creo que iria mejor con semicorcheas y no con corcheas, sobre eso todo excelene crack!
Not sure where you got this bass tab, but it's wrong. Watch any live Aces High video and Steve is playing at the 7th fret, not the 2nd. Not to mention he does not do hammer-ons at all in the song. I've seen many players make this mistake during the verse. Steve lets the note ring briefly before following up with some doubles. I've seen Iron Maiden live 8 times and he doesn't do hammer-ons during the song.
close but no sigar: cords are played with the wrong (finger)style...3strokes down with the first 3 fingers(imr-finger) and only a down stroke(vision a flamengo player downstroke with 3fingers in sequence) D-string..he does a hammer on between the notes...listen to it @ life after death lp. Overall not bad mate not bad...i think Harris will be pleased
Basses High!!!
I like this way better than all the other tabs I found. Love your playing. Thanks.
Nice work dude. Steve Harris doesn't like opens though.
All the open notes of this song could be replaced to another in different string

@@messeswithbassesbassguitar9060 This is a pretty good rendition. Steve Harris may be 'dynamic', but he is also really messy.
yep i had to transcribe them in my head to the right frets, but still the same notes so you can kinda get away with it
@@nick_camilliI usually play it D E on the A string instead of opens
One of my favorite Maiden songs! Well done!!
Steve Harris IS metal. This is epic. I specifically looked this up after listening to the song. Excellent job my friend! 🤘

Brutal Tone!

BennyTheBassman dude he said the tone was good wdym
Yeah i think by brutal he meant good. It sounds soft and dynamic if that makes any sense...im not schooled in musical jargon.
GOOD Sound!

Great 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Steve Bass rythm seems unorthodox to me , thats why he sounds so unique....

Weird thing is to keep the riffs with the firsts string and use them open.
