How I Organise my Life ☀️ Weekly Reset

  • You guys have been asking for an updated weekly reset so here we are! In this video I go in-depth on my weekly reset. I feel like by this stage it's something I've done for so long that I forget that other people don't know the terms that I use or don't understand why I do certain things, so if there's anything unclear in this video please let me know! I get lots of questions about my weekly reset and how I organise, so I chucked together a little mini guide below that might help while watching this video :)
    Programs I use:
    Notion
    Things 3
    Google Keep
--- Ps, this video was pre-recorded way before the current state of the world. I'm staying off social media as much as possible, wishing you all safety and sending all of the love your way.
    Some GTD word definitions:
☀️ Next actions: Anything that you can do in one sitting, really. Usually not a 'multi-step' task. e.g. Put WD40 on shed lock, Order cupcakes from Cupcakes4u.
☀️ Projects: Any objective that requires more than one action to complete as a project e.g. Redesign my office, Declutter my Life
    A few q's I know I might get:
☀️ Why do you use Things, Google Keep + Notion?
Google Keep and Things are 'inboxes'. Google keep works with images and shows helpful cards to store links - I could probably at some point move everything from Keep to Notion at some point though. Things 3 is really quick and easy as a quick capture tool. (quick capture just means it takes as few steps as possible to capture something in it - like a to do, or an idea)
Notion opens too slowly on my phone to capture. In an ideal world, Notion would be where I capture all of my random thoughts, but right now it's a little too slow to start up on mobile. I wanted something instant.
☀️ How do projects and next actions work together?
Your projects list is basically just a 'trigger list' of its own - a list of the bigger things you're looking to accomplish. You just check your projects list and creating next actions for each project you have ongoing on a weekly basis so that you never don't complete a project. For example, I had a 'teeth' project, and every week I'd check my projects list, see the 'teeth' project, and chuck next actions like 'call orthodontist' 'book in scan' etc on my next actions list.
The only thing I don't treat as projects are my main goals in The Life Map, because they go in to my 'weekly goals' rather than just my next actions (prioritiess!!).
☀️ Why did you stop using Things?
I LOVE things, but I was over so many different apps to manage everything in my life. I wanted a place where I could manage my business + personal life all in one. Things IS a better to do manager, but that's all it can do, and I needed somewhere to manage my content too - Notion.
☀️ Why did you stop using Asana?
Notion can do what Asana can do for me but better, so I made the switch.
☀️ Is this David Allens weekly review?
Yaaas we stan D Allen. It's the weekly review with my own add ons. I don't really know why I called it the weekly reset, it vibed with me n' it stuck.

This video was pre-recorded a few weeks ago - but I'm wishing you all safety and sending all of the love your way. xoxo I'm trying to stay off of social media as much as I can for my mental health, practicing social distancing and lots of good hygiene n' hand washing. I hope you and your families are safe and well and that you're able to get some self care in to your days in these crazy times. Lots of love to you all ❤️❤️

I’d love to see a video from you related to the impact of Covid-19 - nothing super serious, but maybe something like how to deal with a huge change in routine, importance of logging off, how to keep goals in place when there’s covid-19 updates keeping anxiety going, etc. Any sense of normalcy is hard to keep right now! Love your vids.

Dear Muchelle, thank you so much for your hard work and inspiration!
You really do help me a lot.
Thanks to you I started to think how to try and live my life intentionally.
I try and set goals for myself, I strive to plan my every other day and week.
Yes I do fail from time to time. It's hard to reset my life at once - it's a big journey.
But I'm grateful for your very helpful input. For all the things you share - they really and truly inspirational and helpful.
I realized that my life has become more meaningful, that my days aren't the same anymore.
I realized that I can do more. That I can achieve more, that I am worthy, that I deserve more.
Your ideas deserve to conquer the world. I wish you channel even bigger and bigger growth. You do deserve it.
Btw - I really like your aesthetics. The way you design your channel, your Instagram, your interior. I like your style - clothing and make up. You are a very beautiful girl! And everything that surrounds you is a very pleasing sight.
And again - thank you. Just thank you for your hard work and your inspiration!

Great video! I noticed you mentioned different ways of categorizing to-do lists, such as emotions or context. Can you make a specific video about categorizing to-do lists, please? I normally have a big to-do list and I find myself toggling between different types of to-dos and I fail to get everything done throughout the day. Also, can you discuss trigger lists and how we can get inspiration to make our own. I know you mentioned the GTD book which I’m currently reading, but it would be great if you can go into detail about how to make a personalized lIst. Thank in advance for the video/advice! You are so inspirational! 🥰

I absolutely love your content! I think our minds work in the same way in a lot of respect. I would love to know more about how you categorize your to do’s and brainstorm lists! I started to do similarly, but could use some good ideas (like what are the actual labels) I also ordered David Allen’s book, but could not read it fully yet - I find his language is a bit complicated (I am not a native speaker of English), which discouraged me from reading the whole thing. Your interpretation of it sounds more down-to-earth, I’d love to know more about the topic (maybe you have already created videos on this topic?) Thank you in advance for your help and stay safe xx
