So much respect. Thank you for your honesty and humbleness, Mr. Joseph. Just lost my Pops last November. He could have been a poet/writer. Wish we had more time to mend our relationship.

May God continue to guide all of us. We are all lost at times. It's vessels like you that help show us the way.

I watch this show for this very reason. What drew me to it was her being willing to talk to people who society often is afraid of or have a negative opinion about and give them a chance share their story.

That’s beautiful. I was an addict for 11 years and it was hard. What I realised I needed was to learn to love, like, and value myself and this life. For all the times I nearly died and I know God intervened. Seriously from suicide attempts, to drugs overheating my body and almost killing me to the times I just missed a plane or cancelled a holiday where the plane crashed or Bali bombing happened I know that was God keeping me here on this earth for a reason. Now I’m sober for 10 years and I have peace and I have love. It’s never too late to turn your life around you just have to find what it is that will inspire you enough to change your life. Such a beautiful and inspiring story. Such a sweet man.

Your Mum is watching over her family & I know how proud she is of you, one day she will tell you herself but I just thought I'd say it. Thank you again Kelly for sharing these incredible stories with these inspirational people, I understand why you got upset as I have felt like that before when we give up then the World would be an even darker place. You are a positive light in this darkness, you help so many people because you are humble, kind, caring, ect. I love that you use your platform to help people like this wonderful man, I love that you believe in people as everyone deserves a chance, you truly are a wonderful person Kelly thank you for helping Joseph keep following his dreams 💛

Kelly this just warms my heart, made me cry too (in a good way) that you used your platform to let Joseph tell his story because this is exactly what happens when people do not help people in need. Joseph needed help when he had is issues and if someone would have helped him he probably would not have had to spend almost half his life in prison. This man is just so humble with a great heart and he could have just taken a path that could have taken his life but he stood strong and finally someone like the Salvation Army took him in and now look at this man.....AWESOME‼️. I wish him the best of luck going forward and my prayers for him will always be said‼️. Thank you soooooo much for this awe inspiring story Kelly and also for the gift you gave to him to help further his education. This man has suffered enough and hopefully by airing this it will help others like him‼️❤️

✌️💙☯️🤝 This was really beautiful to watch.... I was homeless for 3 years after my family kicked me out after coming out of the closet at 16 years old, in 2001. I ended up in prison for 2 years because of stealing stuff to try and resell so I could have a hotel room to sleep in sometimes and food to eat... Prison is no joke and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.... That said, I belonged in prison because I was stealing. This man should have never been in prison in the first place. He had a drug problem. Not a criminal problem. It hurts my stomach knowing this man lost 3 decades of his life sitting in a prison when he should have been in a rehab getting the help that he needed. Maybe even in time for his mother to see this turn around. The system is garbage and there needs to be a new way of "dealing" with people who have drug problems. Happy to see this man has got to where he is today and if I could hug him, I would. 💜

@@oceanairboy Blood family isn't always the only family we have or need, you should never be ashamed of who you are or who you love & I'm sorry your 'family' couldn't accept your true self. I am glad you are doing okay now Jason & just remember our pasts don't define us we all make mistakes but we can better ourselves each day, you were just trying to survive & you regret what you did. It is the ones who don't try to change that make it difficult for everyone else, there are a lot of negative people in the World but there are also positive people who are trying to make a difference. I am proud of you for turning your life around & I'm glad to hear you're doing better today, each day is a journey but as long as we stay on the right side of the path we can change the World 💛

Damm... This hit me... I've had such a hard time forgiving some people in my life, and set to stone that they will never change... It's so hard to trust people after they've hurt you so many times, and even our hearts become stone to forgive.

I love Kelly's show, including her UA-cam video segments, but Joseph Valadez's story is one of my top favourite stories, equally next to 4-year old Léo Vauclare's story . Leo suffers from a devastatingly rare & incurable genetic neurological disorder ("INAD") that diminishes his physical & mental skills, like walking & speaking; but to make it even harder for Leo & his parents, is the fact that INAD is also diminishing Leo's life - he may not survive longer than 5 yrs. If you missed that video, here's the link to Leo's story posted on April 19, 2021 at ua-cam.com/video/y-QTDVWNUFg/v-deo.html. Be sooo prepared to cry...😭😭😭😭

Just in case anyone reading your comment wants to help spread awareness, I also love Kellys Show for helping to highlight these inspirational stories so proud of Joseph 💛

Sobbing with y'all. I believe in this man. He's truly an inspiration. This is a perfect example as to why our "rehabilitation system" needs to change. It's all about punishment and not at all about rehabilitation. I have personally witnessed the justice system fail people over and over who just needed help. SO MANY who just needed resources to change and a support system in place to help them through the process of reentering society. People fail. People make mistakes. People have deep seated issues thst have never been dealt with. These people just need help. How can we, as a "civilized society", turn our backs on our brothers and sisters out there who simply need us? It's not right. It has to change! Prayers, love, and respect to this man for getting himself out of the cycle, for breaking those chains. The amount of strength, courage and determination he must within him is utterly astounding. And, I know as a mama myself, his mom never gave up hope and she can see what great things her baby boy is doing right now. I believe it to my core. Whew. Things have to change, guys. And we've got to change them.
