So what were the differences? You said there were some but didn't cover what they were. I've been thinking about trying a trials bike for trail riding.
I know your not interested in trials competition however it’s the skills that you get from practicing competition level trials that really benefit enduro riding. Not at all saying get into competition just get together with some skilled trials riders and have them give you an intro to the basics of how to ride so your able to practice the correct riding techniques. And love all your videos, keep them coming!
I'm a competitive trials rider and HS and enduro racer. As others have said, you need to get with experienced trials riders, or take a trials class like Ryan Young puts on. You are riding your trials bike, like an enduro bike. What you need to do is learn how to ride your enduro bike, like a trials bike. You will learn the basics of trials and proper technique to get up and over obstacles. Plus I find as an enduro racer, with my trials background I can pick and ride lines that regular dirt bike guys don't see. And who knows you might even want to enter a few local trials for fun. Much lower key, more friendly than a lot of "racing" atmospheres. Always enjoy the vids!
@@neumeisteranimalhospital2627 Both replies echo my thoughts. Despite that being a technical "trail" it should not be such hard work on a trials bike, a wee appetiser for bigger challenges. Training with other riders speeds up progress immensely. That's why I'm rubbish, no other trials riders in my neck of the woods.
@@dolphin-studio Trials techniques will work perfectly on a CRF. Practising on a trials bike has enabled me to tame my CRM 250r 2t which is an angry pig in the bush. Just frightens me more on big obstacles and rooted hill climbs. It like to spit me off.
Wow so many of you fellow UA-camrz following my lead. Good on you for finally joining the dark side and getting a trials bike. Next thing we know you'll be on an electric trials bike and riding in secret locations.
I tried to get into some technical stuff yesterday with my 500 and it was just too much. There were a ton of bees too which made it unpleasant so I just said fuck it and turned around. I want to get a smaller bike and go ride technical sections.
Another good vid. Always worth watching. I assume you have less experience /hours on a trials bike, so the same amount of dabs should mean the trials bike is easier. for downhill. If you had the same hours on a trials bike you would have had less dabs . Would be interesting to know...did you feel more confident downhill on the trials bike?
I have mountain biked trails this breathing that hard. I am alot older now looking into trials bike for a less strenous way to trail ride. Am i way off?
Sorry i know this question isnt directly related to this video but i would love your feed back regardless. Im torn between a spark arrestor end cap or an fmf turbine core muffler for my 2018 ktm 300 xcw. Obviously there is a big price difference. 100 dollars compared to 230 for the muffler. However im seeing negative reviews regarding the enduro engineering end cap clogging up quickly and causing performance issues and possibly overheating due to restriction. Would u be able to make a video covering this issue? Doing a product test or a side by side comparison ?
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who huffs and puffs on go pro vids. Great video!!

Awesome, love the trials content and hope tearing your ACL hasn't turned you off still riding these great little bikes.
in few months you will be bored in this trail and will start looking to left and right. You will have fun in places you never thinked before.

Never heard you breathing like that before, trials bikes are hard work because you end up in places you usually just look at.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋
4:22 you went British for a second lol

Now that’s a trail!
Downhill is so fun on them bikes that’s one of my favorite things to do on my trials is downhill it.

Props for riding that terrain!
Trials riding is a great cross training for dirt riding...and BTW that was an ass kicker of a trail...
Very impressive. What range can you get on that Trails 250?
What do you do if you brake down? Do you have some sort of recovery side by side??

Me too. I'm 69 now and have an 09' KTM 250 XC. Feet up, I love it but it's like riding a 6' ladder.
Kyle, can you message me on where to get to this trail or where it is?
Are you planning a review on the GasGas EC 250/300 2019??

This looks fun.. I guess going slower makes you want up your technical skills
Damn that fan is loud coming towards the end of the video
Yeah any video of you tearing your ACL?
Love the channel Kyle! You need to relax and stop holding your breath. No more death grip :-) Great fun though, good job!
