@smokey2459 not at all. I still see Sequoias like mine going for the same sort of price. Always amazes me because they can last such a long time. I removed the rear and middle seats in mine and it's like a pick up truck but better. I have lost count of the times I have slept in the back saving on motel rooms. And the amount of stuff you can get back there is amazing, plus it's great in the snow and fantastic for towing. Intend to keep for as long as possible.

It's a breath of fresh air after owning a 2005 Jeep GC v8 with 5 previous owners lmao. What a nightmare. It seemed like it perpetually had problems from the moment I bought it. Overheating, thrown rods, bad fuel injectors, 4WD option wasn't working, etc.

I just spent several grand refurbishing my 2008 5.7L sequoia with 219k trouble free miles.
New all over paint. New rear wiper motor. New third brake light. New headlamps. New bumper. New $900 touch screen radio. New door speakers. New struts and shocks. New windshield. New serpentine belt. New idler pulley. New tensioner. New OEM air intake. New all weather cargo mat. Straight piped from the cats back.
    Still runs like new.
Much better than what’s available on the market now.

Hello, I have the same car and I have problems with the Transmission, the gears don't shift it's stuck on the 3rd gear. the computer says code P0761-Shift
    Solenoid "C"
    Performance/Stuck
Off. I tried everything. I change the Solenoids and the oil also the filter and even the Transmission ECU

I have same sequoia and a solenoid C & D issue as well but affecting 2nd gear. It only occurs in the mornings when vehicle is cold.. unfortunately I have to let it warm up for 5-10 minutes in the mornings in order for issue to not occur. Mechanic is telling me he's been seeing this issue with Sequoias and Tundras lately. He's also replaced the solenoids for several customers and issues continues.

1st gen had timing belt and prone to rust issues, still good cars. 2nd gen by 2010 Toyota pretty much worked out the kinks. Hard to go wrong, other than gas hounds. Mine gets 16 around town and 20 hwy.

This Sequoia is part of the old Toyota. New Toyota- it's all about charging $20k more for the same level of vehicle you got just 2-3 years ago, only it has a new engine with 2 fewer cylinders.
And if you want your V6- better get one of their bigger vehicles or be willing to jump over to Lexus. That's what it's all about now.

There's an 06' for sale around $5600 w/ just over 200k miles. Doesn't seem that bad of a deal. Kinda want at $5k, though. But if the vehicle is practically unkillable why not?
