Ive never had a problem with mine. I still have it. The drums are sick on it and it is very easy to use. It failed because of the original price and the name but it's solid man. I also have the mpc one and beatthang is alot easier to use.
It was just the hefty price tag and some poor reviews. The name was smart since it was designed for aspiring rap artists and not for classical pianists and violinists.
That's is it only failed cause it was like 14 hundred dollars when it came out and the name...rzas guitar center didn't do it any justice either...iv heard it buggs out while sequencing other gear but that's actually really common with mpcs and lots of other gear...I'd definitely use one

What happened to the Beat Thang? I bought the VST version when it first came out many years ago. EA Ski bought the hardware version of it and brought it out from storage and now is posting beats that he did with it on his UA-cam channel. Check it out. You should get in contact with him and see if you can revive this and make a new machine that will be the best. You never know???
Do they still seal this? They might need to upgrade the hardware/software because all of the big boys got some ill stuff- Ableton Push 2, MPC Touch, Maschine, etc.
Y'all could really sell this off the pitch wheel alone. Another thing...and y'all said it at the end WORKSTATION. I would advertise this as one. If you think about it you can make a beat on anything even a table but this does more than that apparently. Y'all can capitalize where the old MPC stand alone units left off which was just at midi. Well... the MPCx is out so now y'all have compete with that. If you put the words "standalone workstation" in your product name you'll sell units off of that also.

The sad thing is, this lil machine was a cool little box to have but they had NO pr what so ever and said so many stupid things it became a meme. If i found one on the cheap id buy it just to have, then ignore all their advertising and bs they did

I have one of these. It would have been alot better if they would have made it on the level of a groove box instead of just a drum machine. Drums a good but the sampled pianos, strings and bass are garbage. It needed a tone generator instead of sampled sounds.
