Consideration, considerable consideration, has to be given to how the American people and media would react to a military meltdown in the Middle East and how the reactions would favour Trump enough to give him a win in the Electoral College on November 5. That is a catastrophe that would have horrendous and very unpredictable, harmful implications for the future of democracy in the world - including in the USA, Europe and Israel.
