The Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.
The Yamaha RX100 was powered by an air-cooled, 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke motor that produced 11PS @ 7500rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox. The company also claimed a 0-60kmph time of 7.5 seconds. Furthermore, the Yamaha RX100 was not only reliable but affordable as well, making it accessible to many. The performance and reliability factor made it a winner in the eyes of enthusiasts. In fact, the Yamaha RX100 became one of India’s best-selling two-stroke machines, until it was replaced with the RX-G.
The part that makes us spring with joy are the rumours of Yamaha reviving the RX100, but with a four-stroke engine instead. However, our excitement levels have dimmed down as there has been no official confirmation from Yamaha as of yet. So, till we get a solid confirmation on its comeback, we can only wait and anticipate that the RX100 will once again revolutionise the Indian two-wheeler commuter segment. RX lover from Karnataka . The 3rd point is brake pads haven't worn yet yes! and you said that if there are any doubts which are the parts I installed on disc brake setup go watch previous Gladiator disc brake setup video and you stoped the bike and showed us how much gap is there between the pads and disc plate means how much it has got worn out and there was no gaps developed between those two parts and you also showed us there should not be any scratches on disc plate it has to be smooth next you said it will not easily get fad up and it will come more than 2 to 3 years that means depends on how you ride and you said that so now I ride aggressively hard acceleration and breaking will be stiff still it is not fading up then think if a person riding in 40,50,60km like Pappa or uncle then it will not get fad up easily it will come more than 10 years so these are the points that you exactly said in 3rd point.

3rd point has to be about BRAKE PADS...brake pads do have some life and span of usage. After some kms they tend to wear out and they need to be changed. In case of RX the change interval is very very long and it will last as long as 10 years if used smoothly. And the disc has to be smooth without any scars or dent lines. Hope this was accurate and brief @speedylio.

Tyre point was good👍🏼
I feel its better to upgrade the tyre along with disc set up if the tyre is worn. It's also beneficial if the tyre is changed to softer compound for street use.

Sir bol raha hu ki mera rx 100 me charging nahi ho raha hai kiya karu . Or jab charging chek kiya to garage ka lok bola ki gari picup me charge ho raha ha . Mathlap ki gari 70 -80 chal raha ha thabhi charge ho raha kiya fault hai .

@@SpeedyLio thanx alot.. actually I am having battery charge issue even after replacing RR unit. I have new 12V battery installed. I think I should convert from existing 6 V magnet coil to 12V. Isn't it?.

you can install. only use stock rim size

Sleeving is always hit or miss.
@@mjshaheed you mean the sleeve decrease the performance?
@@uvdhiman98 If the sleeves are not done properly, yes, it will reduce performance greatly. Pls check if all the ports are matched well.
