It’s honestly a very relaxing process! I used to watch a lot of Bob Ross and his approach inspired me a lot. Thank you for checking out the video dude!
I've been following you for a while on twitter. No idea you had a youtube channel. Your stuff is awesome! I love how 99% of horror artists have a super chill friend vibe
I’m glad it finally got out on your feed! For some reason Twitter doesn’t promote my links as much as my pieces 😭 either way thanks for watching man :)
Definitely! It’s a video I’ve been meaning to make for awhile. There are a lot of moving parts, so I’ve been thinking about breaking it up into multiple parts. It might be a month or two until that video, but it’s a great idea 💡
One thing I love about this video is when you talked about how you like to duplicate the art before continuing just in case something goes wrong. I made a art piece about a week ago and one of the things I did was try some weird distortion effect but I didn't like it but it was too late to completely restart so I decided to salvage it since I was already happy with the work I did up to that point. It's simple but effective
It really was such a huge game changer for me! Doing traditional art it can be hard to get out of being careful of mistakes, but it’s so liberating to make changes when you know there will be no consequences!
Dude thank you! I need to clean up the videos a little but I’m excited to put more work into the channel :) always honored to be called an inspiration as well, thank you 🙇
woah how cool you pop up in my recommended! my boyfriend is a huge fan of your art and introduced me to it! he even bought me a print from you last year! what a small world fr
Dude that’s awesome! I don’t know how the algo works here but I’m happy I reached you :) also thank you guys for supporting, I hope you love the print. I try to make them high quality!
Dude I’m glad it’s helping inspire your work! Starting off can be so challenging, but consistency in your practice and researching art you love is a great way to improve quickly. Good luck on your journey :)
honestly your work on twitter is ridicliously intimidating, while your youtube vids feel like "hello guys today im gonna make an absolute eldritch horror" yet they feel...calming?@@pitchcanker
Just listening to what you have to say is interesting!! Like i hopped in thinking you were gonna talk about just how to do horror. But you talked about the meaning, to canvas set up, and even boxing and clavicles???? You said great tips. Ive done art for years as just a side hobby and i do anime art. I just draw to draw without thought of what I'm trying to convey. Ive always wanted to test horror but with a style so drastically different from the cute art i create i usually struggle. So i hope it's ok i reference the way you do things in my private art sessions for practice and not to post lol.
Thank you so much! Listening back on this video I might do a more focused video just in making uncanny and disturbing art! You should definitely give horror a try, I find it’s actually one of the easier genres to get a grip on.
Watching this trying to figure out my own style of horror stuff and looked at my brother's blanket ajd realized how much i hate eyes and now im drawing it
Thank you for letting me know! It looks like my video must have gotten cut off during editing 😭 definitely need to double check before I post again tomorrow
@@pitchcanker no problem! You are doing amazing and I liked to hear your commentary, its nice to hear the thought process you always go trough. I recommend to just let the video play and watch it by yourself before uploading. It's usually what I did years ago. Keep it up. Ps: I'm so in love with your angel drawing. I want to have a signed piece so badly 💀
@@pitchcanker I recently uploaded a demo rendering of a single segment of a video and I was wondering how it was uploaded so fast. :D I only accidentally noticed it before publishing.
That part before the eyes were added and the mouth wasn't really defined.. I just got reminded that I had some strange really long nightmare just last night. It had these somewhat similar Giger-like humanoid creatures and some parasitic things in people. There was some sort of an apocalypse scenario with people fleeing and there was some refuge camp where I was with a bunch of others and there was some giant storm coming, like a storm that brings these creatures, and I remember a woman who was trying to escape with a giant inflatable dragon-balloon-thingy, then someone said "She won't get out, the wind is going to rip her out," as of.. rip the cable out from the balloon that held her, and then it happened and she fell from hundreds of meters high and disappeared in the storm clouds. And.. I'm not sure if there were these humanoid creatures that had a giant hole instead of a face, maybe it's just my brain adding it after seeing the creature in the video, but I'm fairly sure that I saw some similar things.
This is AMAZING, huge fan, not able to purchase your art YET, but this is amazing content. Only a suggestion> the audio is broken and I can only hear in the right channel of my headphones. Aside from that, I learned a lot :D tnak you for uploading
Hey thank you so much! I actually had a few issues with this video (it also cuts off at the end 😩) but I’m working on some improvements for tomorrow. Thank you for watching!
Really great and insightful video! Also, if you don't mind me asking, what brushes did you use for this? Do you have any other tips when starting horror art since it is something I'm interested in doing?
Thank you! I mostly use studio pen, inka, turpentine, and a selection of brushes I made myself (I have them for download on my patreon). I’ll be making a lot more videos this week and small tips to help with horror art :)
@@pitchcanker I think something good would be inspiration, shading style, building blocks of horror, and warping something 'normal' into something terrifying
There was a time, or phase I guess, where I really wanted to try drawing scary art. But my monsters ended up having scary postures, but with cute fluffy faces 😂 I never knew why.
Hey idk if you will get this but I got a couple questions that idk if you said or not but what's the app name, where can I download it, and what device is recommended?
Great video! Hooked the whole time love this style of talking through the process and showing the experience you’ve gained and how and why you make decisions regarding what does and doesn’t stay🤍❤️

Strangely relaxing watching something so horrifying being created. Love your work dude.
It’s honestly a very relaxing process! I used to watch a lot of Bob Ross and his approach inspired me a lot. Thank you for checking out the video dude!
Black for eerie, red for aggression, white for stunning.
May i ask what you mean by stunning??
It has a really pure quality! Something bright that drags the eye to it immediately. I think of it kind of like a flash of light.
Completely and utterly terrifying.
Beautiful work 🙌👏

I think I’ve fixed it in my current videos 😭
fr
your drawings are amazing, i really like the the black, white and red pallete
i feel like they would make some really cool tattoos tho
I’ve actually had a lot of people get tattoos of the work! Maybe I’ll make a video about it!
I love hearing you be pleased with yourself when you do something good. 😂 I do the same and now I don't feel bad for doing it!
You shouldn’t feel bad! When something goes right I can’t help myself 😂
Can you make a video about the business side of being an artist? Like running your shop, making merch and prints, shipping packages etc.
Definitely! It’s a video I’ve been meaning to make for awhile. There are a lot of moving parts, so I’ve been thinking about breaking it up into multiple parts. It might be a month or two until that video, but it’s a great idea 💡
A thing I think about a lot when I see a hole instead of a face is dorcelessness.
that emotion chart is so cool
Haha yes@@pitchcanker

Oh man I figured out how to fix that and forgot to implement it the past two videos, thank you for letting me know 😂
All art and that includes that which disturbs us is important to see and learn
I love your art it helps me to be more creative myself by encouraging me to do what I think I should not with confidence that I should
You inspire me to do such a amazing art fr you thank you so much 🙏
Dude ofc thank you so much for supporting
Thanks man! I’ve been trying to find a way to blend in creepy way. You’re the most helpful artist i’ve seen for scary art
Two uploads in two days? You're an hard working man!

wait the vid cuts off before the piece is finished, don't get to see the shadow (I assume that's an accident). still neat though!
