    Thank you, great video!! I did not know that dogwoods will grow well with lots of big trees around them. I am excited now, because that’s exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you for explaining the two major types of dogwood trees and describing the varietals

    My favorite cultivar is 'Satomi' but I think i will also be getting the 'Venus'; OH! and I didnt even know there were american dogwoods up that high I thought it was just the south varieties very insightful thank you! :)

    how to recognise which Cousa dogwood is edible ? If they are not edible are they poisons

    Plant Native if you can only plant one.

    Can a pink flowering dogwood be hard pruned and come back? It's tall and thin with not many flowers and not many branches. I don't want to give up on it. Zone 6 Toronto area.

      Yes, but youre gonna want it to be in a full sun condition so that it can bounce back with multiple branches, otherwise prune the old stems and leave it alone for about 2 years.

    Is full hot all day colorado sun good or bad for dogwood trees ?

      Good, and if your landscape gets lots of snow it shouldnt even need that much watering during the hot summer days.
