Marek's presuppositions should not just be granted, but he should be required to prove each of them strictly and precisely from Scripture. Mechanics and ethics/justice are 2 different things. Example: You don't get to just assert that mechanical questions (oil changes) necessitate ethical and judicial changes. You don't get to just assert that you have to know the heart attitude of people or their customs to have a righteous standard of justice. This must be demonstrated precisely and strictly from the Bible alone. Justice doesn't coincide with what we think we are allowed to do. Justice isn't defined by pragmatic ideas. The two are diametrically opposed. Judges CAN oppress people. Historic figures are important but infinitely less authoritative than Scripture. And they are fallible, Scripture is not. I always see a huge level of theological presuppositions derived outside of the Bible and imported in whenever I hear from natural law guys.
You misunderstand. Of course you don't need what you mention in order to have a righteous STANDARD of justice. That wasn't the claim. The claim is that accommodation is needed in order to apply that standard of justice to a particular people. See Calvin's institutes on this.
The Bible doesn’t need to say God’s perfect law and His perfect applications of them in the case laws apply in Indiana in 2024, any more than the Bible has to list out the names of everyone who is covered by the blood of Christ and is saved. All the Bible has to say is “whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life.” Then each individual can examine themselves: do I believe? If the answer is:yes! Then that person is saved. That individual’s name does not have to listed. In the same way, God’s law is applicable to every society, magistrate, and jurisdiction. The law simply does not need to be “tailor-made” to a particular time and place, utilizing man-made legislation. Non-legislative theonomy can be used by men to apply justice to individuals in any society, just as the biblical gospel of Christ can be preached by men to apply mercy to individuals in any society. Hope that made sense 😊
The only reason I would watch another debate with Marekis to see if he has developed the art of listening yet.
As I mentioned elsewhere, respect to Marek for joining me and being an exceptional guest. Hoping for more interactions!
Very good debate
Thanks for listening!
Awesome discussion!
Good video!

Also, penalties are a different category than laws. At most, the penalties are a distinct sucategory to evaluate in isolation from the crime/law.
Good insight. Thanks for commenting!
@@ChrisHume1689 Thank you, brother. Keep fighting the good fight.

God bless you brother. The several times I've come up to Michigan to preach or go to mills I have hoped to meet you! Hopefully sometime.

Marek is blind, shame. All of this hinges on having qualified leaders, men who fear God.
