He considers MUSIC as ONE entity (NO OTHER music director could think in that realm; he is on a different plane altogether)! That is why we mortals are able to relish such timeless classics and wonder how he combines multiple genres so seamlessly and yet make it sound cohesive as if it is the norm. I suggest you react to a masterpiece by Raaja Sir called "Thumbi Vaa". The same composition exists in Tamil , Telugu and Hindi but the original piece was in Malayalam sung by S Janaki who sang this song. Great bass lines in that song as well. Great song with very short gaps for breath but this legendary singer nailed that song. Please react to that.

Everyone kind of put him in a box saying oh Bharatiraja is only good for village movies, he doesn't know anything about making a movie that happens in the city or the modern progressive culture. In fact they made low key fun of him saying oh look, another village movie by Bharathiraja, then he said he can direct modernized movies too, and they laughed at him saying what the hell does he know about making modern movies with city characters.. So it was a dare. Then he dropped his village movies, and directed this the next year, the first tamil movie to have a woman in bikini, English speaking characters, club life scenes, hotels, hookers everything else in a murder mystery thriller leading Kamal Haasan. Look up Bharathiraja, he was the director that Maniratam badly wanted to work as an intern for, but got turned down.
One of the girl in this song Nisha Noor died of aids.She was 44 years at the time of her death.She was forced into prostitution by a guy called mohan (producer)'He squeezed her as much as possible.Made money out of her body and when he was done he just dumped her.She lost all her money.her family disowned her.She used to live in the streets of a dargha Nagoor i guess) begging for food.From being such a popular actress to live on a street depending on others for food is really tragic.A NGO came to know about her.they picked her up and admitted her in a hospital where it was confirmed she had aids.She died in a few days.Its really a tragic story.She was so beautiful... But lost everything just because of the greed of a pimp....
