I'm a grandchild of a lighting director that works with GMA/ABSCBN. The industry is harsh pero grabe impact sa employees nila. Sobra silang magmahal ng trabaho. Totoo, ang sacrifice nila ay time sa family. My lolo now is 70+ years old pero kapag tinawag sya management for a project, go pa din sya. Ganon nila kamahal ang industriyang ito 🥰
Grabe naiyak ako kasi di ako umiyak nung namatay Papa ko. Umuwi ako galing Saudi at buong burol niya di ako umiyak. Di ko alam kung bakit pero nung bumalik na ako sa Saudi may isang araw na dun bumuhos luha ko. Nangingilid luha ko habang ang eecg sa patiente. At nung umuwi ako sa flat namin dun na ako nag breakdown. Tumawag ako sa nanay ko at umiiyak ako ng grabe. Ngayon bumalik na naman yung feeling. I'm so happy with this interview, I am a big fan of Direk Cathy since I became passionate in filmmaking in 2018, since I became aware of her works in Star Cinema, Direk Cathy is my stan in Philippine directors. 🤩❤️💯 Apart from looking up on how she worked on her successful films, I was teary-eyed by her stories on how she overcame the struggle of being a single mother knowing that her husband died many years ago. I can see and appreciate how strong she can be through her answers in this interview. I am also raised by a single mother, so apart from my admiration in film directing skills of Direk Cathy. I can totally relate dun sa sinabi ni Direk na God will give you an aid or something to get by. I was only 22 yrs old when my Mom passed away and I have no savings, my Dad doesn't have permanent work pero never kami nawalan ng pagkain sa hapag kainan. Totoo yung God will always provide basta you do your part at magtiwala.

I can totally relate dun sa sinabi ni Direk na God will give you an aid or something to get by. I was only 22 yrs old when my Mom passed away and I have no savings, my Dad doesn't have permanent work pero never kami nawalan ng pagkain sa hapag kainan. Totoo yung God will always provide basta you do your part at magtiwala.
I wanted this interview not to end. Thank you for another wonderful life lessons I learned today. I hope and pray that I can implement the lessons in my life.

Lahat ng sinabi nya tagos sa puso kooo😭 napaka humble, yung iba nga wala pang napapatunayn pero ang yabang na. Sya meron ng karapatan na maging proud pero still she never considered herself a successful. To watch someone with so much experience and passion is very moving especially you can see she is passionate to her craft but at the same time, a human and mother thriving for her children.
