His technique is flawless, his style is impetuous and his tying is ferocious.
It's 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure and 50% pain, and 100% reason to remember how to properly make a bale.
This video really helped me out! That’s the same machine we use at our local Stop and Shop and I’m learning how to make a bale and use the machine! Thanks for the informative video!
Give the man a break people. Those bale's weight up to 1000 lbs. I use it everyday at work.
Hello Kevin did you know who is the exports well the 11 OCC paper scrap ? I am from India ,here i have need OCC 11 kraft Paper scrap ,my what's app +91 990 99 19585
Customers still be like, "can we have some of those boxes? We're moving!"
I make 4 to 6 bales a day,thanks for the video.
I work at a grocery store as a porter aka janitor and one of my many many jobs is to make a bale, took me like a month to actually be able to make one by myself
Bro that’s exactly how I feel! I just started working at my local stop and shop as a porter and I am still lost on how to make a bale by myself 😭
When I make a bale I wrap the wire up then trough the 2 loops (the 1 I make and the original) then wrap down, I call it the double lock, if that makes sense
Baler? I hardly know her
i was always told put your wire in the top. Go in the loop tighten and wrap?
I used to use this machine back in New Jersey around 10 years ago.
I’m having trouble on how do I put the chains any tips
2:38 my fav part
Those bales weigh a fuck tonne. We use one in work due to the amount of cardboard we need to dispose of. Just got one for plastic too. The guy said the plastic bales can weigh around 250KG. And that machine is about half the size of the one in the video
Why do people feel they have a right to be so disrespectful online? Some of these comments…
The only thing I miss about working at Giant Eagle was using the cardboard baler.
ELY M. I work at walmart and our store has only one baler
- it is a Cram-a-lot, bigger than this one but still not enough - jammed or full all the time and there is nobody around who can make a bale... we go through at least 5 a day
Alex Tash same. I also work at Walmart, and we have one Cram-A-Lot baler. Luckily, it doesn’t jam much. We usually make around 2 bales a day. I often make bales myself because often no one else wants to, or no one else that knows how is around.
@@ELY3M do you have any tips for tieing the bale? mine feel liks they are too loose.
I always did every step right when baling, except for when it came to use a Big Joe to get it out of the baler, I would ALWAYS break the pallets....
Hey what if you start from the top of the bale with the wires? I know how to make too
Thanks a lot. I understood the basics. Now I just have to try it and see how it goes. Will keep you posted.
I’m learning this for target
There's a lot of things a cardboard baler can crush, like cardboard... soda cans... trash... child molesters, and probably plastic
Yeah these things are very heavy.. we crush them up and tie them up with at least 4 or 5 very strong wise and then we would dump it on a bell, store them all up and then a truck would come in take them away.
He wasn't even wearing gloves when tying it up.
I've never worn gloves for this. Eye protection is another story... Definitely use eye protection. It's easy to be careless and stab yourself in the eye with that sharp wire.
❤❤❤❤ Happy New Year
I have to use one at work and received very little training I'm worried I'm going to get hurt so I'm tryna learn how to use it properly if someone could direct me to a instructional video i would be grateful
it is common that people get little training. I was lucky to have a co-worker show me how to make a bale 10 years ago. might PTR website have the videos?
my advice is to write down brand name and model name of the baler at your work and try search google and youtube. it may help you to find videos you need.
Always use a heavy duty pallet as these things weigh 1,000 lbs. When tying off your steel wire, have the loop on the top(unlike this guy) and pull tight enough(doesn't have to be super tight) and bend the wire at the loop. Then make a noose spiral always left-to-right as this counteracts the spiral tie off of the loop. Wrap as tight as you can around the wire for as many passes as you can to ensure the wire won't unravel(at least-I'd say- 5 wraps, but I always wrap the wire around its self as many times as I can just to be safe). Then double/triple check that the chains are hooked on to the press for lifting; if you forget to do this then you're gonna have a hell of a time getting 1'000 lbs out of the compactor. Then set your heavy duty pallet as dead center as you can, don't use a regular pallet; it'll just snap into pieces. Then switch your control from "down" to "up". Press and the hold the button and wha lah, it'll fall right on your pallet. Then use your jack and take it to where ever the boss man/woman wants it. Hope this helps. PS don't be intimidated, this really is a simple piece of machinery.
Honestly the bale wires are too loose the bale could’ve been way better .!
@@giantleprechaun2350 yes otherwise it can snap or Folks who pick them up wont take em for risk of breaking while on tbe road
Happy New Year❤❤❤❤
teach me more how to used baler machine and compactor...
This is not a good tutorial because you cannot see the buttons (which have specific modes, like automatic up/down; or controlled up/down). Furthermore those states are not even explained.
I precisely come to youtube to find out about those things which are "not" obvious.
Please use eye protection and gloves when you make a bale it should be company policy
good job
Small bail
Yo. Soy. Isidro. Jg. Y quiero. Saber. Una. Máquina. De. Está.
Too bad Michael Scott couldn’t use it😔
Too loose. Fully compress the bail, then tie the wires with enough slack to get your hand behind them.
mrthebillman Does it really matter how loose or tight it is. I know the first time I did one of these I didn’t compress it but yet I was still able to get it on the pallet with no trouble. My supervisor still threw a fit for some reason saying that it didn’t look very nice.
Obviously not loose enough for the whole thing to fall apart. He still put it on the pallet with no problem
Yeah its loose cause your putting them flat and not let the machine mangle it together without breaking boxes up. I leave the ram down when theirs no more boxes and overnight so the bale is good and tight
I wonder what happens to it
gamingpineapple13 the cardboard bales get shipped to recyclers. The stores make money from recyclers.
gareth bale
my 99 year old grand ma is faster than this dude
that is ataucly short
so are people suppose to figure out what your doing
It's not fucking rocket science. I do this nearly everyday at work and it's easy as hell.
Kevin Frey the fucking point of this video is to teach people that have never done it, and this guy does a pretty shitty job. He doesn't even explain what he's doing. I know the basics from watching others do it, but I don't have a clue HOW it's done, and this video didn't explain anything.
@@CornerBoothGames title doesn't say how to and it's pretty obvious. Plus you shouldn't be learning this shit from UA-cam.
@@CornerBoothGames i don't think the point is to explain how to make one. If it was he would probably be using sign language.
is this guy drunk
13 minutes? ive done it in 4. step up your game chubster.
People who make bales are the real heroes
