I have a question that doesn't seem to be talked about too often. Does having a family and job (or two in my case) during my undergraduate time matter when applying? After high school I enlisted in the Army, so Im staring school a bit later than most. Furthermore, I have a wife and child. So, I asked the introductory question because my time is cut tremendously short, compared to classmates, when trying to study. I carry a moderately high GPA (3.5) and I attempt to maintain a productive study regime , but I feel it falls short to what I could maintain if I were a student with no kids, no job, and frankly, no responsibilities other than maintaining a GPA. So, to sum up my question, do the applicants' personal lives regarding work and family have any influence on the decision making process? Thank you for any clarification.
