Batwing Front Row POV Six Flags America Vekoma Flying Dutchman
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 вер 2024
- This is one of only two Flying Dutchman's currently operating around the world, the other being down at Carowinds with Nighthawk. Batwing used to have an exact clone located at Kings Island, but it was removed a couple years ago, making this a one of a kind layout!

Love the sound of the lift hill. Almost kinda sounds like a construction jackhammer lol

I LOVE this coaster. Its really great and the looping is by far the best element. It comes close to a Prezel Looping. Its very intense. I rode this 30 times in a row! Its really nice! I dont understand why there are only 2 of these coasters in the world.
RLLY ONLY 2?
I WENT ON THIS BEFORE MARLAND
@@crayonpayonmelononya6441Yep. The other is Nighthawk. There used to be three (Firehawk at King's Island) but they demolished it.
It actually ran for once? Crazy
Yea I’m just as surprised as you are
@@MatthewCofer These Flying Coasters are not known for their reliability or loading speed. That's for sure.
@@nikitajohnson7202 yea the Vekoma flying Dutchman’s loading times paired with SFA is a recipe for disaster
Last time I went it was closed
@@coasterreview5237 rip
LOVED this layout and ride. So unique, and much smoother than it looks.
Need Vekoma to make a modern version of the flying dutchman, I don’t see the last two lasting much longer and I don’t wanna lose this type of ride 😢
Did that already. That's what F.L.Y is.
@@lastone032085 It’s the same model, but it’s pretty much completely different from the original 3 coasters
@@jayminyoel7911 completely different trains and completely different track. Definitely not the same model. Similar rider experience though.
@@lastone032085 Rcdb says it is, although chances are they just put all of vekoma’s models in the Flying Dutchman model.
@@lastone032085 It doesn’t have the whole flipping on your back for a while thing which was really unique and fun
This is my favorite ride in the park. Very underrated.
Same
I still think the funny part about this coaster is that it’s secluded from everything else, and the supports/footers were clearly not made for this plot of land. Definitely shows how much Six Flags cared when they could just “make things work” for their parks.
This just makes me realize how much I miss Firehawk at Kings Island.
I just saw this on insta reels and had to check it out on YT ... ur the only one who posted the exact POV of what our eyes would see. Thanks
the ride looks cool on the pov even though I haven't heard great things.
Edit: I guess I might be thinking of nighthawk.
one more thing I said I hadn't heard great things because Sarah said she didn't like it multiple times. I have not personally ridden it.
Firehawk was one of my favorites at Kings Island, can't imagine this would be much worse
I rode it once probably 16+ years ago. It sucked then. Once was enough. Being on your back on that lift hill on a bright sunny day is painful. Trying to look forward, which you are actually looking straight up destroys your neck while you are banging around.
This ride is awesome.
Idk how you haven't heard good things. Maybe you're thinking of Nighthawk
This one is actually awesome just stay away from Nighthawk
Ride looks extremely smooth
this to me was way more intense than night hawk was for me. then again just about every coaster i did on my visit was a game of who can 1 up the pain levels. the only not so bad ones were firebird in the front row, and wild one anything before the double down, also screw that helix. my insides felt juggled after i got off. i will say mind eraser was surprisingly smooth outside 1 rough patch near the end.
If Six Flags isn’t gonna invest in this park, they should sell it. This park deserves another coaster badly
You need to understand the risk of adding new coasters. Six flags doesnt just add coasters to the big parks for no reason, its because they know they'll get more people to come to the park. Same can't be said for this park.
@@alecvip7562 I get that point. But they haven’t even tried since 2001. Ragin Cajun and Firebird does not count. The reason why a lot of locals stopped going is because they’re tired of Superman being the only great ride. They can’t expect people to ride the same rides for 20 years and keep renewing their pass when there’s 3 other parks nearby that’s constantly adding new stuff
I’d agree, but there’s not many companies out there that would do this park much better, if better at all.
@@ItsSiebay I think Herschend Family Entertainment could work some magic
Best ride at SFA, super underrated. I guess it's closed alot but when I went there it was open all 2.5 days. (.5 because I got rained out twice) Back row is amazing.
Superman is the best. Stop the cap
@@jonb2911 not even close. Superman is good but this ride is so much better
@@jonb2911 To each his own
Just went a couple weeks ago. Park’s gotten better since I was a kid going there, but it’s still got a terrible layout and it’s clearly been neglected by the chain as far as investment. At least now it’s clean and no longer crumbling. It needs landscaping, it needs development, and it needs a new coaster. Firebird is okayish, the SLC runs okay, ROAR just hurts, and this ride gives you headaches from the blood going to your head but Wild One, Superman, and Jokers Jinx are all really good rides complimented by some solid flat rides and a great waterpark so it’s still a good time.
Dang That's was so epic and awesome wow I like that ride you guys are so stay safe.
I seriously got dizzy and sick to my stomach watching this now I gotta go lay down
This was the scariest roller coaster I rode because it only goes backwards
Funny how they named a coaster over a coaster element it doesn't have.
It’s meant to be named after Batman’s plane which is called the batwing.
Second! This looks amazing!
I would never hold my phone in my hand for this ride or the superman.
He had a go pro that is strapped to his hand you can see the stick in the shadows
This ride so soooooo rough. Speaking from experience, after 2 rides your back is done for the day
I love ur videos so much!
Best coaster in the world!!.. Maybe not
That lived till sounds tor uppppppp!
This just reminds me of how upset I was when KI took out Firehawk.
That was a great ride and location
@@danielmar4532 so much potential with the surrounding land
Ah yes, Sarah’s favorite.
Few more days till I can complete the trio of this coaster!
For the coaster credits argument, I think a ride should be 2 different credits if the renovation changes the type of ride, for example the standup-> floor less conversions. So that means that something like ninja->blue hawk wouldn’t count as two credits because the type of coaster isn’t changing. So by the terms of my argument, lightning rod would count as 2 credits. I also think a ride should count as a coaster if 1- it moves independently with a train on coaster track
2- it has a rollercoaster section (for example journey to Atlantis)
Would the runaway mine train at alton towers or the buffalo coaster at drayton manor count as credits then?
@@bennickss I know it’s a powered coaster, but I still count it as a coaster because it runs freely on the track, which it says now that GRAVITY has to propel it, but I’m changing it to it running freely on the track, so to my standards, it counts as a coaster credit. Edit: I changed my original comment from being gravity propelled to moving freely along the track. Meaning that Larson loops DO NOT COUNT *cough cough six flags*
@@MatthewCofer The mine train seems to speed up during the tunnel, meaning that it may coast at parts and uses the power on uphill sections
@@bennickss I believe your right. I changed what I said about gravity just in case it didn’t, because we all know powered coasters are coasters cuz it says powered COASTER.
Pretzel loop from hell. Who would design that
Cool Coaster
Railblazer for SFA
Put on your shades escape to yesterday the sunlight hurts my eyes.
made to pass out in the proper position
nighthawk probably won't re-open so this is likely the last dutchman!
Lol... Where one earth did you get that idea from? They just invested huge into Nighthawk. literally just repainted it, completely updated the terrain and ordered the new computer for it (which is what they're waiting on).
So disorienting, I could barely take the pretzel loop on tatsu, so I can't imagine a laying down loop
Haven't done Tatsu and really want to try it, but I will say that the loop on Batwing is *intense*
kewl
how much is the price for this ride
Seems to be dangerous for your eyes, right when you come out at the beginning the sun is right in your eyes and could blind you. And if you wear sunglasses, they'll probably fall off, so only way to ride would to be closed eyes or at night time or on a cloudy day.
Or don’t look at the sun
…..what? Lmfao
@@TheBladeWolf oh yeah that's easy when the ride points your eyes right to the sun. Think MCFLY!
@@Jacckac What part didn't you understand!
I sungaze lol
this is an actual POV
What?
@@CoasterEverything i think i had seen several other videos of this coaster which claimed to be POVs but weren't. Because they just had the camera at the front of the train, but that is not the POV of the passengers.
hey
How did you mount the camera for this one?
probably mounted it on wrist
@@jabobthegod There is no way it's mounted to his wrist, look how smooth it is.
