    Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

    Always trying new ideas 🤔in my 🚐. Got some new ideas to try! So far I found keeping as much sun ☀ out is key. I have pre cut a bunch of reflective film for the windows and made sure ALL my windows are tinted. Also, driving or sleeping at the hottest times like 12-5pm has been helpful for saving on resources.

    Mait that is an excellent video. You mentioned that RVS without ladders may not be walkable. I have a Coleman CTS192. Do you know if it is walkable? Also how do you maintain a roof which is not walkable? Thanks!

    During the heat of the day, I use a generator to run my air conditioner (also charges the batteries). Otherwise, I might run the air conditioner off the RV's batteries by simply plugging the RV's main power cord into an inverter, with the RV's battery charger turned off at the fuse box. This combination provides a lot of flexibility.

    You might want to remind owners to watch for overhead wires when on the roof of camper.

    Covering your roof with insulation like those car window covers will keep the inside a lot cooler

    I have a 3500 watt champion inverter generator and it overloads, but the company advertises it can handle not only a 13.5k btu AC but also a 15k btu. I have a 13.5k btu. Do you think it's the start capacitor malfunctioning?

      Daniel A you need to turn your breakers off at the converter box only keep the main and ac on when the ac kicks in for a minute or 2 turn your breakers back on, my chanpion inverter does the samething

    How many watts do you need to run 3 air conditioner

    • @TGORVCO
      @TGORVCO  5 років тому

      Reflector, this is a pretty technical question having to do with power management systems and such... shortest answer is probably 9000 watts if you are trying to run all three at one time, but reach out to Nate, our Parts Manager at 970.313.4337 and he can walk you through what you will need specific to your situation.

    Everything else on the face of the earth has figured out how to make built in ACs but RVs and trailers are still behind the curve. " Hey Bob , thats a really nice RV design but you forgot the air conditioning"
    Bob responds " Yeah I know I ll just slap on a giant unsightly afterthought looking thing on the roof and call it done" .
    If they can run 75 ft of High and low pressure lines in my house into the attic from the outdoor compressor then it can be done on an RV. Just build the condenser and compressor into a vented side box and have a ceiling bulkhead that feeds ducts. Your already losing that much roof clearance from that box.
