@tlc496 It sounds like the refrain that they are singing is "I'm gonna wait on the Lord". I'm African American (not Gullah) and/but I don't know that song.. I'm interested in learning more about it also.
Azizi Powell Gullah Geechee are African American, from the sea coast islands to the main land Carolinas Georgia north Florida and spread throughout America.
at one point majority of African Americans spoke similar and had the same practices. We're all African American but the Gullah Geechee people were able to retain more of our traditional culture.
I'm a fifth generation Gullah Geechee and very proud . My Great Great Grand folks from Savannah Ga and South Carolina

Love it. My father's family is from Charleston! I tell you it's a great culture!
Gullah descendant here, from my grandfather (father's father, born in Savannah, GA in 1886), and father's mother, born in Nassau, Bahamas, in 1900.
I LOVE MY PEOPLE
I plan on visiting Charleston in June and would love to experience Gullah cuisine. Can't wait to get down there!
